The pressure switch on my Campbell Hausfield compressor stopped working so pressure would build until the relief valve blew. The compressor is more than twenty years old and I couldn't locate a replacement part. The folks at General Motor Repair located the part and repaired the compressor -very helpful people.

Wow! These guys are great. 2pm today, 4th of July weekend I bring in my Air Conditioner fan motor, they went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed to get my air conditioner ready for the hot weekend and beyond. Best customer service, would definitely recommend. Very knowledgeable, and wanting to help those DIY ers out there!

I'm not one to give ratings on a website, but this company is worth my time to do so. I've used these guys numerous times in a span of over 10 years and never once had any issue with their repairs. The people here are very detail oriented, professional and know their stuff! Great staff and friendly atmosphere. If I were to live at the coast and needed a pump rebuilt, I would make the drive back to Greensboro to have this shop repair my pump, that should speak volumes about the workmanship of this company!! Highly recommended

These people are very professional and friendly. Howard was very helpful and answered all my questions. He fixed my pool motor same day. I brought it to them and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be back.

Saved me around $1500. Blower fan went out on my furnace and the HVAC company wanted over $1500 for the repair. Got the motor out and Doug had it fixed and running in 30 minutes (would have been faster, but he left it running to make sure the fix took).

the best kept secret in Greensboro. Its hard to find quality and honesty like this today. This business confirms there are still real people in this world. The work is exceptional, and you know when they say its fixed, its fixed. GREAT COMPANY.

Had an odd piece of equipment - a motorized electrical cord winder reel for my RV. It uses 12 volt to power the winding motor and it stores a 40' heavy 50 amp 110 volt AC cord with a 110 volt AC collector plate and brushes transfer system. No one wanted to even look at it. These guys replaced the brushes and got it working again for a price that I was very happy with. If you are in the area give them a try.

After calling about a dozen places, I finally called General Motor Repair and they had the exact blower motor I needed and gave me great advice for how to install it. Hands down the best service I got and now my wife and I can have heat in our house!

David is hands down the best and the most honest. He gave me 4 different size fuses to take home to see which one fit a sick family members air conditioner. He told me what to check and where. What a great human being .I cant say enough goods things about David.

Best motor shop in North Carolina. They will take care of you. They are honest and trustworthy. You could leave a $100 dollars on the counter, come back the next day and it would be there right where you left it.On a side note.... if you decide to leave $100 on the counter let me know what day your gonna stop by.

Have used them twice with excellent results and good prices. They repaired an electric lawnmower and wire on a smart lock. They're now my "go to" shop for repairs. They're "good ol' boys" you'll treat you right.

I highly recommend this company. I had a pump motor down at my printing company and press production was at a standstill.I took the motor in and with David Ross's decades of experience, he knew exactly what the problem was just from my description of the motor's symptoms. The motor was fixed on the spot in only 20 minutes at a very reasonable rate and I was able to get production back online that afternoon

Dropped off a motor about a month ago and they didn't do anything at all. Called today and the guy was very very rude. He kept telling me they are looking at it right now and asked me to call back in an hour. Finally he hang up on me without even an apology for the crazy delay. Very unprofessional and rude. Go find another place to do your job. Avoid at all cost.

Although they could not repair my A/C condenser motor, because the maker doesn't sell the part needed, the folks here went out of their way to help me and give all the info I needed to go in a different direction. They offered to order me a new OEM motor ($$$ from the air conditioning OEM manufacturer) and their price was substantially lower than going through either the manufacturer or even Ebay. They could even beat the price on a universal fit motor that I had gotten through Grainger, which I considered until they helpfully added that it would be difficult for a layman like me to install properly due to the rewiring I 'm not really qualified to do. Anyone else would have just sold me the motor. I didn't wind up spending any money with them today, but I'll recommend them to anyone based on price comparison, friendliness and good customer service even when it was clear I wasn't going to be buying anything today. But they'll be the first place I go if I need to spend money on electric motors or repairs in the future.

Offered to save me some money and do a rebuild on my blower motor. Got it and had my HVAC Tech install it. It only connects one way. The motor blew after about 20 seconds. Took it back the next day, tried to explain what happened but fell on deaf ears. They blamed my HVAC Tech stating he hooked it up wrong! Again...it is a Molex type connector and only can plug in one way. They then said they were not able to rebuild the motor again and I had to buy a new one without getting any credit for the blown one. I was with my HVAC guy the whole time. He did not hook it up wrong. The rebuild was bad and this place does NOT stand behind its work and basically has called my HVAC Tech as well as myself liars. Basically, it seems to me like the old Bait and Switch deal. I will never darken their door again and do not recommend using them for anything!

Rebuilt my 15 year old AO smith HVAC blower motor Put in new bearings and now runs like new. Now the fan is back to its normal RPMs and blows strong throughout the house. Saved a bunch of money not having to buy a new one.
