Unbelievable service! Their honestly saved us literally thousands! I can't speak enough on how impressed my family was to hear that we didn't have to replace our transmission. Also the staff was very nice and professional in person as well as phone conversation. Top notch services

This was 1 of the worst service experiences I ve ever had. And just for a point of reference my husband and I own a transportation company with a fleet of 20 sprinter vans. So we re no stranger to dealing with mechanics. The owner was initially very friendly, but then after about 2 weeks of the vehicle being in the shop there was no communication. We were quoted a price range for the work that would be done. Of course when we finally got a call that the vehicle was ready for PU it was at the top of that price scale, no explanation nor owner around since he was gone off to the mountains. Reluctantly we paid for the service. Literally less than 24 hours later my driver is on the highway and the transmission goes out. Fast forward a month and to make this very long story short, the vehicle is still down. The owner and his service manager lied, continued to charge us and was extremely rude. This is my warning to anyone reading this review, even if you have to spend a little more elsewhere it ll save you time and money in the long run to avoid these people as I was referred to by the owner.

Rebuilds transmission, throws torque convertors away without giving it back to the customer who has to turn it in for a core, thanks for charging me extra for nothing.

Needed my transmission repaired/rebuilt, so I googled a local transmission shop. East Coast Transmission was first on the page. I contacted them and the owner, Darrell was very helpful, patient and all around friendly during the whole process. His techs took apart my transmission and had it ready in 2 days. Now I did bring them my transmission already out of the car, but 2 days is extremely quick. Fast and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone. Also a 2 year warranty. I am very pleased with this business as my transmission is installed and running like a champ!Service: Transmission

I brought in my car after my mechanic and I noticed a noise coming from the transmission, I was really worried it was going to be a very expensive repair. They took a look and the owner Darrel called me back and told me that yes it does make a noise but nothing we should be worried about that it was up to me he would not spend the money to fix the noise unless the problem became worse. That was a much needed break and I really appreciated his honesty.Service: Transmission

I can t go off of these reviews. My family and I were in trouble, our transmission went out in 2016 , daryl not only towed our car for free, but patiently kept our car free of storage charge for 2 1/2 years money problems constantly aroused and he understood that The price was steep but I do have a Honda so I wasn t looking for cheap. He kept our car for that long and kept in touch. I got my car back February 2018 and it is running like new. I am African American, and I had no trouble with anyone. I would gladly go back.

Wow! Wow! Wow! You just don't get this level of customer service and thorough work any more these days. But these men nailed it, explained everything clearly, precisely and with care. We have had 4 different transmissions repaired at AAA Transmissions on Bessemer Ave in Greensboro NC. We have been provided excellent service from their staff and have never experienced any problems with their workmanship. I would highly recommend this shop. The shop is always busy and service is excellent.

We were reluctant to invest so much $$$ in a repair we could barely afford, but now we are so glad we did! Our vehicle was a difficult foreign design to work on, and AAA (East Coast) performed the work with true professionalism at a lower cost than any of the other estimates we got. No hidden costs, even when the job ended up costing them more money to fix because of finicky and weak Volvo parts that failed during the replacement. Darrell kept his word on the price and even comped us a discount for a short delay in getting the car back due to having to wait on a special order part from Volvo. We have over 1000 miles on our car now since the transmission rebuild with no issues. And the 3 year warranty is a huge peace of mind because we are confident that they will honor the warranty should anything happen within that time. Honest, believable, professional, and polite. Great little shop and the guys there seem to really know their stuff.

Honest repair place. Not what I wanted to hear but I knew it wasn't going to be good news. Transmission is doing great now... possibly better than any time that I have had the car.

I still regret ever taking my vehicle there in 1999! Vehicle was in shop and fenced in area. I had a $1,500.00 audio system taken while it was being worked on. Nothing but rudeness was given owner and employees.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Worst service ever. They damaged other parts of my vehicle. I haven't been able to drive it long enough to see if they even repaired the transmission. They were supposed to fix a pump for the transmission. I was told it would take 2 days. 6 weeks later i told them I was coming to pick up my vehicle. When I got there they told me it would be another hour before it was ready. The owner or boss is never there when I go to address this problem. Do not take your vehicle to this place.

The owner and ALL mechanics here (I use the word mechanic loosely) are crooks and idiots!! They took almost 10 days to rebuild my transmission and after 7 mths, my transmission went out again...owner Darrel blamed it on whomever installed my rebuilt motor didnt put a spacer where the transmission connects to the motor!!?? He then said the transmission wont fit correctly to motor and work properly without spacer...so I asked him 1.why didnt he see this when he put my tranny back and connect to my motor? 2. How did he get my transmission to fit to motor without a spacer? "Uh...it was hard to get it to fit, but we did it and the mechanic just didnt notice that no spacer was on it" Darrel tries to explain and fumbles....If it wasnt for the fact that I had an extended warranty on the car which covered the motor and tranny...I would've sued them in court to rebuild tranny second time at HIS cost!! Of course my tranny went out just a few miles past the little bs warranty they give on all their work... Do NOT take your car here, they are very shady. Fool me once shame on you...fool me twice shame on me...

Had my ring and pinion replaced in my rear differential supposedly about 3 months ago. now need new ring and pinion. turns out that they need replaced it. i bought the parts and they didn't replaced them. they just kept the parts and put something to hold up for a while.

I have had three different types of vehicles transmission done great technicians that works there and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful I haven't had nothing but great work done to my vehicles here

***Update***Transmission still flawless years later. You won't find a better value.The wifes 4t65e took a dump in her grand prix. Had it towed in on friday, they diagnosed it by tuesday, I picked it up on friday. Complete rebuild and upgrade. So far so good, very happy.

Never on time!! Always over charge. Seems like the longer he keeps your car after telling you about certain date the price rises. . He says he helps military and he looks out for greensboro college stud. All lies!! No good at all!!

The owner of this shop Darrell Owen is a crook. Told me I would get a rebuilt transmission but actually he only rebuilt half of it. Put the wrong trans fluid in it also after the rebuild. They don't know nothing about diesel truck. Don't let this crook fool you

East coast transmission's are the best....they have fixed 3 of my cars with warrantys and they are great...watch out for the lil man with glasses walking around with his chest out....he is really rude 4 no apparent reason....but the guy who takes your money...hes a solid dude!

This place is not worth even fooling with had my transmission rebuilt and it took forever around 2 months I believe, then took it back for yet another transmission problem a couple months later, now a year down the road in the same spot I was in when I started a piece of s*** transmission. Would never recommend to anyone...
