Great service! They replaced my transmission in about 3 days but initially I still had transmission issues. But after I took it back to them they determined that the transmission fluid level was low. My car has been running fine since that day.

These guys are the Best, we ve been working with Shop for the last six years and have done numerous transmission rebuilds with absolutely no complaints. They are very accommodating and always give you the best service at a reasonable price

Cottman was referred to me from AAA and they did not disappoint me. They fixed the transmission and something wasn't right, so they took the car back and fixed the problem in a timely manner.Rob is on top of everything, and as an invaluable member of the business, he is extremely professional and conscientious.

Took car in on Tuesday (leaking fluid from transfer case , diagnosed and part ordered. Part arrived Friday installed Monday and back on the road Monday pm. Quick and efficient service. Unfortunately, an expensive service but cheaper than the dealer and just as good with 1 yr warranty on parts. Happy so far. Would recommend happily. Rob was very easy to work with.

Cottman's quickly diagnosed what I thought was a transmission problem and fixed my vehicle. It turned out to be a cylinder misfire and now my vehicle runs great. Highly recommend them

Let me start off by saying "Thank You" to Rob the team at Cotton Transmission team. I brought in my 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5L because the car wouldn't go over 40mph. When you give it gas, the car would jerk and sputter and wouldn't not pull. I thought it was the transmission acting wonky or dying, because I'm no mechanic. I spoke to Rob about looking at the car. This was on a monday and he couldn't get to it until Thursday. On Thursday as promised, he ran the car through their diagnostic check and it wasn't reading a bad transmission, but a exhaust issue. Rob contacted me saying, that I didn't have a bad transmission, but an exhaust clog. He gave me a recommendation of where I could take the car to get them to check it out. (Merican Muffler Of Greensboro). From the moment I spoke with Rob over the phone, in person, over the phone and picking my car up, he stayed engaged and very professional. They are a company of their word, they diagnosed my car " FREE" of charge!!!! Again thank you Rob for everything!!!!! P.S. I dropped my car off on Wednesday evening, Rob diagnosed on Thursday, I picked it up on Thursday, drop it off to Merican Muffler on Thursday, they diagnosed it and found the problem on Friday, and had my car back to me on Monday running smoother than ever!!!!!!

Consider the importance of personal pleasantness and professional knowledge. My wife and I have had two rather major tasks for Cottman to perform. Communication with updates, and glad willingness to work with vehicle extended warranties; these are additional marks of their work approach, with a bit of patience for customers who can t stop talking about themselves or not understanding, period. I remain at the ready to answer any all questions from potential customers. One wants to contribute whatever he/she can to keep such places as Cottman alive and thriving. It's been 6 months now. They rebuilt my transmission but had problems. Worked on it but still had problems. They ordered a transmission and installed but still have same problem with the new one! So far not a good experience with this business!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

This place is amazing! I had been here a few years ago when a dealership said we needed a new transmission for $5,000. Turns out that nothing was wrong with it and it ran for several years after that. Now another car and another dealer wants us to spend $8,000 for a reman transmission. I was on a very tight schedule and Cottman worked us in and got it fixed for $2,500. That might seem like a lot but I feel like it was a great deal and they saved us over $10,000 on two vehicles. I definitely recommend them.

Told me they couldn't adjust or repair the roughly shifting spacing so I did it watching YouTube & it only takes two hours to get it done. Couldn't believe how easy it was either since I DKS about it.

Once my car was driven, Rob called & EXPLAINED & broke down in wordings what was going on with my Transmission to where I understood. EXCELLENT with estimate total (less than others estimates..TRUE amt align with their estimate, PROMPT with returning calls & COMPLETED work on my car 1day earlier. I was referred to them via family member & Most Definitely will Refer them to others. Very Much Pleased & Satisfied with their Work!!!

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a mechanic shop. Talked to Rob about my 2002 Nissan Pathfinder transmission being rebuilt and having rear main oil seal replaced since dropping transmission to rebuild anyway. They did not do rear main oil seal correctly, to put gasket in correctly you need to drop oil pan, it leaked out 5 quarts of oil in one month and I do not drive my car everyday im disabled so i go to doctors or grocery store.I'm thankful I keep a check on fluids or my engine would have been ruined (blowed up) too, Rob made the rear main seal right after going up there 2 or 3 times and him trying to convince me it wasn't rear main seal. He told me it was my upper oil pan gasket leaking, took my car to another shop and it was my rear main oil seal leaking I got the shop to write it out on there letter head so back to Rob I go he had mechanic's fix it.It cost me $3,000.00 to rebuild my transmission for it to tear up with under 22,000 miles on rebuilt transmission what a waste of money I could have bought another car for that much money and I Did have to buy another car it was $4,000.00 I would not recommend for anyone to take there car there all I've heard from Rob is lies. I will be contacting cooperate. They did not do something right that is very clear! Telling me there's no modules or solenoids for transmission or electrical parts. Just does not make sense he must think woman are dumb I believe I was taken advantage of.That was a very expensive 22,000 miles!I know they're bound to have machines to check codes to make sure everything is functioning properly so I don't understand the problem.It's like my car is in neutral all the time.Very upsetting !!!!I've put so much money in my car trying to fix it up to come across a company like this that won't stand behind there work and I trusted them to work on it and it be right.

I was told that I had to pay 10k at the chevy dealership to get a new transmission but after reading all reviews at cottman transmission I give them a call and I do not have no regrets they worked with me and fixed my transmission for under 5k and it wasn't as bad as chevy mad it sound. Cottman is easily the best auto shop I've had the pleasure of working with. They genuinely care about taking care of their customers. They were not looking to just make a quick buck. Rob was extremely nice and helpful in diagnosing the issue in my car. It turned out that my car had to go to a dealership to be handled by the manufacturer, and he coordinated with them to transfer my car quickly and painlessly. Thank you to the entire team at this location. I reached out to this location to get an appointment for a warranty repair to my engine, they were able to get me an appointment in less than a week and they were able to complete the repair fast. I truly appreciate the entire staff at this location because prior to coming here I was completely overwhelmed and they made everything right for me. I dropped of the car one day and it was ready for pick up the very next day! I m grateful for Cottman Transmission, I used this company years ago and Virginia and had a wonderful experience back then also. Was disappointed with service received. Lack of communication, took them almost 30 minutes to find my car, I was not in their system even though I had dropped my car off.Not helpful at all.
