LATE POST: A few weeks ago on a Saturday night my car broke down at a stop light 2.5 hrs away from home. Contacted my insurance company only to find out that my car was only covered 12 miles and I could only get a tow to a local repair shop covered by insurance. A tow back home was at $900+. So, I was towed locally. After 3 hours of being at the repair shop, it was agreed that the car (BMW) could not be repaired there. Thankfully, the next morning (Sunday) BMW Assist towed me 1.5 hours closer to home to a BMW dealership. That was my only option being that I could not get back home. BMW ran a diagnostic ($350 fee). Results of failure of fuel pump and fuel module. I had these 2 parts replaced in April of this year at Classic Import Auto. I immediately contacted them because it had only been about 4 months and wanted to see if the parts was still covered under warranty. Bob immediately got to work and contacted Steve and they agreed that it was covered under warranty. Being that the car was In Durham and it would cost me to get get the car towed to them for repair, they agreed to pay the dealership for the repair. Bob kept constant contact with me and the dealership through the week it took for repair. During the week I did not have transportation to work and missed that week. I also had to Uber back to the dealership to pick up the car which was an hour away ($$$). After speaking with Bob about the entire ordeal, he concluded that had the parts not failed, I would not had experienced any of this. Which was very stressful and I am leaving out a large part of dealing with 2 separate very stressful tows over the course of that weekend breakdown. Because of all this, Bob agreed to reimburse me of all money spent for the diagnostic and Uber and took care of the repair bill directly. His communication with me through it all was superb!!! He was very professional and polite. Which is very hard to receive from anywhere today. I was totally in awe of the way my situation was handled. CLASSIC IMPORT AUTO SERVICE is the best repair facility I have EVER experienced and I recommend them 1000 times over. Did I mention that Bob also through in a free oil change, that I do plan on using when due. Bob and Steve thank you for being professionals and outstanding business owners!!!! ***Forgive me all for my long review but I needed to paint the picture of the relief these guys gave me because I was stressed! My wife and I were looking for someone to do a thorough inspection of our recent purchase, a 1991 Jaguar XJS V12. We found Classic Import Auto Service and scheduled the service with Bob. We were more than impressed with his knowledge and the information he provided. There are some maintenance issues that will need to be addressed and we're completely confident that they have the expertise to take care of them.

This was the first time my VW CC has had any major work done on it and I am so glad that I went to Classic Imports. The staff was very polite and answered all my questions. I was quoted a reasonable price for the diagnostic and was informed of what needed to be fixed. I was expecting to spend a whole lot of money for the repair and when I was given the estimate I was so pleasingly surprised that it was a fraction of what I was expecting. The work they did was done quickly and professionally. I highly recommend these guys and will take my car back again and again. Steve and Bob were so professional, friendly, and very honest about everything. Their customer service is way and beyond. When my car was ready, they picked me up from my house because I didn't have a way there. Also they helped me understand and operate my vehicle as this was my first Mercedes-Benz experience. They are wonderful everytime I have my Mini worked on. There are other shops in the area that boast about the work they do on Minis and other European cars and they are HOT, WET GARBAGE compared to Classic Import Auto Service. I am beyond thankful to never have to deal with the smug customer service of Eurobahn again. Take your car here and you won't regret it.

I have a 20 year old car that I love, and don't think the recent versions of the same model are as desirable. I continue to take it to Classic Import for service that is honest, efficient, and friendly. A new customer, I had Classic Imports do an inspection of a new to me vehicle, and later replace the rear brakes (which had been suggested by prior owner and confirmed by Classic). No problems with the work, and I was impressed w Bob & Steven. They take time to discuss and understand what s going on. And while they will of course do every little thing to care for your car, they were also happy to advise me on what I can DIY and some things to look out for when I do. Classic Import is my go-to car service for my Mercedes GLE350. The work has always been prompt and correct. These are mechanics that can be trusted. They has serviced my cars for years, but this year was more than usual. I planned a motor trip to Alaska and back, it it was really important for the car to be in first class operating condition for that long trip with frequently unavailable service opportunities. Bob, Steven and the guys checked out the car thoroughly before we left and pronounced it good to go for this trip. I had budgeted 10,000 miles, and they said I would need new tires when I returned. The only car issue that I had was my own underestimate of how far I would drive - it turned out to be 18,000 miles plus. The trip was very hard on a car with hundreds of miles of unpaved roads, roads pockmarked with potholes, hot pavement, frozen pavement, slippery because of snow and ice, slippery because of rain and mud - you name it, we went through it. After the worst of the roads, the infamous Dalton Highway - known as the most dangerous highway in America - I had a slow leak in a tire, so I took the car to a tire shop in Anchorage, AK. They advised that I would need a set of new tires to get home. The odometer showed a little more than 10,000 miles on the trip. With the new tires, we arrived home safe and sound with no other car issues. When I got home, they made a prompt appointment for follow-up care, and we are good as new still.This is the very definition of great service. I moved recently, and as the owner of a 20 yr old German car, I think it's important to find a mechanic that's an expert on your brand. They diagnosed my problem and fixed it right. The only downside is that they're somewhat expensive(but older German cars aren't cheap), and they didn't get back to me with a diagnosis in the time they specified. Both are minor. They're also quite busy, so make an appointment.Service: Electrical repair

A family member referred me to Classic Import Auto because they had received outstanding service on their Mercedes Benz with this company. So when i needed my vehicle evaluated for a power stering problem i went right to them, the experts. They were able to diagnose that problem and other essential repairs for me to be safe on the road. Their prices were reasonable and their customer service outstanding! They treat you like family and with the upmost respect. I highly recommend ithem f you need a honest, quality and affordable mechanic.

Bob was recommended by a friend and I am so glad he was!! He did excellent work on a power steering repair. And he was very kind to fix my car clock, as I noticed halfway home after picking up my car! It was six hours off and I couldn t figure it out and he courteously fixed it for me. Bless him always! Prices are fair and repairs were timely. I didn t expect my car for a few days but was very anxious about it and he was very reassuring and he/his mechanics speedily got the rack overhaul completed.
