He was professional and was able to get me in even though he was busy. He got my estimate done quickly and has a nice, organized, and clean working space. Will be back for work in the future if he has time for my bike!

Had a spectacular custom exhaust created. It is definitely a one off for a 2007 VFR 800. Still allowed for 4 pipes. Also had them create a track bike for me. Will have this place do my work again for sure.

Last year, I met Benjamin at the DGR. Ben suggested I do some upgrades on my T100. Enclosed are some before and after shots of my front end. In the words of Arnold, "I will be back!"

Haven't gone in yet, but Benjamin was the only mechanic out 5 others I called that would work on my bike. I have '95 Virago, which I inherited from my grandfather after he passed a couple of weeks ago. Everyone said the carb needed work but they didn't work on bikes that old anymore. Benjamin was nice, mentioned he worked on a few before, and it seems like I need my carbs serviced. He offered his help and I'll be going in on June 29th, I'll make sure to post updates!!

Just 3 days before a trip to Daytona I discovered that my rear cylinder head had a striped spark plug hole. Benjamin had me come in the next morning and repaired it in less than an hour. He saved my trip and at a super low cost! Thanks Benjamin.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

over the years I have never felt compelled to write a review of anything. yet Benjamin stepped above and beyond the call of duty to help me out of a fix entirely of my own making, making a housecall and diagnosing an issue for me to get me back and running. he's now worked on both my 77 and 83 hondas, and done a fine job on both. my bikes will only be going to one place. and i love to visit his shop to check out the amazing bikes people bring in to repair and restore. it's like a motorcycle museum.

Ben really knows his stuff, is polite, and professional! Helped me set up my suspension for my type of riding, advised me on a fork seal issue (will be saving for a week or two for that one), and invited me to hang out with them when track season rolls around. GMW is definitely a great place to have for the local Motorcycle community.

I called around for a quote on a tire and these guys were the most helpful by far. The tire wasn't the cheapest, but the service I got was the best so it was more than worth it. The owner (I can't remember his name for the life of me) answered a bunch of my questions and kept me up to date on the process. I'd definitely come back to get work done.(My bike is a Ninja 300, but they work on all kinds of bikes)

To start off, I highly recommend this business when it comes to maintaining and repairing your bikes. I recently bought a bike and had no knowledge of its history other than the previous owner made some modifications that were less than ideal. Had Ben run through the whole bike, oil change, carbs, led signals and resolving a few leaks. Time took more than initially expected so the price was higher than first quoted. I didnt fight it and he offered to comp some of the service to help me out. This means a lot because I didnt even ask for a lower price. Stand up guy, awesome business. Will definitely be back.

The boys did a good job on my bike. I wanted it to run and they got it running. they were friendly and helpful. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is because they are outrageous on the pricing. I personally won't be returning. Note this has nothing to do with customer service or lack of skill. I'm not rich by any means but I'm sure I can find a knowledgeable mechanic at reasonable prices.

GMW is a great shop. Benjamin is very good with modern and vintage bikes. He has my 1966 Honda 305 Scrambler back running nicely after a long period in storage. Your bike will be in good hands at Gaston Motor Werks.

Benjamin and his crew did an excellent job for me on a recent repair of a 1982 Honda CB750 F. The job was complex and difficult and something I did not want to tackle on my own. Their expertise was invaluable. Highly recommended.

Benjamin is top notch. I have a 1980 Honda CBX and it needed a carb rebuild and a few other things. I have owned the motorcycle since new and I am very particular about who services it and the work performed. I am delighted to have it back in perfect working order. This is the place for any bike, but more specifically, unique bikes.

I couldn't find a decent repair shop to work on my ancient (1998) Honda ST1100. It was running really rough, seemed to be carb problems. I had brought it to Lees Performance maybe two years ago for the same issue and $800 later it wasn't running any better. So i'd stopped riding it for the most part. I figured I'd give it one more shot before getting rid of it. And I'm glad I did! Carb issues are gone and it runs probably better now that it has the entire time I've owned it. Really, really great work guys!!!!

Gaston Motor Werks is the ONLY place my husband will ever take his bike to from now on! After bad experiences at another shop, AND wasting over $1,000.00, he then took his bike to GMW. Benjamin found out what it needed, did the carburetor work on it, and got it running PERFECT!! GMW isn t local to us, BUT we will definitely drive the distance to get the excellent service they offer. Thanks Benjamin!

They did good work on my bike, but it took 6 weeks to get the bike back. They had a mechanic quit, which I understand, but they didn't bother to let me know how significant a delay they were at and just kept me at a "we're almost done".

An absolute Jewel! Benjamin, and everyone else, were very friendly. After going to several shops with my Ninja 250 no one could, or was willing to, take care of me. Benjamin maintenanced and cleaned the carbs and had me back on the road in no time. A reasonable price, great service, and now the only place I'll be taking my rides. You can't go wrong with Gaston Motorcycle Werks!

I met Benjamin, just over one year ago, and through many visits to the shop, I witnessed numerous re-habitations of many classic rides. The attention to detail, love and respect that he places on his work is obvious and commendable. Rest assured... you need work done, it shall me done, correctly, and with care and at reasonable cost!!!!Thanks GMW!!!!!!!!!!

I took my 73 CB350F to have a few issues worked out. They did a great job and they were quick. They even made arrangments to take my bike on a Saturday when they are normally closed. I highly recommend taking your bike there.

I want to thank GMW for all their help and time on my machines. They are treated better here than that at my own house! As a matter of fact, i am now a better bike daddy because the knowledge and experience this shop has to offer. Ive learned a lot from Benjamin- Kudos for being an amazing business that really does care. Customer for life

GMW performed a mechanical miracle on my 1978 Goldwing. I took it there in non-running condition and within one day Benjamin had it purring like it was new. New timing belts were also installed. When I need new tires I get a great price on the tires and install. I have also referred several bike friends to the shop with the same results. Thanks GMW!

I own 5 motorcycles and GMW has worked on them all. From the 1970's inline 4's to my more modern SV650 track bike, Benjamin has the skills to fix whatever I bring to his way. I'm not just talking tuning and tire changes, he can diagnose and solve the tough problems. He's a good fabricator too!

Wonderful experience. I've taken my 1982 KZ750 to a handful of people over the years and I've always come away broke and disappointed. GMW not only fixed the issues we talked about, but spent extra time ironing out long standing problems that other shops couldn't fix because "that's just how old bikes are". I just took my KZ back for maintenance, and GMW will be the only place I take it. I have literally searched for years for a shop like this. Five stars, all day.

To Russia and back! I have a unique motorcycle that left the factory with gremlins and built good enough; its called a Russian Ural. I have chased many issues over 2 years but finally Benjamin was able to balance, fix and troubleshoot all the craziness in order for the bike to run better than ever. Highly recommend 5star. Finally 1 stop shop.

Benjamin is a MOTORCYCLE GENIUS! Long story short, Benjamin did what no other mechanic could do when it came to making my 1991 FZR 1000 (exup valve removed by previous owner, I could honestly shoot them for doing that) a super-strong running bike. Other motorcycle shops wouldn't touch it and I personally didn't think it could be done. But with his expertise, he did the impossible and has me on the road with a bike that I can be proud to own. Thanks so much Benjamin! You have earned a customer for life!

My Baby, a 1993 Honda CBR600f2 in nearly mint condition with 34k miles that I've owned since college developed a carb problem. The good folks at GMW rebuilt the carburetors, took care of a few miscellaneous items and had me back on the road in less than 2 weeks. Really knowledgeable, and did what they said they would do. Highly recommended for bikes that need that extra attention to detail.

To Whom is reading this I want you to know that Gaston Motorcycle Werks in Gastonia, NC has my support in all the work they do. In the Summer of 2016 I had the opportunity to travel from the west coast to the East Coast. Anyone who knows motorcycles knows that theres guarantee maintenance in such a long-distance like I road(6,000 miles). It was hot and my least favorite humid(Something us california folk don t have). Calling shops all morning, no one could get me a new tire and brakes that same day. I was starting to get low on money and i figured I d try one last place and well I m glad I did. Benjamin is who I spoke with, and come to find out is the man behind it all at Gaston Motorcycle Werks was able to get me in that day to handle all I needed. Not only did Benjamin explain this history of his shop and how he started(Which was in his garage by the way) I was also able to walk back with him as he worked on my bike and got to just conversate with him and see him do what I needed to be done rather than waiting in a waiting room. Benjamin has gave me great inspiration to open my own shop since I am going to be attending a mechanic's School very soon. That day I walked out of that shop with with everything I needed plus a new shirt! I was so happy, until I got home and washed the new shirt to find out my washer had a problem and ripped the brand new shirt up.Benjamin if you ever see this just know I ll be back to visit and see what new cool projects you got going on also maybe I can get another shirt to rep it in california.Best of luck,Robert
