Highly recommend TAG Auto! We have used them multiple times for car repair services. Our personal experience has been amazing. Excellent customer service, reasonably priced, very knowledgeable, quality workmanship, and they go the extra mile in helping their customers. Brad and Joey always take time to explain, answer questions etc. We have never felt rushed and felt like they cared about making sure they exceeded expectations-which they always do! Joey even fixed an issue with a rattle under our hood which two other car places could not diagnose nor repair. We were so pleased. We would definitely recommend them to anyone who needed car repairs. Family oriented, local, quality service and friendly people. They will continue to have our business! Thank you all at TAG for all you do - we so appreciate it!

TAG Automotive has been great to me for 4 years now. They've worked on my car and my family's cars. Even though we live further in Kenly now, I still prefer to drive out to them than go to the pretty good shop in my own town. I can't sing their praises enough!

Very happy with T. A. G. Automotive. They quoted the lowest price on a timing belt for our van and were able to do the job within a day right before a long road trip. A couple weeks ago our low oil light came on and the friendly mechanics at TAG topped me off at no charge even though it was a while before my next oil change. They also fit me in last minute yesterday for some service needed and inspected a few things I pointed out without charging me. All the while making sure I got out in time to pick up the kids. Bobby and the team at TAG are the best. Highly recommended!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake replacement

Visited T.A.G Automotive for the first time today and the experience was excellent!My brakes were on their last life and Bobby and his son were able to get both rotors and all brakes pads replaced very quickly to get me back on the road at a great price. Customer service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommend based off this experience.

Service has gone downhill here quickly. Charging for things that were not the issue and then making the issue worse after service. Dropped a lot of money here for no gain in life of vehicle. It s actually worse than when we dropped it off. Went from being an everyday, reliable vehicle to undrivable after they did work to it. They basically laughed it off when telling me they made it worse. Of course we still got the bill though.Services: Transmission, Oil change

There goes my sons piano lessons for the month Just don t do it! The one star reviews aren t lying. Basic oil changes only if you need to go here.I went and spoke with the owner, seemed so friendly! Enjoyed our conversation, looked forward to finding a local place with a friendly face instead of a dealership. Simple job, oil change, tire rotation and windshield wipers.Picked it up, charged 120$ for windshield wipers!!! They called me about a small tire issue but didn t care to share they were placing premium windshield wipers on just because they were out of stock. The boy at the front claims they would have been 80$ a piece somewhere else. You can be sure we checked the cost of the identical wiper. 20$ for the actual wiper at other locations and if buying in the store and other locations said they replace them with courtesy labor (at no cost to me). Interestingly enough, they don t want to tell you the cost of the parts for a wiper , so their service invoice only shows 120$ for labor for wipers.Did they see me coming? As I addressed it to two young men who I assume are the mechanics/techs doing the work, telling them nicely my concern, how a simple courtesy phone call would have been highly respected and helped with return business, they were arrogantly smirking.We knew they weren t the owner so we tried to call back to speak with him just out of respect for our poor experience.The same boy gave the run around and had a humorous tone in his voice. I can t decide if the owner is OK and accepting of this or if he has no idea that some customer experience this. An aloof person would be getting taken advantage of , it s not honest business. The few one star reviews are just people taking their time to share with the community. We even did our due diligence of a phone call out of respect for them when we weren t given the same time.Services: Tire rotations, Wiper blade installation, Oil change

Single women don't use these people. They ripped me off. I took it to get alignment, told it would be around $79. after about 10min, it needed a tire rod & it would be around $800. Called my dad & he said to bring it home.They charged me $120 & called it a Diagnostic charge. Ladies, it wasn't, they took the tire off shook it put the tire back on. I left, my dad had the alignment done somewhere else. So Ipaid the $120 for nothing & still had to go to another place where they said it didn't need a tire rod & paid for the alignment. I stopped by to talk to owner, he wasn't there, guy took my number, waited a week, never heard from him. The next week I stopped & his son said he was the owner. I told him what happened, he didn't care. That was fair he said.I'm a small business owner & I don't like doing this. In fact, this is my 1st bad review. I hate being treated like this because I'm a woman & didnt know any better. I trust people do me like they would want to be treated.After talking to others, they told me I was ripped off .

Don t think about it, do it. T.A.G.s is a one stop shop for you and your entire family s automotive needs. I stand behind this business as a returning multi year customer. Every time I ve gone anywhere else for anything with my truck and now trucks I ve always ended up back home, at TAGs. They truly are the BEST in this business. As honest and humble as they come. From the owner down to the guys turning wrenches in the back I have never ever felt awkward or weird or like they were trying to get over on me. They call me every time with OPTIONS on what I can or should do with my truck. Yes, I AM a young, female, living in a city I am not from (Raleigh) and I feel like I m apart of the family here. Mr.Bobby is definitely my truck dad and I wouldn t have it any other way. Go. To. T.A.G.s !!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Broke down in Lowe s food parking lot in Clayton. Bobby and his son went out their way to make sure I was taken care of. They came an gave me a jump and installed an alternator later on at their garage. I got the work done for almost half less than what I was quoted at a few other shops around the week before. Very pleased with the quality an efficiency of their customer service. Will definitely be back !

I took my car in to be fixed after it stalled out. I told mechanic I only wanted to repair what was absolutely necessary. He told me it needed spark plugs, fuel injection cleaner and oil change. My friend didn't think that made sense. He asked the mechanic to check the cranshaft position sensor. Mechanic said he checked and it was fine. He later said we did the 90k mile maintenance *spark plugs, fuel injector, etc*. So I was charged $725. I got my car and within half an hour check engine light came back on, and had trouble turning on. The cranckshaft position sensor needs to be repaired. They refused to refund any $ and now I still need my car fixed.Service: Engine repair

Bobby, was extremely informational and professional. The service was quick and for the right price. He was honest with me. I was able to call him up a year later and asked for advice even being out of the state. I was having an issue with the part he installed and he immediately got on the phone with the company to make sure they would honour the warranty which they did. After further evaluation I found out there was nothing wrong with the part and Bobby saved me a $2000 fix because another company was trying to rip me off. I highly recommend this company if you want honest, expert advice and service!Services: Exhaust, Auto engine diagnostic

Such an honest business, I found out about T.A.G Auto from a tow truck driver. That same day I went to check them out which is when I meet Bobby! He was super friendly and helpful! He quickly offered to come to my home to check my car out which saved me some money on another tow. As well as had the car fixed in a day , one of a kind turn around time . Great customer service , he will be my forever be my mechanic. Very highly recommended.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!I was having some issues with my 2006 Jeep Wrangler that I had recently inherited from my late father, and I was so stressed out about it.. It hurt me to see that there was something wrong with this Jeep because this was my dad's prized possession. I took it to Pep Boys and after a whole day of them having it, they called and said they couldn't find anything wrong with it.. Um. okay. Did they even drive it??? Last time I had it on the road, the front passenger wheel was smoking and the wobble was so intense!My boyfriend suggested I take it to T.A.G. His family has trusted this shop for years, on some big rebuild jobs, and now I see why! They were so quick to find out the cause of the problem, called right away with an estimate, and had all of the replacements done in only 3 hours. Best experience I've had! Bobby was SO nice, put my mind at ease, and explained everything about the work they did, and the pricing was more than fair for all they put into it.I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Bobby and his team!! Although I didn't have the pleasure of meeting him or visiting his facility due to my schedule (had someone else drop it off and pick it back up), I was so impressed with the service! I'll definitely be back for any other vehicle needs!

The owner of TAG Auto, Bobby, and the fellows that work with him have serviced all of my vehicles for years. Bobby always goes out of his way to find an opening in his busy schedule to work my vehicles in for service. He has even offered to drive me home when I ve had to leave my car at his shop and/or pick me up at home so I could pick up my car. His service is always professional and his prices are fair. Its absolutely wonderful having such a Great Automotive service in our neighborhood.

This is the best auto shop that I have found around the Clayton area! I have to drive 30 minutes just to get there and will continue to do so. Bobby and his guys are fantastic. It is nice knowing someone that I can trust to take my car to get serviced. I love working with those who are honest and dependable! They are always willing to go the extra mile for their customers.

We have gone to TAG for years without ever being disappointed. The price is fair and the whole team always provides excellent service. I have referred friends and family to and have received nothing but thanks. Over the years, we have had service done including transmission replacement, electrical repair, engine repair, tire replacement, brake work. The team has always stood behind their work, if anything is not addressed to satisfaction, they will do whatever is needed to make it right. Bobby, the owner, has always been upfront and honest about pricing and recommendations. Ever since we discovered TAG, they have become our trusted mechanics.

I came in to get my half shaft and cooliant reservoir checked. These guys are great, real friendly and straight forward. Great pricing and service! Bobby makes you feel like your at friends garage getting some work done. I've brought my wife's car in and referred my sister in law. I will def continue having these guys look after my vehicles!

Bobby is a good man. He was very nice to me and I appreciate him. My transmission went out on my Nissan Quest. I have a full warranty but Bobby no longer takes warranties so he referred me to RK Auto and Transmission in Raleigh so I am waiting to see how everything turns out.

My daughter and her husband have been taking their cars to Tag for quite a while, and have been grateful for the great service they get. I started taking my car there too and can't say enough about how good it is to have someone I can really rely on to work on my car. It is such a pleasure to talk to Bobby about any issues or questions about my car, and he has always helped me out!

Bobby is great! I've taken my car to him twice. Both times gave me a breakdown of everything that needed to be done, as well as a cost breakdown. He's also super friendly; 6 months after I came in the first time, I came in again to get different work done. He immediately saw me and asked, "Hey, how are you doing? How's your fiance, have you gotten married yet?" All in all, very professional and very friendly.

Have been going to Tag for many years. Have always had a good experience with the owner Bobby and the head mechanic Brian. Have always trusted their work and ethics. Moving from the area and I hope I can find a another shop as good as this one. The owner Bobby is amazing! He deserves more than 5 stars. He is very professional and holds himself as well as his place of business up to the most highest of standards. I really like coming to him because he is very knowledgeable about cars and will never turn you away without a solution or fix to your problem. Please come to T.A.G Automotive and see Bobby! I am very thankful I found this place. Outstanding customer service and really great people. I got a flat tired on my way home and decided to stop there since it was the closest place. Not only did they take great care of my car, but were able to tell me about a few things that needed my immediate attention. The very next day I was able to get the work done. I recently moved to Clayton and will definitely continue to use T.A.G for all my repairs. You have an excellent team and your kindness and friendliness is greatly appreciated! Keep up the great work!

All I can say is I will be bringing the rest of my vehicles to Bobby. He was fair and upfront with everything I've asked of him and his shop. He has always fit me into the schedule when I've had several last minute fixes on my primary transportation. All you can ask for is a local, straight-forward solid mechanic at reasonable prices...and that's what you get with Bobby and TAG Auto.

We dropped of a vehicle that would not start. It took an extraordinarily long time to return a call with a diagnosis. They informed us it was a broken timing belt and that had caused other damage that would require parts. After months of waiting, they claimed they couldn't find parts. We retrieved the car and had it towed away. Our father in law opened up the hood and found nothing wrong with the belt and found it to be a dead battery.It's apparent that these guys couldn't even be bothered to open the car up and properly diagnose the issue.Avoid at all costs.Services: Electrical, Engine repair

I was recommended to this place and it was more than I expected service wise!!! These guys are awesome! I love my truck and do most of the work on it myself but I didn't have a big enough jack to do my brakes and rotate the tires. These guys took care of it for me and had it ready for me at the time they said it would take. Plus A LOT cheaper than I thought I'd pay! I felt right at home talking with them and hung out for a few laughs with them. All is all...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND T.A.G. AUTOMOTIVE!!!!!!

I Highly Recommend TAG Automotive!!! I was very, very pleased with the awesome quality of service! They know what they are doing. Bobby has 30 years of experience in the business and learned how to deliver excellent quality work and fantastic customer service from his dad, who was in the business for 40 years. Although I live in Raleigh, TAG Automotive is where I will take my car for any maintenance or repairs! Yes, I will drive all the way from Raleigh, because it is worth it!

My van had over heating issues and i needed to pull over asap which i did. Conveniently it was right at T.A.G automotive shop. A gentleman from the shop came over and helped me fix the issue temporarily so that i could be on my way. Thanks guys! I really appreciated it
