What a great experience. Had a list of things done at one time. Timing belt w/ water pump, rear hubs, plugs, coils, oil change, rear diff servicing, rear axel's, rear rotors and pads. The hard work, honesty, and communication from this crew was unmatched. Kept me up to date on progress, called if they found something that may need to be serviced now, or in the future, didn t pressure me either way. Jordan and Dakota give me faith that there are still honest shops out there. Im a customer for life after this experience. This is the gold standard, other shops should take notes.

Highly recommend!!Recently acquired my dads 2000 Chevy 1500 farm truck.The truck has had a very hard life down on the farm. It was very special to me so I wanted to get it in good running condition. Dakota s Auto Repair did a thorough diagnostics on the truck and gave me a printout of everything that would need attention on the truck along with prices. There were a lot of issues and I felt the list of needed repairs were fair and reasonable. All during the repair period, Dakota kept me informed on the progress and was very, very professional and helpful in explaining things to me.My truck is now back home, running great, driving great, doors will lock, the brakes work, the mice is gone .(yes a mouse made a home in the air filter).There were too many concerns with this truck to list, but Dakota addressed each item, and gave me back my dads truck in top running condition! It s still ugly, but it runs and handles great thanks to Dakota s Auto Repair!Thank you Dakota!!Highly Recommend!!

Have a 2007 a Honda Civic I neglected over the years. Would have cost me about $300 a year to maintain but I got lazy. I had to have an inspection done and alot of issues fixed for the inspection and safety. I have a working knowledge of cars so I understood what needed done. It ran me about $3200 but the job was done right and after checking the work that was done I am a customer for life! I also met Dakota. Very nice guy. Hope I don't have to see them again but if I do, I'll know I can depend on their knowledge and honesty. Highly recommended!

Dakota and his team have provided consistent reliable auto repair work. Our vehicle is an older model that requires a few extra steps to locate parts. Dakota has gone over and above in consistently providing great service. We trust his team and highly recommend this shop.

This was our first visit, as we recently moved to Garner and were looking for an independent shop to handle car repairs and maintenance. Dakota's got a lot of praise on a local subreddit. The entire experience was terrific. Easy to make an appointment for my 30K mile scheduled maintenance, staff was all friendly and helpful, the prices were very reasonable, and they also noticed my tires were showing more wear than I had noticed. We'll keep coming back!

Dakota has worked on both my husband's car and son's truck. He does great work, is honest and trustworthy, and very thorough. We will continue to do business with him. Definitely a hidden gem!

Late one Friday evening I was across the rode at a convenient store from Dakota's Auto Repair when I heard a clicking noise in my driver's side front tire I was pretty sure I had a nail or something in it because it looked really low (half flat). I'm a recent double amputee and have a really tuff time getting in and out of my vehicle. I called across the rode to Dakota's and explained my situation and they told come right over and they would be glad to take care of me. It's late Friday evening these guys were busy and I'm sure ready to go home but they took the time to remove the nail from my tire and plug it and make sure it was it leaking and was going to be okay so I could get home. The folks at Dakota's are really kind people I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks to everyone at Dakota's I'm sure I wouldn't have made it home without you I'll be coming back soon sincerely Mickey Pleasant

This was my first trip to Dakota's Auto Repair. I went in for an oil change. I also asked for a check of all fluid levels and a check of the air and cabin filters. The service was done quickly and no one tried to sell me anything extra. The price was fair and everyone was very friendly. I was pleased with the service I received at Dakota's Auto Repair!

It was a much appreciated experience I have ever had. I was overdue for my motor vehicle inspection which was due 12-31. They squeezed me in 1-2 and were able to correct a couple things and it made me pass. All very polite and sociable. Made me coffee. Real nice, nice. I will definitely be back

Brought in my 2006 Toyota Tacoma for timing cover oil leak. Dakota brought to my attention that the Rack and Pinion boots were also leaking and a couple of other issues that needed to be taken care of while it was taken apart. Still with all the hard work he had to do he was finished in a timely manner. Been looking a great mechanic I could trust fully and Dakota s Auto Repair has got it. Everybody I dealt with over there was very friendly and caring. Would HIGHLY recommend them to anybody else if your ever looking to take your vehicle that you can fully trust!

Had a surprise event with stuck lug nuts that BJ s would not continue my new tire service. Called Dakota who said they can handle even though it was an hour before Saturday close. Ashley and team were very pleasant and helpful. Job got done quickly. Even got a Senior discount! Though I am a first time customer, I felt like I had been doing business for years! Thanks Dakota!!!

I highly recommend Dakota's Auto Repair. Dakota was very knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and honest regarding the diagnosis of the issue I am having with my car. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else at this point, and his prices are fair. Ashley is also wonderful.

Ocotber 31, 2023 after work my car decided to act up which left me stranded. I got my car towed to Dakotas after hours. I dropped the keys off that night as well with an explanation of what was going on. Dakota called and inquired about my car issues. He got it diagnosed and within a day and a half it was fixed! Fast forward to January 5th, my car started to do the same thing again! I called Dakota a little after 4pm and told him the issues. He asked me to get the code and call him back. He worked with me and was able to let me know best course of action. Not only did he get my car fixed quickly but he offered to repatch my tire and fixed my psi levels in my cars. Dakota is fair and friendly and takes good care of his customers. I will forever go back to him with any other issues that may arise!

This place helped me in a pinch. I had what I thought was an oil leak turned out to be the transmission fluid leak. Without even an issue they squeezed me in, diagnosed the issue in an hour or less, had parts there within 10 15 minutes and fixed all within a couple hours. I didn't have an appointment so I am grateful they took time to fit me in. I'm new to the state and literally know but 2 people here. Help would've been difficult to get in such short notice. I would highly recommend if you want great customer service, and open to flexibility ( if possible) and my car is happy now. I would recommend this place to others for sure.

We have a wheelchair van and the place we bought it from went out of business. So we took it to another wheelchair van place and they were able to replicate the bottoming out problem, but they didn't want to touch it because we didn't get it from them. Took it to a Toyota Dealer, couldn't find anything. Bring it to Dakota's and they figured out real fast we had air springs and was out of air. Now I'm not so worried about taking a long trip....Thanks!!!!

BUSY IS GOOD!If these guys book you weeks away, i strongly suggest you wait. Quality is key with Dekota. I appreciate the time he takes going above and beyond to explain the issue and why its caused.I have ben taking all my vehicles with him for years now ,and will continue to due so.-Check engine light diagnostic, tire mount and balance, leveling kits, fuel pump replacement, ac recharging, heater core replacement, tps troubleshooting, drive shaft replacement, all around brakes, and Inspections to name a few of the repairs him and his team has done for me. With vehicles of all Year make and models Ford, Lexus, Chevy, VW.Just recently had my Rear Differential completely serviced on my 99 Jeep TJNew bearings and seals. Called and kept me posted along the way , gives quotes of parts and labor and waits for approval before moving forward.

I had an issue with a starter on an 07 Tundra. Dropped it off and was squeezed in to the schedule even though it was last minute. Dakota diagnosed the issue and notified me before he ordered the part, with a decent warranty, and gave me a fair price for parts and labor. He called me as soon as the starter was installed and we picked up without any issues.My wife and I have been doing business with Dakota for years after relocating from upstate NY. Not knowing the area very well he made it seem like we knew him for decades. Very friendly and personable as well. Highly recommended!!

Just had the car inspected as usual friendly, and on time. Ive been a customer for the last couple of years. I love there honesty and openness. I recommend going to Dakota's with out a doubt. I will be going back to have my brakes done .. ive had other work done through out the years very pleased.

Decided to look for a locally owned auto repair shop for routine maintenance & repairs. Called Dakota s to set up an appointment for the annual inspection to try the out and was extremely pleased to get an appointment for the next day.Excellent, friendly service. I ll be bringing ack here and not the dealer for my next oil change/ maintenance service.Update 01/05/2024This years annual inspection was just completed and had returned for all my oil changes at Dakota s in 2023. Original 5 star rating still holds. Will be scheduling the rest of my upcoming maintenance items with them this year.Services: Auto emissions testing, Vehicle safety inspection

2000 Silverado 2500, replaced manifold, seals, exhaust pipe and EGR tube. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Asked to see and understand just what the issues were. Kept me informed when the incoming parts didn't arrive on-time. Expedited service when the parts got there. Informed me of issues that arose during repairs (it's a 23 year old work truck, working on it always uncovers the next issue). Worked with me to get the last issue resolved quickly with minimal extra cost. It now runs better than it has in years. Their service is first rate.
