Gibson Lock and Key really came thru for me during an emergency. The owner was friendly, calming, communicative and worked with great urgency which made me feel as if he personally cared for my situation. This made me feel like a priority. The technician that arrived was friendly, professional, empathetic and very experienced in his craft. I HIGHLY recommend this company!!!

I slipped on a frosty porch on a 21 degree December morning, grabbed the door knob to keep myself from falling and locked myself outside. I did not have: my wallet with cash/ID; phone; or a single neighbor at home in my retirement community. A passerby phone Gibson Lock & Key. The technician, Bob, arrived in less than 15 minutes and had the unenviable task of trying to calm a very anxious, embarrassed and cold senior lady, while determining that I had the legal right to enter the residence. The gentleman could not have been more professional, patient or kind. Within minutes he assessed the situation, gotten the information he needed to feel safe to proceed with opening the lock and set to work. It turned out my lock was challenging and it took 5 different approaches to get in without the key. Despite the extra trouble to identify me as the home owner, to find the right tool to open a forty year old lock, the price was exactly what was quoted on the phone. I could not be more grateful or pleased with their service - recommend them highly!

We were out of town camping at standing Indian camp ground and Our truck locked with 2 of our boys in the back in their car seats, luckily it was running with the AC on. Gibson Lock & Key came in less than 7 minutes from the time we called. He was friendly, very fast, and was very careful not to scratch our truck or damage anything. He checked our license for the child s safety. We drive a 2015 Duramax truck and he had it unlocked within 5 minutes. He did an awesome job.

Excellent customer service and price. Both Matt and Jeff were very helpful and Jeff got all the jobs done on record time in my opinion. Nothing but good to say about their services and will likely use them again when the need arise.

Well, after a seven hour ride to Sylva NC to ride motorcycles on Friday, which included a flat tire on the trailer I discovered I somehow lost my bike key. I called every lock smith around us and got zero help. One of the bigger shops in Waynesville answered the phone but told me straight up he was busy for the day and wasn t gonna work on Saturday. I pleaded my case to no avail. We stared calling around on Saturday morning with no luck. I called a company in Franklin and the lady said she could not help but to call Gibson Lock and Key. She said she knew he was not working Saturday but to leave him a message. I did leave a messages and they called me right back. I explained my situation and he told me to head to their shop and they would take care of it. I went straight there and a super great guy was there waiting for us! I m pretty sure his name was Bob .It was obvious the store was closed but they came for us. He got my key made and was super helpful and was a very cool guy. We had to return home today, Sunday. These guys saved a months planned weekend with friends to ride our bikes in the mountains. I drove 7 hours to get there and had a bike on a trailer with no key and NOBODY wanted to help me. I will never forget the kindness and efforts of these guys to save our trip from being a complete failure! It s so great to still find great people doing great things! If you need help with anything like me .. this is your go to place.. period. I can never thank them enough as they were our last call before we gave up and just came back home. Jeff came out. Made me two new keys and a keyless entry for our 2022 Gmc. Long story all the original keys were lost. Came out quickly and got everything done. Wonderful job.

My son's two toddlers were sleeping in their car seats. They were locked in their truck when their older brother accidentally hit the lock button when he and his parents got out to get something out of the back of the truck. It was very hot outside but the truck was running with the AC on. We were from out of town. We looked up locksmiths on the internet. My son called Gibson Lock & Key and they came immediately and got it open right away. Then he told my son that he did not charge to open locked vehicles when children were inside. He urged my son to get a spare key made and said that they made them at the office. My son went by there afterward to have an extra key made. We were so grateful to this kind man and what he did. It is rare to find that kind of attitude and service anymore. We can't say enough good things about our experience with this company. Thank you and God bless you.

Me and my family were out of town here around Franklin camping and my Oldest son accidentally locked the truck while it was running with 2 of my other kids locked inside Jeff the owner got there in about 5 minutes and also got the truck unlocked in less than 5 minutes he was very quick and careful to not scratch my truck best locksmith I've ever seen. I would recommend to anyone I seen to go through these guys.

Nice employees, however I was there for over an hour while they tried 3 different computers to program a fob for my car only to find out the car needs aftermarket Keyless entry. Do research before you go,or you will waste time. Also, they took 2 people in between trying to work on my car.

I needed a key fob programmed shortly before Christmas. Matt programmed the key at significantly less cost than the dealership, plus I did not have to wait three weeks. He was also able to retrieve the code for the numeric keypad, something a dealership in another state said would cost hundreds of dollars. Matt was courteous, professional and quick, excellent job. Thank you!!

I was already running late getting to my office and when I turned the key it snapped right off in the lock! I panicked then collected my self and called Gibson Lock & Key. Matt was super understanding and he sent Bob over right away. Bob was at my office in less than 10 minutes and he quickly showed off his skills. Bob was courteous and professional and he had me back up and open in less that 10 minutes. I highly recommend Gibson & Lock and Key! Matt and Bob are Pros!

I had surgery and had 45 metal staples holding my belly together. 2 days later went to store and some how lost my only key while shopping. Could bend over or lift anything over 2lbs. Call him and he was there and had car unlocked a key made and down the Rd in less 30 mins.

These guys were fantastic when it came to helping me troubleshoot and ultimately replace a euro style lock on one of our entry doors. Could've charged me a couple hundred bucks for a truck roll, but the expert assistance given was enough to help me remove the lock myself, saving me time and money! Thanks for the lock, it works great!

So far, they've rekeyed our house, duplicated car keys with the anti-lock chip, and installed a safe we bought from them. Fair prices and professional work. I'd recommend them without hesitation. They are very popular, you might have to be flexible if you need something fast.

Everyone in town suggested Gibson and they were right! Very personable and talked through my options. I was looking to have some new key fobs programmed glad I had the old one with me. Matt looked at it and got it working again! Thank you

This firm changed all of my house locks for me several years ago and did a terrific job. Over the years several of my French door handles and locks no longer worked properly. I thought I'd have to buy all new hardware! Jeff was very obliging on my schedule, and did a very thorough job of both assessing the issues and correcting them. Out of 6 French doors, he only had to order a part for one, saving me thousands of dollars. I can't sing their praises high enough!

They went out of their way to make me a new key for my subaru in the parking lot of lazy hiker. There were some difficulties, including it taking until after they were closed. But it was a great service and got me out of a stressfull situation for a reasonable price.

I would recommend Gibson Lock and Key. I had excellent service. They had my key in stock for my Ford Fusion. They were able to cut and program it in less than 30 min. They beat the dealer price by over $100 for the same OE key! I'm impressed. Who said you couldn't have it all, better, faster, and cheaper! Thanks guys, I will return.

I have a small camping trailer and somehow the deadbolt lock engaged itself (unknown whether it was due to road vibration, or if someone tried to break into it). I took the assembly to Gibson Lock and Key in Franklin, where Matt looked at the lock for me. It was acting like there was something jammed into the keyway. Matt worked on this for me, and was able to free up the mechanical parts within the lock (no evidence of damage, thankfully), and got it working again. Charge to do this was extremely reasonable (compared to the price of a new assembly).I most highly recommend Gibson Lock and Key for their expertise and knowledge, and quick turnaround in getting this fixed. Matt is a very pleasant individual, outgoing and friendly, and an expert in his field. The office is well equipped to handle most, if not all, issues, and they do travel to do their work. You won't be disappointed! Thank you Gibson Lock and Key!

I was locked out of my Toyota Camry while on vacation in Franklin North Carolina. I was panicking and didn't know what to do, when a local told me to give Gibson Locksmith a call.Jeff quickly showed up and got into my car instantly. He was really friendly and knowledgeable and even had the ability to make me a spare key on the spot. I was worried that such fast service was going to cost an arm and a leg, but I was surprised at how good the prices really were.When I thought one of my vacation days was going to be lost, Gibson came through and I was able to get back to enjoying myself

Matt is an absolute live saver! I broke the only key to my car in half and he was able to make a copy that worked perfectly first try! Of course I had to get some spares while I was there too.
