What a great team here, the breakfast is all kind of heat and eat, but it still absolutely outstanding. Service was magnificent. The people were kind and courteous. What a great place to stay and the price is so right thank you team we really appreciate you.Safety: Cameras everywhere, and the staff knows how to use them. This is a warning to any of you undesirables. This is not the hotel to commit crimes. You will go to jail. And you will face harsh sentencing because they will have all the evidence they need.Walkability: So many many things so close byNoteworthy details: The locals here are very friendly and easy to get along with. I look forward to coming back.

This motel is inconveniently located 1.5 miles off 74. We made reservations knowing we would not check in until about 10 pm. I waited for someone to come to the check-in desk, then he told me to step to the side, use the machine, then he closed the blind to the ck-in window! I spoke with someone else via the machine, like in the Wizard of Oz. It was a very cold welcoming for a room that was $123/ night. The pillows were like a stack of bricks, the tub did not drain, the paint under the sink was not finished, the toilet wobbled as you sat on it and then, the hot breakfast was a joke this morning. There were 2 mini muffins, pop tarts, granola bars, yogurt ((not in a refrigerator), cereal and a waffle machine that I did not attempt. The juice machine was out of order. We left as soon as possible. I am definitely not a hotel snob, but I do appreciate kind service, reasonable comfort and cleanliness. Sadly, we did not experience any of these at this location.Noteworthy details: If you stay, I hope your visit is more pleasant than ours.

Good service and clean rooms. Saw a few shady people out late hanging around the building every night I was there but i think its just the area in general. Besides thats there were no issues. Great lighting and cameras everywhere so I wasn't worried about it so much.Rooms: Clean rooms/bathroomsSafety: Lots of lighting outside. Cameras at the main entrance.

A year ago I wrote a scathing review of this hotel. But one year later, I'm updating my review to give much higher rankings - for several reasons. 1) The rooms have been updated. All new floors, new sinks and vanities, updated paint, new chairs. 2) While I stay on the first floor, they have replaced the stairs on both ends of the hotel, replaced the trash storage area, and done some painting. 3) I have developed a good relationship with the "boys in the kiosk" - and they have improved their service. 4) Most of all - I truly appreciate the owner and incredibly hard working staff. From the front desk, to maintenance to housekeeping and laundry - these are amazing people - always willing to help, and incredibly polite and courteous. That's how they treat all customers - I've stayed here a lot and witnessed it. I know they're continuing to make improvements - but the place is 1000% better than when I first stayed here a year ago.

Rooms are fairly clean, with clean towels daily. The downside to this hotel is their breakfast time which begins at 7:45 a.m. Most of the guests that stay in this hotel are on business trips and would love to have a cup of coffee before heading out usually between 6 a.m and 7 a.m. Whoever made the decision for that breakfast start time either doesn't want their guest to have an early start or they are trying to be cheap by providing breakfast at a time where most of the guests are already gone.

Nice clean, beds harder then I like but still comfy. No smoking rooms but cigarette disposable unit available outside every floorFood & drinks: Small continental breakfast, waffle maker, coffee available, fruit bars , cereal n milk, apple juice, sausage biscuits, yogurt

This place is getting so much better! We ve stayed here off and on for years since it s close to our families homes.Finally, they have people at the front desk again instead of just a kiosk in the lobby. They ve also brought back a somewhat real breakfast instead of the to-go bags. The pool was clean. The ancient carpet in the rooms was replaced by hard flooring. The sinks were upgraded and the restroom doors replaced. So far, it s been quiet.Everything but the microwave turntable was working. Apparently, they accept pets for a nightly charge. The downside to that was that pet owners had allowed them to potty on the walkways in a couple of places.

I ve stayed here for the last week and feel as if I can provide a truthful answer as to how terrible this hotel is. The room will leave your feet black with filth, showers flood with water as they do not drain, a horrible odor of smoke and who knows what else exists in all the rooms I stayed in (3), and ABOVE ALL, the owner walked into my room while I left to get dinner, removed my belongings, bagged them and put it outside. In the breezeway for me to find upon my return an hour later. I have roughly 1500$ in personal belongings that are missing and 3 one hundred dollar bills I left in a carry bag is also gone. Truthfully this place is crooked and will find any way they can to get over on you. I look forward to this business being shut down. See you in court pal

My Wife and I are here for my Daughter's Wedding The Room is Nice the bed's are hard along with the pillows.the breakfast definitely ain't hitting on much Would I stay here again Maybe but if I find something better then no.Noteworthy details: This place could definitely do better.

Had to be switched to another room because of smoke, the next room smelled like smoke. No staff, we were greeted by a kiosk machine. Was able to get my deposit back immediately if paying cash.Rooms: Smelled like smoke

Rooms smelled like cigarette smoke and literal feces. Not clean. Outside of building is falling apart. $100 charge just to check-in, which they said would be refunded.I cancelled the room and was told the amount for the night + the $100 charge would be refunded. They have now both been charged to my card.Disgusting place run by unintelligent morons. Stay far, far away from this place.

I've stayed in more hotels/motels than I can remember and this is hands-down the worst experience I've ever had. When we arrived, there was some kind of hair on the sheets, either dog or human, not sure. Then we find out about the $100 deposit and upfront charges. In my entire life I've never had a hotel charge a card for payment upfront, let alone a deposit. This was a huge red flag and we should have left immediately. There were roaches in the room and the carpet looked like it was 50 years old. This place is not worth half the price they're charging for stay. Barely one day into the stay the hotel lost water due to frozen pipes. The frozen pipes isn't their fault, but how they respond to issues like this most certainly is. The problem is that the hotel staff abandoned the guests. No offer to help. No offer to bring bottled water. No offer for a referral to other hotels (which we found out that some hotels in the area were doing all of these things). They just ghosted us and left the guests in the hands of the automated kiosk, which was utterly useless. We couldn't even flush the toilets! When we finally left we were offered a 40% refund, but a week later when it finally came, the refund only showed about 25% refund. No use in calling to ask about it, I know they probably don't care.

The places reaks of marijuana. The rooms all smell damp and its a hit or miss whether stuff works in there or not. The fitness center is closed because its storage and the breakfast buffet was empty all 3 days I stayed here except for some poptarts. Did not feel safe at all theres intoxicated people walking around here at all hours.Food & drinks: The buffet is not restocked regularly.

This is by far the Best Baymont I've ever stayed in, everything from the staff to the cleanliness of the rooms to the check in experience were just as good as it gets. Truly! For some reason after I called and spoke to Rauul I really was just impressed all around by the customer service and attention to detail at this hotel. The pool was also clean and well kept. Instead of a normal check in process they have a virtual check in which I would think would be kinda annoying but their check in was actually easy

The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable, we did not feel safe at this hotel. So much so that we left early. The was obvious drug use at the hotel and it appeared people we living at the hotel. Front desk personnel is only there during the day and left at 5 pm. If you had an issue you had to speak to someone off site through a kiosk.

At arrival after checking in with a kiosk, we were given a room that was apparently a storage room. Multiple beds and furniture stored in the room. So then after getting another room and talking to a real person our room was very hot and never cooled off. While taking the kids to pool there was a small bag of what looked to be marijuana laying by the pool. Which my kids could have easily gotten. There was people yelling in parking lot. There was some kind of brownish red stuff smeared on the bathroom door. The bath tub drained very slow. There was horrible stains in carpet. Just a horrible place and atmosphere especially for kids. We checked out 3 hours after checking in and they refused to refund stay. Would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

Close to a lot of restaurants.Check in was done with someone on a computer screen, not in person.They put an extra $100 on my credit card for potential damage...... that's why I posted this early (shortly after checking in) because there are some issues with the condition of the room - but it was that way when we checked in. I should get the $100 refunded within 7-10 days.Rooms: Floor was dirty.One lamp missing a light bulb.Toilet seat very loose.Room (non-smoking) smelled like it has been smoked in in the past.

The hotel was very dirty. They need to hire a new cleaning crew. Dirty carpets, doors and walls. Thank God there were no bugs. Newly renovated signs in the office but that was definitely false advertising. I stayed in 2018 when the hotel was new. I stayed again in March 2021 totally different experience! Will not be going back or recommending this Forest City location!

The hotel is in a great location and the staff are nice. However the rooms bed linens were dirty, stained and soiled. Front desk advise they didn't have any one available for housekeeping (about 4 pm EST). The rooms are suppose to be smoke free, but smell like stale cigarettes. The sink had mold under it. The upholstery chair was stained and dirty. There were no amenities as described on website. We stayed (June 25-27, 2021) the pool had no water.

The hotel room was very clean but there were just a couple constissue paper stuff in the peephole.burn mark in the comforter( i feel like these were related and maybe from the previous guest. )There was another guest at the hotel that hung around outside all day and mumbled at us whenever we went by. At one point she knocked on our door and stood there for 10 minutes till she got the hint that we weren't gonna answer the door. Kinda creepy. Definitely on drug.The shower water never got hot, just kinda lukewarm.Super friendly staff though!All the cons are kinda humorous to me which is why I didn't give a lower rating. I would probably stay again.

Location was great! The room did have some roaches and stink bugs. Shower was great but water was really slow draining. Fridge was really cold.Did not like having to pay $100 security deposit at check In.Rooms: Needs exterminator but other than that room was great. Needs iceMachine on second floorNearby activities: Walmart behind hotel, plenty of places to eatSafety: Seemed really safe. No one hanging around outside like at some places.Noteworthy details: Hotel it's self was quiet, alot of noise from the road.

Staff was nice and friendly. Room was well not up to par. When I first walked in I stepped in a puddle from the fridge leaking. Had to use the restroom and notices black mold everywhere! Ceiling had many issues were water was definitely leaking from somewhere. Bed was comfy but people next door, well you could hear their conversations and were loud!

We reserved for a one-night stay after a wedding reception that we felt rather than driving 3 hours back to Chapel Hill, we would stay overnight in a nearby hotel. When we checked in around 1030pm, there was no checking desk in the lobby. We had to check in through a hole in a window. We realized why as we see strange people milling around. The place reeks with the smell of urine. When we checked into the room, the room was definitely not a two star hotel. Worse the bed was not made up and the room was not cleaned. When we got back to the front, the receptionist was indifferent to our complaint and said we could just leave and she would issue us a refund. A month later, the money was still not refunded. I had to call again to get a refund today. When I tried to explain my experience to the person on the call, even though he eventually refunded the money, he was defensive and not interested in my feedback. He did not apologize and did not even try to mend the relationship. I would strongly advise anyone who is making the reservation based on the star ratings and photos to stay away from this place!
