Go to place to get my cars maintained. Very reasonable prices and knowledgeable staff that does a great job communicating. Read: they don t try to shove random unneeded fixes onto your car, which I personally appreciate.Came in last few times and was told to anticipate getting my brake pads replaced soon. I appreciated that they explained that in advance, didn t force me to get them replaced immediately, and gave me a thorough explanation of what they re looking for when they re replacing parts.A plus? Nice like work space with free sodas and coffee, so you don t always have to ask for a friend to pick you up. WeWork who?

Phenomenal mechanic shop. Every mechanic is very nice and genuine; these guys are as honest and down to earth as they come. I ve been to a lot of different auto shops and mechanics; never have I been to a location that felt more genuine in providing honest and quality service.Had a great experience here getting a car serviced. Pete, the mechanic on our car, was great and very nice. This place gained customers for life.

I used to take my car and my wife s car here won t be back after what we just went through with her 2011 Corolla. They had replaced the spark plugs back in June of 2023 fast forward to Sept 2023 he car started shuddering when accelerating which when we took it to them found out it had two bad coils on two of the spark plugs. So much for them ordering good parts or standing behind their work we wound up with $477 worth of additional repair costs and the realization that we need to find a better mechanic. Especially since the lady at the shop mentioned how odd it was she had seen several different cars come in with the same problem despite different milages on each . So yeah Wasp Auto use to have a rep but they re dead to me and my family now. Anyone taking your car there seek a second opinion at least or just go elsewhere save yourself from a possible scam or crummy job with bad parts.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Though they don't use any computerized system which can fed service records to carfax, schedule an appointment, they are highly skilled for Japanese made cars, reliable and affordable. They never try to loot their customer and performs genuin servicing required for car.

After a really bad experience at a local branded service on my 2001 Honda Accord, I asked a colleague for recommendation for a Honda servicing garage, he gave me WASP Automotive, that was some 15 years ago and I have been using their service ever since and on both my Honda vehicles.Galen is the mechanic I have worked with for those years, he is very honest, friendly and responsive. Usually mechanic tries to ask you to fix things often considered optional, Galen however always explains in details what absolutely needs to be fixed and what you can wait to get more miles out. In his own words, he wants to treat his customers beyond a transactional one. On several occasions, he even offered me tips and advice for DIY, troubleshooting and fixing small issue myself. If you are lucky to have his number, he even responds to my sms on vehicle issues outside of work. This is definitely not something you would expect from other garage or branded dealer/service centers.

I bought my Toyota's specifically to have these guys as our mechanics. They're great, honest and specialized to the Japanese brand they're working on. I'll use them as long as they're in business.

In my entire life I have never seen a auto repair shop who advises the customer in a conservative way what is absolutely needed. Even if you say you want to do extra they will recommend against it. They are different. I will definitely recommend everyone give them a try.

I was in a rush and needed to replace my car battery quickly. The mechanic with the pony (didn t get his name) stopped his lunch break and swapped out my battery. Thank you.

I've been going here at least 8 years now. Always a great experience. I needed them to help me isolate a clunking noise in my '04 Honda Accord. I called to see if someone could do a test drive with me and set up a time to test drive with Pete after 5pm. I was able to readily duplicate the clunking noise while Pete was in the car. I thought he'd tell me to make a "standard" appointment and he'd take a look at it in more detail at that time. Nope. After the test drive, he had me drive around back and he proceeded to put the car up on the lift and did a visual inspection and pushed and pulled on the sway bar links in the rear (which is where the noise seemed to be coming from).Although he couldn't isolate the problem right then, the fact that he took time to have a quick look at it says everything. He told me it didn't sound like the struts and to bring it back when the noise gets more frequent. He told me it didn't sound like anything to be immediately concerned with, which was a relief.########UPDATE########After looking into this further, I found that the sound was coming from in front, not the back. When I pulled off the front passenger tire to look around, I noticed a bushing on the lower control arm was very worn out with multiple cracks/tears in it. I brought it to a shop closer to us (Konrad Automotive - another reputable mechanic) and had them do the work this time. Ended up replacing the lower control arms and the lower ball joints (since that area of the suspension was already torn apart and the car had 252,000 miles on it). No more clunking!Service: Steering & suspension repair

As many of you know, going to a new mechanic can come with some reservations regarding if they will try to overcharge, sell you things you didn t need, etc. I can say unequivocally that Wasp Automotive is the best in the area, is honest, is fair, and are truly skilled professionals. Today was my first time going. I had no idea what was wrong with my car and I know next to nothing about automotive repair. They scheduled me in so quickly, introduced me to the crew members who are incredibly kind people, and were able to diagnose my issue in record time. I m so happy to have found a place that I feel I can trust. I highly recommend Wasp Automotive they don t have hundreds of 5 star reviews for nothing!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I've been using this shop for 15+ years. Absolutely won't take my cars elsewhere for anything beyond an oil change. These guys are total professionals. They are honest and thorough. I will only purchase vehicles this place services: Honda, Toyota, Subaru or Mazda. Their mechanics have been there for years, which only increases my confidence in their work and their integrity both toward the customer and their employees.

Great trustworthy customer service! I took my 5 year old car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. The technician called to notify me that I had an oil leak deep within the engine and he recommended I service the leak at the dealership because I was within the manufacturer's warranty (by 200 miles). All this ended up being true and saved me on a ~$1000 repair! I highly recommend Wasp auto and will go out of my way to ensure they continue to service my vehicles.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

This is a fantastic shop! The mechanics do impeccable work, diagnose problems correctly, and charge a fair price. They found problems on our Toyota that another higher-priced shop had missed. The mechanics and the office staff really know their stuff. We will never go anywhere else again. Thank you, Wasp Automotive!

This is a great auto shop. They are trustworthy and do great work. I ve used them for a year or so now. They are easy to schedule with and you can drop your car off easily. I definitely recommend.

Not a car person. My car broke down while I was driving it and had it towed to Wasp by AAA. Wasp customer service was super nice, texted me when my car was ready, had afterhours drop-off/pick-up setup. Got my car fixed up quickly. I'd take my car here again.

This was my first time using this shop. I had a very long wait for my oil change 1.5hrs. They did come explain why they were backed up. Which I understand, annoying but no big deal. However today I noticed a piece of cloth sticking out from under my hood and a rag had been left behind. I m glad I found it before it potentially caused any problems. I have been driving around for 2 days with it in there. This makes me worry it was a rushed job due to the delayed start. I m a little concerned about the quality of the work done.Service: Oil change

Called them with no prior appointment and explained that brakes had an issue. Asked me to come in for a brake checkup, I was there within 30 minutes, checkup was done in about 20 minutes, check up included a test drive and putting the car on a lift. All four brakes were inspected. Pete was very detail oriented and professional. Pete explained to me that given the age of the brakes they are still under warranty and that the car was safe to drive. Pete advised me that I should take the car to the original brakes installer for a warranty fix. Very honest, Pete didn't even charge me for his time and service. I came in for steering noise for which other repair shop had asked us to replace pump and rack. Galen did his magic and the noise stopped...no charge. WASP Automotive could have easily charged me 2k or more but they were honest and took time to explain too. Hats off to WASP!!!

I came here for my inspection this year and at first it didn't pass due to my window tint being too dark. Instead of charging me for the inspection (even though it automatically failed) they just told me I needed to get that fixed before it could pass. So, I went and did that and then came back and the inspection went smoothly.

Called them in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in that afternoon to fix a tire balance issue that had been done badly multiple times by another shop. Careful, professional, excellent work that totally solved the problem, and at a very reasonable price. Can't ask for more. Highly recommended.Service: TiresService: Tires

I have been taking my 2012 Accord and 2015 Hybrid to Wasp for years. The mechanics are excellent and knowledgeable. I get my inspections and car serviced/maintenance done at Wasp. Waiting area has been freshly painted, good WiFi, new couches which are very comfy. Good Shop!!! Beautiful flowers in the summer time I sit outside while I wait for my car to be ready.

I've been here a few times for minor repairs and concerns with my Honda. My S/O always came here when he had his old Accord. The staff are always extremely nice. They are also knowledgeable and provide me with more than enough information to make decisions on repairs. They're honest and will let you know if a procedure should be done right away or if it's optional. I will continue to bring my car here for service.

I had a great experience with Wasp Automotive. I was able to call the day before and get an appointment the next day to have work done on my brakes. They provide a shuttle to locations in RTP and Durham, so I was able to spend my day at home while my car was being serviced. They were communicative and honest. Everything feels right with my car again. I am so happy to find an auto shop I can trust in Durham!
