The staff is great and I never worry about the quality of parts or work. They tell you exactly what your options are and work within your budgetAgain.. With an appointment , I drive 330 miles round trip to get my van worked on. I count on it to get me to the jobs I DJ; it is my only vehicle and my work vehicle. They did an incredible job AND While there I notice the way Roland handles customers he clarifies the need for an appointment to people AND there is no mystery. Please disregard any negative reviews-this place is worth the wait if you live in the real world. Not a Jiffy fix kind of business.

My experience with this place was horrible. I came to this place plenty of times but the last few times were horrible. Every time I left the shop, my car wasn t fixed. Roland would tell me to bring it back just to give him more money and my car still wouldn t be fixed. The last time he kept my car probably 6 months while he kept telling me that he was trying to find out the issue with it. I was naive and I trusted him so I went along with it. One day I went up there to check on my car and it had been crashed. The windshield was falling into the car and the front and side of my car was dented in very badly. He said he didn t know what happened to it. (Obviously someone was just having a good ole time driving it and got into an accident and he was afraid to tell me). He said he would get it fixed (I was still waiting on him to fix my car for the reason it was there in the first place). I checked on my car every week and the accident damage was finally fixed about 2 months later. ( It didn t look as good as it did before he got in the accident but it was fine). I still trusted this man. One day I spoke to the nice lady in the front and she told me that she needed to be honest and that Roland had been lying to me. She told me that he never even attempted to diagnose my car. Finally Roland told me it was my engine, which he ruined himself by driving it and doing whatever he did with it for all those months. My car was in much worse condition than it was when I dropped it off. I should have sued this man but I learned my lesson. I will never return to him again and I will not ever recommend anyone to come here. I lost so much time and money trusting in him. He comes off as a nice stand up guy but he s not. Well first let me tell you I worried the pure T hell out of these guys. I took my car there to be painted and I had a candy color in mind, not knowing how much candy paint cost. I just knew shiney bright but my pockets are not that deep. I had to pick out another color. I went up there day by day looking at chips, changing my mind each time and it got to the point where I got on my own nerves!! But they were nice and did not roll their eyes upon seeing me return. I had to have some minor body work done and after I made my last change of color they got to painting. I settled on a color close to the original color. There were too many choices and i didn't want to regret my choice. Well they...uhhhh...not they....i mean the body and paint man ...John got to working. When I picked up my car it was painted to factory specs, AND they surprised me by having the inside cleaned out too. This is no Maaco paint job so if you check them out don't expect poor Maaco quality its much better nor their prices..you get what you pay for....my paint had no swirl marks (typical in Maaco paint jobs) they even cleaned the inside of my car out!! When I left they said come back anytime. Lol. I knew I had to give them a good review.

They had my truck a full week and I didn t receive a single call about it. I had to drive over there to enquire because no one would ever answer the phone. Then call again 4 days later 6 times in a row to get someone to answer, and after all that they told me that I d have to drive to charlotte to get the part. I called the place with the part and arranged to have it shipped to them. Then when I called back to let them know, Roland s wife was offended that I was understandably annoyed at the level of service they were providing and they told me to take my truck elsewhere. I guess unless you are Amazon, who s trucks their yard is full of, they don t seem to care about what kind of service they provide. I recommend Payne s for older vehicles instead. Sorry to air this experience in public Roland, I ve known you for years, and have been happy with your work up to now, but the service your team provided this time was awful and now I m a full week without my truck and I have another headache to have it towed a second time since you re unwilling to take responsibility for my very reasonable annoyance that your service has been terrible and caused me a huge headache.I m sure you don t care, but I ll be using another garage from now on. It s too bad that a garage that used to serve locals now only seems to care about Amazon vehicles.

This place was everything professional and very helpful while being polite at the same time all in a timely manner. Roland and crew was able to repair my vehicle in record time all while providing a beyond fair and reasonable price. Being that I was broke down and new to the area, Roland was able to get me a tow 20 miles away. I explained the problem and thought I needed a new clutch installed. They quickly spotted the real problem which was the transmission was no good. They found a high quality rebuilt transmission for a fair good price and had it installed in record time. My truck was back on the road in less than 48hrs. Job was professionally done by his crew. I couldn't be more happier. Planning on going back for more of that good honest work done. I definitely highly recommend.!

Their rates are reasonable and their work is dependable and consistently done well. I love how my car drives after a visit to Roland's. No worries about overcharging or getting "sold" what I don't need. Love that this is a family owned and operated business with a personal touch that makes the whole experience comfortable and even enjoyable. It took me a long time to find Roland's. I can breathe a sigh of relief.

Amazing service! Had my car towed to his shop after having an issue and quoted $4600 to fix it. Roland and his team looked at my car and after driving it found that it only needed new spark plugs and a belt. What a relief to me knowing that's all my car needed and not a new engine as being told by another company. It's always refreshing knowing that they take the extra time to make sure they fix the right thing!!

I went to Roland's to have the engine replaced in my SUV. Roland quoted a very fair price along with what I thought to be an aggressive turnaround time of just 2 days. To my very pleasant surprise I got a call from Roland's on day 2 saying that my SUV was ready to be picked up. I showed up at Roland's and found my vehicle in excellent condition after the repair. I have had work done at other shops only to find the engine compartment and sometimes the interior of the car greasy or dirty. I could find no evidence of grease, oil, etc... I am extremely satisfied with their workmanship. The shop is family owned and the staff is very courteous, accommodating, and above all very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them.

Best kept secret in the Triangle area! I don't have to worry about being sold services I don't need. My car is 14 years old and in excellent condition because of the exceptional service I receive from Rolands. I described what was going on with my car and he correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone. The shop also does awesome body repairs. Very pleased!

Roland's Auto Center deserve more than five stars - maybe even 100 stars! Roland, his wife Stacy (who runs the office), and crew are very knowledgeable and, even more importantly, HONEST! Roland quotes the best repair prices in Durham - you won't find anywhere cheaper - and the work is done with a wonderful sense of pride. As a woman, I have been taken many times by people trying to sell me things that I don't need. You will NEVER have that problem at Roland's. I highly recommend Roland's Auto Center!

My friend told me about Roland's when I hit a deer, so I went there for a quote. What can I say, they did perfect work and have grate customer service; plus they provided me a loner car while they did there thing. Better then other shops I have been to, so now I am going to recommend Roland's to any one who needs good work done on their car for a grate price.

Read entirely: Owning a logistics company requires us to put hundreds of cargo vans on road daily and inevitably they are involved in accidents and also need to undergo general maintenance. We are contracted to provide delivery services for one of the biggest companies in the world (Amazon). We have to ensure that the vans are repaired properly to meet their aesthetic standards but want to minimize costs so we can maximize our profits. To give an example: Our vans are 9.5 feet tall. We had a driver that clipped a parking deck entrance that required repair. After shopping around for 3 days getting quotes at every body shop in Raleigh/Durham the cheapest quote I could find was $2600. Roland repaired it for $800! Now initially I was concerned about the quality of work, but after the final product was shown to me I couldn't have been happier. This man is fair and honest and will not be beaten. Also, he has the coolest shop dog, too! We love Bo! Every time I visit Rolands, I make sure to bring Bo a cheeseburger from Mcdonalds! Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Roland has been my go to mechanic for over 10 years for all my automotive needs, even before he opened his own shop. I have sent my Mom, Dad, and numerous family members to Roland's over the years. WE ALL STILL USE HIS SERVICES. Roland provides great service at a great price. If you have any doubts, ride by and look at the parking lot that's always full of repeat customers.

I happened to lock my keys in my trunk at a gas station. It was night and not a lot of places were open to call for help. Many people tried to help me with no luck. The owner of Roland Auto Center just happened to be at the gas station at that time. He drove all the way to his house and back to get tools to help me. He not only showed neighborly kindness, but demonstrated incredible competency with my vehicle. I was very impressed with his knowledge and service. I tried to pay him for his time and service, but he would not accept payment saying it was just the neighborly thing to do to help. Thank you Roland Auto Center for helping me out in my time of need. I would recommend his services to anyone. They are the real deal.

I moved to North Carolina from Florida and my classic car died shortly after.Roland's was close to me and they were nice and friendly and were able to take my car in, diagnose the problem and put in a new alternator.The car runs great again and many thanks to the honest and upfront group there.Thank you!Sincerely,John

Awesome experience here! I was given estimates of $700-$1,500 for a crunched in bumper elsewhere-- everyone told me that I needed to have the whole thing replaced. Roland's was able to pop it out and reattach it for $100!!! It looks as good as new. Highly recommend these guys for their honest pricing and quality work! Oh, and they were able to do it in an hour for me so that I didn't have to worry about a rental car. I will be back. Best auto repair center in the raleigh-durham area, hands-down.

I took my 2000 Ford Ranger to have my transmission rebuilt by Roland's guys and I cant tell you how satisfied I was with their service. Roland was very courteous and knowledgeable about everything. I couldn't ask for a better experience at an independent shop like Roland's Auto Center. I will be taking my vehicles to be worked on, to his shop from now on.

These people are incredible.. I ve just moved here from California and was worried I d have a hard time to find reliable people to do any work on my cars.. these people are fast.. great with price.. and very Nice!! Thanks Roland and Jason for everything!

Best service ever. Took my car in for repair and oil change. Guys were super friendly. Had a problem with one of my wheels. They took time to show me the problem and why it needed to be fixed. Concerned for the safety of their customers! Recommend to anyone. Guys you can trust!!

Brought our car up here for simple alignment was told that we needed new parts (not sure what they were, my husband did the talking). Was charged $25 of the half, of the alignment special.(This was our first visit) They said they could fix it for $300, not knowing my husband is a mechanic as well, replaced the part. Brought it back again, told him the exact same part needed to be replaced again for $300. My husband told them this part was just replaced, the same part that we were told about last time. The guy then said well it was put on wrong, it was a matter of 2 bolts, highly unlikely sir. However, I do think you're an dishonest mechanic.This is how your $50 special easily turns into over $100. **Wow, the power of the pen. Guess they didn't know I was educated enough to know how to write a review. Just received a call from the company asking me to remove my post. No, I will not. Let the truth be known. I will clarify that the $25 charge was for our first visit. Today it didn't matter what you wanted to charge, you would not have gotten paid again for the same services. We will not be part of your scam. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! #justbehonest

He will never sell you something you dont need the shop owners and the workers are honest. Loyal. And dependable. I have not taken my car anyplace in the 9 years I've known Rolands Auto Center.

Best mechanic I've ever been to. Honest service. Never over charged or been swindled into having work we didn't need. My 13 year old van runs like new everytime we leave there.Wife runs the front reception area and is personable & polite. Have sent friends there that were overjoyed with this mechanic and not being overcharged.Wife also recently remodeled the waiting area with a retro automotive theme that is fantastic and makes the mundane task of waiting on your vehicle enjoyable. She'll even give you the remote to have at the t.v while you wait.Clean bathroom, competent reliable mechanic, and wonderful customer service. What more could you ask for?

Roland has been taking care of my 1998 Honda Civic for over a decade. Has worked on my sister's, mom's and brother^s cars as well. Can't/Won't recommend anyone else to fix my vehicles.

I took my car here on the recommendation of a friend. I just needed brake pads put on, which I had already purchased. They told me my rotors were damaged and had to be replaced, to the tune of $300. Since I highly doubted this, I took it to my regular shop, where I was told my rotors were fine and far from needing replacement, and they would happily put on my brake pads.

I wish I can give us more than five stars. Not only are the people super friendly, the people are very knowledgeable and very HONEST! I ve been to plenty of places for just an oil and filter change and walk out with a $3000 bill. Never have I been missed lead or try to sell me something I don t need. Highly recommended
