Charged me for diagnostic. Told me the reason why my car wasn't starting because of feul pump assembly was needed.Scammed me out of $900 for a fuel pump replacement. Paid the money and the very next day will not start again and they refused to fix my truck unless I gave them $450 more. Do not waste your time and money with these con artist. Craig lied straight to my face and they are not doing diagnostic correctly and make it seem like it's the customer fault knowing they are not doing there job in telling customer what's wrong with vehicle the first time. Scam Artists and I would not recommend going there for any type of repairs.

Craig, and the guys at Massey Brothers Automotive were so wonderful to me! I was in a pickle needing an inspection in order to renew my registration. Long story short, these guys took me last minute, were much more knowledgeable than the chain I previously went to and were extremely friendly. Thank you for taking me in last minute and turning my terrible day into a good day. I will be back!!

Honest, honorable, knowledgeable, wise, and reliable. I would trust these guys with any vehicle issue, as well as my money, safety and well-being. As a professional, I know that you cannot please everyone, especially those who think they know better than you and assume that you are doing them wrong if they disagree or don't understand your professional opinion. Massey has earned my trust on several occasions over twenty-some years. This is the most respectful and well run car shop I have ever been to. Craig and whole the staff is always kind and fast with oil changes. My inspections have always gone smoothly. I have gone here for 3 years since I moved here and couldn t be happier with their service and prices.

Brought it in for a vibration in the front end. Left 1000+ dollars later with the vibration. Replaced then control arm is what they did. Some how neglected to even recommend tie rods. Super slack on diag wasted moneyService: Steering & suspension repairService: Steering & suspension repair

Scammers and unprofessional.Went in WITH a diagnosis for a blown head gasket from Ingold. They run the diagnosis again themselves, and then tell me that they're missing a tool and can't do the repair. They could've checked to see if they had the tool at ANY time before running another diagnostic, especially because another reputable shop had already diagnosed the issue. Any responsible professional mechanic would check if they have the basic tools needed for the job. If they didn't have the tool and couldn't do the test, that's fine, but it's the fact that they charge me a ridiculous amount when they should've just said that they didn't have it before taking on the job. They then proceed to charge me $120 for a block test. This exact same block test was already done at Ingold for $60. I might as well have just burnt my cash. Do not shop here.

I was so incredibly impressed by Massey Brothers. I brought my Jeep Patriot to them within 24 hours of me calling and requesting a diagnostics test. I was treated with respect and professionally by each and every employee I interacted with. I was informed up front about diagnostic cost and a proposed timeline. They called me within just about an hour of dropping off with a quote and they were able to fix the issue within a few hours. Not all auto mechanical fixes are that easy but I will be going no where else beyond Massey Brothers due to their honest and speedy repair ability. Truck is running great and I could not be happier to have them in South Durham as my go-to spot. Thank you Massey!

GREAT SERVICE! I recently had to replace a bad alternator and they replaced it hassle free! Prices are very reasonable, service was QUICK (I was in and out much quicker than I expected), and the staff seem HONEST. Wes gave me a quote on repair and the repair cost was exactly the same price as quoted. My experience was 5/5. I would DEFINITELY recommend this shop!

Customer beware! Do not go here! Save yourself the headache and your wallet! I brought my vehicle in because the heat was not working. At first, I was told it would be around $300, which I was fine with spending on my older vehicle. However while they were working on it, a piece broke, which they never took responsibility for. Then I was told that this piece was necessary for the vehicle to run. So I had no other choice but to get the piece replaced, which brought my bill to over $900. This is not acceptable! When I brought my vehicle in, it was running fine, just didn't have any heat. Then they broke a piece which costed me several hundred dollars!Service: General repairs & maintenance

We were in Durham for the weekend (we live on Fayetteville), when our truck began having issues with the steering. A friend of ours recommended Massey Brothers, where we got the truck towed to.The issue was diagnosed, part ordered, work completed in no time. I was updated on what needed to be done, and no worries on my part.Great service, professional and very nice!Thank you for peace of mind and for the truck driving as it does!

I have been a loyal customer of Massey Brothers for 3 years, and I plan on being a loyal customer for life! These guys are fantastic. They do high-quality work. My mom's 2003 sedan that had always had problems before is now running great because of Massey Brothers. Best of all, they don't overcharge you! They will always try the most conservative repair first, and if that doesn't work they will deduct the cost of that repair off of the cost of the second try. I will enthusiastically recommend this team to anyone wanting a reliable mechanic they can count on to take great care of their car!

This is the best and only place that I will go. They are very honest and work hard for their clients. After getting numerous quotes for repairing my car, they were the cheapest. They treat you with respect and do the best work that I have found. Very trust worthy. Vince did the work on my car and I am very impressed. Thank you, Massey Brothers!!

Kind of weird location, but great service. They seem a little distant/unfriendly, but they are good at telling you what you need to know, getting your car work done, telling you when you would need to come back, and telling you needed vs superfluous repairs. Honest, hardworking, and efficient. Good comfortable waiting area inside.

Everyone was professional and helpful. I didn't have to wait long. They explained everything to me and didn't try to add anything extra or decieve me because I'm a woman that doesn't know much about cars. They were so kind. This is my new auto repair shop of choice. I recommend them to everyone. The waiting area is nice and comfortable too very clean.

I have taken my cars to Massey a few times now. Each time they act quite professionally, work expediently and are pleasant to deal with. They didn't try to upsell any repairs or products. I felt that the prices were very reasonable. I had one experience with them that makes them stand out as exceedingly honest- I received a quote over the phone from them and had them do the repairs. When I went to pick it up, they said the total would be 300$ (some 25% more than quoted). When I pointed this out, they rationalized the extra expense, researched who had spoken to me, reviewed his notes and still stuck to the quoted price. They could have charged me the higher amount; the work had been done, the parts were purchased, the pricing for the extra repairs was competitive. However, they did not, at their expense. I will continue using Massey as long as I can.

Customer for life!I went to Massey Brothers for my standard oil change earlier this week and they did a fabulous job as always. When I got in my car I noticed the seat felt a little damp and I called to explain that it felt swassy. The owner was incredibly apologetic and asked that I bring the car back immediately so they could clean it and make it right. I told him not to worry about it just wanted to let them know so nobody else had a similar situation. Then I remembered I had a coupon for $5 off, which I forgot to use at the time of my service. I went back to see if they could honor the coupon after the fact, at which point the owner apologized again for the seat and pulled $5 out of his own wallet because he couldn t give a refund but he wanted to honor the discount. I highly recommend coming here for the quality car service and customer service!

Charged $60 just to evacuate air conditioning freon. I didn't want to let it out into the atmosphere, so I went here. Usually places do it for free or even give money because it's just giving them free r134a freon.

Always friendly, and as someone who knows about cars, they are honest. Great place to get fast inspections. They will let you know about maintenance things you are going to be needing, but they don't try to pressure you or make you think your car is going to self destruct if you don't choose to get them done that instant.

These guys ripped me off. The fuel pump on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 went out up the road from these guys one night. After reading plenty of good reviews about them I had my truck towed to their shop and called first thing the next morning to get a quote on the job. They quoted me $740 for a new fuel pump ($305) and 3 hours of labor plus tax ($435). I called the Auto Zone next door and they had the same fuel pump in stock for $160. I bought it and brought it in to them to save the $145 they would have charged to walk next door and pick it up. At the end of the day I walked out paying $435 in labor (3 hrs x $135 + tax) for a job that has a book time of 2 hours and in reality only takes 1.5 hours. $135/hr is absolutely ridiculous. These guys are crooks. After leaving I called a few other local shops in the area and they all quoted the job between $250-$300 in labor. My mistake on dropping my truck off at the wrong shop. You live and you learn. For $135/hr I should have been getting a lap dance in the waiting room while getting a shoulder massage and eating a complementary lunch.

I started coming here about 15 years ago when I worked in RTP for the convenience. I've stayed with them all these years because they're good, fast and trustworthy. It's difficult to find a repair shop that I can trust so I've stayed with Massey Brothers even though I now live in Apex and have to drive 20 minutes to get here.

Called and explicitly asked if they worked on transmissions. They said yes. They worked on my car for a couple of days, forgot to call me and inform me the car was finished and now my car wont start or drive and they now say they cant fix my car because its a transmission issue but had no issues taking my money. (Refer to the first sentence). My car is worse than it was before I came. Waste of time and moneyService: Transmission

Great service. Honest people. I've been a customer for almost 7 years now. We used to live in Durham and they were very close to our old house - now I drive from Apex when my schedule allows, to get cars repaired. I highly recommend Massey Brothers.

If you are looking for a nice honest, family owned shop with great customer service and mechanics who know what they are talking about, go here!Stay away from the guys across the street, these guys are so much better and cheaper! They don't try and BS you into things that do not need done. The owner even gave me a ride to work and offered to pick me up when my car was done!

Had a flat tire that I needed to get plugged. Called them on the phone due to good ratings on here and they worked me in as soon as I got there. Reasonable rate for getting it plugged and friendly fast service. Would recommend.
