If I could give negative stars I would but the lowest here is one star. Brought my car here for a regular oil change I had dropped it off in the morning and I waited until 5 pm to see if they would call me, which it didn't happen then found out that it was going to be ready next day so that oil change is advertising on their window for 29.99 ended up paying almost 200$. The manager "Joshua" (which his customer service is on the floor, man with no matters at all) didn't even explain why the charge was so much, my friend came 2 days prior to get an oil change and she was charge almost 60$ for regular oil I asked him to please give me details on the charge and he refuse to explain. He seems to have a racist problem with Hispanic and Black people I work for an auto parts store for years and I wanted to know what was going on with my car and he wouldn't explain not even one bit. He thinks because I'm a woman I don't know anything about cars boom he is WRONG I am not the only one who has a complaint about him, people who has worked and still work at that location have been treated like trash because the management running the business (and that includes upper management to such as DM's, they're cut with the same scissors) I will spread the word around my friends and family who have been coming here for years to take their business somewhere else due to the fact that he is racist, rude, his customer service sucks and overall they are overcharging people for services that have not been asked and for doing false advertising through their location and their website...........

Joshua was very thorough, friendly, and reassuring. I also appreciate that he did not try to add more services to the tab. That has happened a lot to me at other places so very happy to feel safe at this store! The service was great and I am definitely returning for my next tire and car services. Thanks so much!

I called to see how long a rear brake job would take and was told it would take about 1.5 hours and they had time NOW> so I brought my car in. After 2 hours they came out and told me it needed $4500 in repairs and the brakes hadn't even been done yet - made me miss my doctor appointment! AND charged me $24 for a complete vehicle inspection. In the end, I did go ahead with the repairs because at that point I needed a ride home to meet with my home infusion nurse and if I was going through the trouble of leaving the car there, I might as well get the repairs done so I didn't need to make any more trips. I do like Firestone and think they're very competent, but their prices were a little more than I'm used to ($153/hr for labor). I came from South Carolina where they charge less. Also, SC checked my brakes before I left and didn't say I needed new rotors with the brake job I needed. Next time I might consider getting my car inspected and an estimate at another location as I'm new to NC.

They did a good job with performing an alignment service on my truck (first time I ve ever had it done right the first time without having to go back immediately for adjustments). The one other thing I d mention is that it was great to not be pressured into a number of other services. I got what I needed done and was on my way.

After having worked here as a mechanic and service writer over a span of about 6 years, leaving, and continuing to bring my car here for it's maintenance I can say they have greatly improved their service over the last year. When I brought my car in for an service [oil change, tire rotation/balance/alignment] today I didn't have an appointment, but did have a ride home planned. However my ride was not able to pick me up, I informed the service writer and he said they would try and get me out as quick as possible. I was in and out within an hour even though I didn't have an appointment and they had not planned on me waiting in their lobby. They informed me of a few issues with my car and provided me with quotes on further repairs and service, but were not pushing the sales as I have seen before. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful including the tech I spoke with. I was overall extremely pleased with my visit today, the fairness of the prices, and the friendliness of the staff. On another side of this I was also very pleased to see some of the more discouraging employees I had encountered on previous visits no longer here, and I felt a better overall vibe in the shop and service room.

My tires , which I bought there last January, they told me I needed to replace all 4 because I had a nail in the sidewalk of 1 tire. That s not true I only need to replace 2 tires. I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me being a woman and not knowing any better. Also the stupid technician that looked at the tire and put my spare on put my old tire right on a bag in my trunk with glass dishes and broke them all!! Are you going to pay me back for the damages he caused??? I even have pictures of it

Firestone attempted to price gauge me on the most basic repair - changing a brake light. First, the tech tried to charge me for a "light inspection". When I declined, he took time to work up $56 worth of charges to change the bulb - UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!As a woman, especially a woman of color, I find this behavior inexcusable.

Found a nail in a rear tire and went straight over to see if they could do a patch. Was met by Roke, who was friendly and professional. They worked the car in (no appointment) and had it done in only an hour. Thanks, Firestone!

The manager at the Durham Duke St. Firestone has a problem with servicing colored ppl . I made an appointment to get my brakes inspected & changed but my car has been pulling to the right when I brake so I brought in the FREE brake inspection coupon . He refused to do any service UNLESS I gave him $25 , I called corporate & made a complaint right in front of him , he was pose to call me within 24 hrs to do the service . I went in 2 weeks ago . Sorry you guys have lost a client do to the stupidity of one person , I really enjoyed you guys before then .

An emission check that I was told would cost $30, ended up costing $108. Granted I needed a light bulb replaced. The bulb cost $12.99 but the charge for removing and replacing it was $45.90.Then they charged an additional $10 to examine my window tint! I don't have tint beyond what is usually provided to keep out the sun. When I showed them the 2022 North Carolina Congressional law change which deleted this examination they insisted the government wouldn't allow them to pass my car without the assessment.

I visited Firestone this week for a state inspection, synthetic oil change, and a wheel alignment this week. I arrived for my 10 am appointment. My vehicle went back about 30 minutes later, and the service took about an hour and a half. They were extremely busy so I anticipated it might be a while. I came prepared to work with my laptop. Yolanda was friendly and helpful during check-in and check-out. Bathroom needed paper towels but otherwise was well stocked. I am a repeat customer and have had mixed experiences here. Other than having to wait a little longer than anticipated, today was a good visit with quality service.

I have used this Firestone location several times for services for my vehicle, initially because of its convenient location and open hours. Jose was my initial contact and he has always been friendly and willing to making things right if something doesn't go as planned. Just make sure the folks you talk to know what's going on!I came in several months ago for a headlamp that would not stay on although I had just replaced the bulb. It turns out the adapter that holds the bulb had gone bad. The mechanics replaced it with another one, but it wasn't holding the correct bulb for my vehicle correctly. So the light continued to go out off and on. I called, Jose told me to bring it by. I did on a day where Jose was not there. The mechanic did nothing with the affected adapter, but replaced the other headlamp (not the adapter)?!? I just left.On another note, when I had the headlamp adapter work done I also had my tires replaced (if it wasn't at the same time, it was during one of the following visits). Shortly after I noticed one tire wearing much faster than all three others. Back to Firestone I went! Enter Carlos. He is AMAZING! He was patient with my questions and explained exactly what happened. We got a new tire on my car and realigned the tires to ensure I wouldn't have the same issue.I go back today to check the alignment and some routine maintenance after driving for awhile. Fingers crossed customer service and the mechanics still deserve the 5 stars! I will happily leave another review if so! They did the work and made it right previously to earn this 5 star review. The man up front I believe his name was Jose, he was very knowledgeable and helped me resolve my a/c issue. I used to drive around with my windows down, not anymore I have cold a/c blowing now. BUYER BEWARE...AS A FORMER SERVICE MANAGER (I JUST QUIT) I'VE NOTICED HOW OVER PRICED THE SERVICE IS,HOW PRICING FOR BLACKS WERE DIFFERENT THAN IT WAS FOR MEXICANS AND WHITES. I WITNESSED CARS GET SERVICES THAT WERE NOT NEEDED. (EVERY BRAKE JOB DOESN'T REQUIRE ROTORS) I WAS FORCED TO SELL SERVICES THAT WAS AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGMENT (BEEN IN THIS FIELD FOR 30 YEARS) AND WHEN I REFUSED TO SELL SERVICES THAT WEREN'T NEEDED, I WAS TOLD THAT IT'S MY JOB TO STILL SELL WHAT THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED I CAN NOT LIE OR MISLEAD PEOPLE SO I QUIT AFTER 1 1/2 MONTHS...BEWARE OF THIS PLACE

Once again I had another great experience with Firestone. The service manager Carlos was wonderful to work with, he explained in detail the work I needed done to my car and the work was done and completed as promised. I will definitely recommend this Firestone and will be back again. Cheryl

My daughter is a duke student and when she returned to school her parked car had a complete flat tire. As the mom who is in another state, I frantically tried to find places she could take her car to get it checked out. I called Firestone and spoke to the most helpful person named Yolanda. She quoted me a price in case my daughter needed tires and told me to send her over. My daughter was able to get the care to Firestone and Yolanda was waiting for her. She told her not to worry and that we had talked and she will take care of her. After they inspected the car they found it was an easy fix and that her final bill was nominal fee because she didn't need new tires. They didn't overcharge her or try to sell her new tires. Yolanda told her I understand your mom's worries and I wanted to help as a mom herself. That meant the world to us. An honest, caring, responsible person to help a young lady in need. This speaks volumes and reinforces my belief that there are still genuine people in this world like Yolanda. Kudos Yolanda and Firestone for outstanding service and amazing care. They were extremely helpful with diagnosing the problem of my car. Even said if it continues that I could bring it back. Which I did and they topped my oil off free of charge bc my engine was clearly burning oil. Very helpful and explained in details what was happening so I could follow.

Very poor customer service. The person working the front desk had several spats with customers both on the phone and in the store. Extremely unprofessional and I would avoid it at all costs. The person working the front desk took a phone call complaint from Firestone corporate on speakerphone for the whole lobby to hear. The person explained to corporate that she hung up on the customer because she doesn't have time for upset customers. Had an appointment at 9am and waited an hour with no update. I eventually left. Avoid this place.

I've been to this Firestone Auto for the last few years, but I recently had a very unsettling experience. I had an appointment for a check-up and car maintenance for which I chose to get only an oil change and filter change. Unfortunately, I was left waiting in the lobby for 3.5 hours. Moving forward, I will inquire about expected wait times beforehand. Although, I feel the company should remain in communication with the customer for any prolonged wait times. Waiting 3.5 hours for oil change is unreasonable.Service: Oil change
