Kevin and Wayne are top notch service ticket writers.Yes, they do try to upsell you on additional service and repairs, but in my experience it is only been what is in relation to what they are working in. For example I needed a repair where my manifold had to come off, Kevin suggested that I go ahead and get my spark plugs replaced while they had access to it. The additional cost of labor for that made changing my spark plugs at a shop totally worthwhile.I worked on cars since I was a kid, so I have a really good working knowledge and understanding of labor for repairs and how long it takes to complete a repair and what a reasonable cost would be. These guys have never charged more than what I thought was a reasonable price.I've been to five different mechanics since moving to the Durham area and something has just missed at every other mechanic that I've gone to but Wayne and Kevin have their shop running like a top.As long as Kevin and Wayne keep writing the service tickets at Clayton's I don't see the need for me to go anywhere else for my repairs.Keep up the good work fellas.

I am old enough to have had many experiences with car care service centers. Clayton's is the best I have used over the longest period of time. We have four auto's and they have repaired or recommended someone for repairs on every one of them for the last twenty years. Clayton's Car Care was the first mechanic I have worked with outside of dealing with warranty work at the dealership. I am very pleased with the work they did on my GMC Sierra and will be going back to them in the future. I had great Communication from Kevin along the way letting me know what they are doing and how long it would take to complete the repair.

Really great service! We were having an issue with our starter and they were able to get us in quickly. Communication was great and they took the time to explain everything about the diagnostics to us. Pricing was fair and everyone we interacted with was very friendly and professional. I'd highly recommend them!

Clayton's Car Care is extremely professional, speedy, and accommodating. I had roughly two weeks to get a check engine light resolved and a state inspection done before registration was due at the end of the month, and Clayton's made it happen. They're super friendly guys and are very willing to work with you no matter your circumstances. The peace of mind throughout my entire interaction with Clayton's was the cherry on top.

LADIES - I am writing this on my husband's account - if you are tired of going to shops where the men there treat you like you don't know what you are hearing or experiencing with your vehicle, go to Clayton's instead! If you are tired of the condescending tones and the gaslighting that you get from other places, go to Clayton's. If you want an HONEST answer about what your vehicle needs, or doesn't need, please go to Clayton's. I can't say enough about my experiences here and how easy it is to work with Wayne and Kevin, and how respectful and honest they are. And can we say communication! I have never had an issue getting in touch with them. I haven't had an issue with them calling me back, because they always call me first. Every now and then my vehicle ends up somewhere else (like when I bought a new one and it was still under warranty and I had to take it to the dealership's service department), and I am reminded why I don't go anywhere but Clayton's. If you haven't taken your vehicle here, you should. -Jennifer

What sets Clayton s apart is not just their great work, which, in my opinion, is unsurpassed. It is their integrity. They do great work at a very fair price, they don t try to talk you into unnecessary work, and they include you in every decision. This seem like a good place to repair your car. They seem a little up set when I was not at home to answer their call. Could not call them back. I went out of town for a funeral when I got back the message said they need to hear from me. Honest and fair. Almost always able to accommodate service within a few days especially if you're open to leaving it there for a few hours. Would recommend to others.

I've been getting lots of repairs done with my car from other mechanics around my area and wasn't quite satisfied.so I decided to take it to Clayton's car care and I'm very satisfied to getting service from em. They're most trusted mechanic around here and I would never going back to other mechanics again.This place get so busy as soon as they open so call em head of time to make appointment.

Anytime I have an issue, I can count on Clayton s to triage it appropriately without nickel and diming me. They do a great job of making you feel like you re the only person they are servicing. They are honest and do good work! We ve been here for a few years at minimum and have never had a bad experience.

Can t say enough good things about Kevin and his crew at Clayton s. They were extremely communicative and transparent throughout the whole process of getting my truck repaired. They went out of their way to make sure everything was fixed in a timely manner and checked in with me to make sure I was okay with the price point. Reasonable prices and quality work. Nice folks. Listened to the concerns I had about my car and a mysterious ailment that needed sorting out. They clearly explained all of my options for solving the issue they detected and for routine maintenance.Service was quick, professional. They gave me their informed opinion on what needed to be done but trusted my judgement on what would finally be done from all the options.This was certainly good, professional service.

I had my yearly service done a few weeks ago. I waited while they worked . They were prompt and checked with me before doing anything additional and told me some things I didn't need done that I had thought I might need. Guys were nice, gave me options, didn t pressure me, listened and tried to understand my situation. And did a lot of work in one day. I was debating between here and somewhere else and I picked Clayton s bc the reviews were great and they quoted me less! I LOVE Clayton s Car Care. Twice now they have rescued me in a pinch, both by replacing my battery and tires. They are definitely my new go-to mechanic. We have been using Clayton s for our car care needs for about two years. We were new to the area and I read a lot of reviews before choosing this company. They are absolutely awesome. Kevin and Wayne are so helpful- they explain everything in detail and they are very reasonable. Highly recommend these guys!!!

I took my car here for a state inspection and oil change. I made an appointment, and the folks at Clayton's Car Care got it done in a reasonable amount of time and honored my request to use full synthetic oil. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised when they gave me a nice schematic of my car, highlighting everything they checked (fluids, tires, brake pads, etc.) and showing what was in good shape or in need of replacing. I came back a few months later for a 100,000 mile inspection and maintenance. Everything they recommended replacing or flushing was entirely reasonable considering the age and mileage of my car. Plus, they will explain to you each job that needs to be done on your car and whether or not it needs immediate attention, which is helpful for people who don't know squat about cars. So far, I'm very happy with my experiences with Clayton's Car Care. It's easy to make appointments, they explain everything and confirm permission before doing it, they are clear with how long the services will take (and stick to that timing), and they do great work.
