I walked in and asked for an oil change and inspection. They were able to get the work done pretty fast. But it did get full as I was waiting so come early if you re a walk in client. While waiting I heard a lot of teamwork amongst the staff and clear descriptions with clients about the best brands vs economical brands. They were able to fix my issues after a failed inspection and I left a happy customer. They are also up to date with technology so I got work updates and a digital bill.

Our city of Durham, which we love, has so many good things to offer. But lately the news has been bombarded with break-ins, porch thieves, drive-bys and, yes, murders. These occurrences start to make one believe nothing good happens in Durham. Well, I m here to attest that good things DO happen here, because we have good people who care about others and truly want to do good in the community! A big shout out to Chapel Hill Tire on Hillsborough Road in Durham!! My husband & I were recently nominated by a friend for Chapel Hill Tire s 12 Days of Kindness, for our contributions to the Durham community as well as for our recent struggles. We ended up being one of the 12 winners & were awarded $1000 worth of free car care!! That in itself is exciting and a HUGE help for our tight finances! Chris (the mechanic) went over our van with a fine toothed comb & unfortunately found some things that would cost well over $1000. One of the items was the need for a new catalytic converter. I figured they would agree to fix the other items (front brakes & rotors, oil change & tire rotation, new rear brake light, cabin & air filters, etc.), & my husband & I would deal with the catalytic converter at another time. But no!!! Danielle the amazing customer service rep, told us they were going to take care of EVERYTHING! NO CHARGE!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? On top of that, Chris the manager treated us like royalty, treated my grandkids to some Hot Wheels cars, and invited us to bring our other car in for a FREE oil change!! What business does this in this day and age?? I ll tell you who: Chapel Hill Tire on Hillsborough Rd in Durham!! People, take your car needs here, because you will be treated fairly, will have good work done, and it will be done in a timely manner! If the ratings went to 10, they would get an 11! Customer service is wonderful, repair work is professional & thorough, & this business does other events to help our community!

I was so impressed! I had a flat tire on my way to work and this team was amazing. They helped me with my tire issues and my car was ready at the end of my work day! They also have a free shuttle for Duke employees. The payment options were seamless. I would highly recommend them!

When I recently moved here two years ago I went to them under previous ownership and the new ownership is just as great. Oil changes are quick, and they have the best system to show you all the diagnostics via text message so you can plan for future needs that may be costly. They also have coupons available on their website , which every little bit helps. The young woman (I think her name is Danielle but I could be completely making that up) is always so kind, helpful, and professional. They are honest, and don t try to talk you into services that aren t necessary like they do at the dealerships. My 2020 Camry couldn t be running better!

There are not enough words to express how great my experience was at Chapel Hill Tire. Danielle and the entire team blew me away with their helpfulness and patience and communication. I loved how I was kept in the loop after dropping my car off with texts and emails. And I got my car cleaned too has never looked better. I won t be taking my business anywhere else.

A few weeks ago, I was traveling thru Durham NC and picked up a screw in my new tire. I was excited to find Chapel Hill Tire soon after my low pressure tire alert came on. I walked in as employees were leaving. I didn't realize that they had closed 30 minutes before my arrival. I'm from Virginia and would have been stranded. One of their awesome employees (sorry I forgot his name) volunteered to turn the compressors back on and patched my tire. It was such a blessing to have this young man step up and help in my time of need.Everyone was so kind to me and I will never be able to express what it meant to me for your company to go above and beyond.Thank you again for excellent customer service! I would recommend this business to anyone in the Durham area.

Shout out to Danielle for making it business to get the job done. The techs made sure communication went smoothly. I was expecting my car to be done later or not even in the same day. Nope, Danielle went above and beyond to make sure my vehicles got everything it needed and was ready for me before I even got out of work same day. Excellent work and my AC was smooth and cold like brand new. I never expect anything less from Chapel Hill Auto. Thank you team for everything you all do for me and thank you Danielle for the above and beyond customer experience .

Danielle was very courteous and helpful with getting my car issues handled. She was very professional and always kept me updated. Chris was very thorough with my car and both of these people were honest with me about further issues and explained how they were going to fix it. So thankful Danielle and Chris were on my car repair today.

Chapel Hill Tire on Hillsborough Rd in Durham came highly recommended by several people that had been pleased with the service and the caring positive experience. When I inquired about them, one person told me they were so nice to work with and then another piped up telling me how they had really helped her family out. I found that to be my experience. When you're having problems with your vehicle and you're stressed not sure what it entails, it's nice to deal with people that are friendly and reassuring, people you trust to be honest with you and fix the problem.

As a college student I would not go back here again. I needed an oil change and this place was close to campus so I picked it. I have a Toyota that typically takes 0W-20. On their website this oil would cost max $77, which is still more than I ve ever paid for this car s oil change. They called me a few hours after I dropped the car off and told me it would cost $92. When I went in to pickup the car they told me my total was $110. On their website this would be the cost for a full synthetic European oil change. When I asked why my car needed this as it never had before, they just gave me a vague answer that they went by what the manufacturer recommends (see above it was not). The lady then immediately said give her a $20 off coupon. The fact that they were immediately willing to give me a discount seemed suspicious to me, like they were already overcharging me. I was still confused as to why it was so expensive and they told me that my oil tank was larger than usual so that was an extra charge. At that point I was over it and ended up paying the $90. When I got my receipt it said that the larger tank was an extra $10, which still doesn t account for why my total was about $40 more than I have ever paid for an oil change in the car. Also on the receipt it said that the $20 off was because I was a first time costumer, which was not something they told me when they gave it to me- they just acted like they were giving me a good deal by taking money off. Overall not a good experience and a huge waste of money- I will be finding another place to get my oil changes in the future.

I recently had major repairs performed on my vehicle at Chapel Hill Tire. The experience was courteous and professional from start to finish. I was kept informed via phone and text throughout the process on the status of the repairs. I was extremely impressed by the digital vehicle inspection provided by Chapel Hill Tire. It included short videos which gave an explanation of the repairs that were needed, as well as photos of those actual areas on my vehicle. This was very educational, informative, and helpful to me as a consumer. In addition, the shuttle service is a very nice feature of doing business with Chapel Hill Tire. I would highly recommend Chapel Hill Tire to anyone seeking the services of a professional and reputable automotive repair company.

Ricky & the team got my vehicle in, diagnosed the problem, ordered the needed parts and got my vehicle repaired in a timely manner. The shuttle service is a much appreciated service as well. I highly recommend.

I was able to make arrangements for the service very quickly, the woman at the counter who took my information was extremely nice and cordial, and the service was very good. I would say that it was excellent except for the fact that the filter cover in the cabin of the car was not put back together nor the items in the glove box replaced at the end of the service. I guess the technician got distracted by something else. No harm no foul, but falls short of excellent for that reason. I would still recommend the company and plan to continue using them routinely.

I called a little after 8 AM to schedule a same day appointment to have tires installed and was told that I would get a return call after a customer was checked in. I waited for the call and finally decided to call back. I was unable to speak to anyone that time, so I called the Woodcroft location and was able to schedule an appointment right away. I received a return call from this location at 9:52 AM. By that time, I had made arrangements at the Woodcroft location. They did follow up via text a few times, but after waiting over two hours for a return call, it was a moot point by that time. The folks at the Woodcroft location took excellent care of me.

I have never in my life experienced such PHENOMENAL SERVICE! Danielle was the amazing lady who helped me from the beginning to the end! She was thorough and straight to the point on everything, and I appreciated that kind of transparency. I never once questioned anything she told me and I was able to leave with my car serviced beautifully. SHOUTOUT TO DANIELLE! This location is blessed to have her.

The staff is friendly and helpful. I especially appreciate the fact they don t push up-sales. They describe service recommendations, but give reasonable analysis of the urgency of the need. I also like that they offer ride service to and from home their location.

I decided to visit my old neighborhood service shop for my last-minute state inspection, and the experience was so simple and friendly and professional. I got a next-day appointment, and there was no pressure on me to spend more money to fix anything, just informative details and a realistic discussion of options for the work I might need done soon.

My coworker recommend Chapel Hill Tires. Im always nervous going to a new automechanic but i had a great experince at the Durham location. No unexpected charges or push to get un-needed work done. Danielle was really nice and quick to respond to emails (even after hours) they also rotated my tires for free.

Went for regular oil change and NC state inspection. It was easy to get in. Service was smooth and they recommended some maintenance which is coming up since I have about 105k miles on my car.

They truly do honor their satisfaction guarantee. You can go here and know 100% that you will get your car taken care of thoroughly the first time and if for some reason you don't leave happy with your service and are still having trouble with your car, you can take it right back to them and they will do everything they can to make you happy because when they say "satisfied guaranteed"...I promise you it is guaranteed.I wasn't satisfied the first time and this is what happened:When I started hearing a strange sound coming from my car and my check engine light came on I went online to search for a mechanic I could trust bc I am not from here and don't know many people in the area. I found Chapel Hill Tire and read over their website thoroughly before bringing it in.I was skeptical at first bc alot of businesses say that and still are over priced and add random extra fees here and there. I saw that they have a warranty on their repairs here so I gave them a chance.I got a thorough diagnosis and was told I had to get a few minor repairs for a total of about 1300. I was told that after paying the 1300 that I would be all good until my next required maintenance. I was so relieved it wasn't worse.I left there and was still hearing the same noise that I came there to get help with....which was truly upsetting so I took it back and they did some more checks and I was told there were some things they initially missed wrong with my car! And there were MAJOR repairs needed to even get my car running! I was upset and got in contact with the district manager, Dalton who dropped everything he had going on that day and made sure to make things right immediately! He spent a long time discussing every detail of my experience with me.Dalton personally inspected my car and hemade sure to spend extra time on my car and everything (they missed the first time) repaired immediately at no cost to me and even threw in a free car detailing service as well and delivered it back to my house the very next morning!If I went any other place and this happened...I would be out of a car right now and/or in debt thousands of dollars! I'm telling you...I'm a single mom and the struggle is real! If you can't afford to gamble with car repairs... Go to any of the 7 or 8 Chapel Hill Tire locations to have a SOLID warranty that is honored with no question. Dalton, the district manager, who oversees multiple locations personally made sure that I was taken care of and he personally test drove my car after the final repairs and personally looked over the repairs I needed to make sure I would not have any problems with my car any time soon and I can't even tell you how invaluable that is! I am beyond satisfied with Dalton's impeccable customer service bc I wasn't too happy with the people I initially dealt with so he made sure to make everything right and then some! A million thanks!

I usually go to the chapelhill tire on hope valley rd as I didn't know this location was close to my house..so glad I found it...the receptionist at the desk that was checking me in was very kind and so professional..I was hearing a loud rattling noise on the driver side front of my suv..I made an online appointment which took all of about 5 minutes. I then received a conformation email and I was all set...I arrived on time was checked in and diagnosed quickly and the issue was taken care of in a very timely manner...I will recommend this location to anyone who is looking for 5 star car service..I will be returning to this location for all my automotive need... thanks chapelhill tire

I just had an amazing experience at this place! The customer service is absolutely fantastic, and I'm definitely bringing all of my cars here in the future. Tiffany is a true gem - she was so helpful and really went above and beyond to address all of my concerns. Even when Spence left, I thought I was in trouble, but Tiffany stepped right up and saved the day! If you're looking for top-notch customer service and excellent mechanics, you've definitely found the right spot.

Nice enough staff, but I didn t actually get serviced. For some reason they allow you to select an appointment time, personally email you that your appointment is confirmed, and then make you wait 7+ hours to actually be serviced. This would be unacceptable at any other business requiring an appointment. I eventually decided to take my business elsewhere, I would rather go somewhere that is first come first serve than offering unavailable appointment times. Conveniently, a manager is not available to hear this grievance. They do, however, have an automated text message sent asking for reviews, so here I am. If you do choose to go here, just be aware that it will be a whole day production.
