They just towed my car this morning and said they only take cash. What company doesn t have a card reader? I had to go to a nearby gas station because I didn t want to take two Ubers. The ATM i went to has exorbitant fees. This is definitely an operation. I am reporting them to the IRS because they definitely are not paying taxes on all these scams.Also: good luck to mad hatters and Whole Foods for working with this predatory company! Will not be doing business with either anymore. Especially mad hatters as I have bought thousands worth of food from them through organizations and other involvements.

These people were so nice and helpful to me and my husband. They were very sympathetic to our situation. After giving us our car back with no problems, it was on TWO flat tires!! They found two good tires and installed them...AT NO CHARGE!! Miracle workers all of them. They let me know that they care about people...not just the money.

I requested a tow and the gentleman was able to meet me within 15 minutes. He was kind and very professional. I was so grateful that they were able to help!

My car was towed from my apartment in the middle of the night on a Monday. My car was registered and had every reason to be parked there. Apparently this place has a deal with the apartment across the alleyway that they can tow any car with expired tags. My tags were barely expired and it s none of their business anyway.But they took my car and made me pay $265 to get it back even though I went and got it right away. They know it would be more expensive for me to try to fight this in court than it would be to pay them. This is a predatory company and I wish only the worst on anybody involved in it. I can barely pay my bills as it is. Shame on all of them.

Our friends car was towed from a parking space and unreported to the police.We called the police and they said nothing had been reported in the last couple hours, so we reported it stolen. Ironically, we met the driver on his way back to our apartment for another tow and he said he was going to report it after he came back and towed the other car next to it, and that he had 30 minutes. There s only one problem with that, NC law says you have to report BEFORE you tow unless the vehicle is blocking traffic. It wasn t blocking anything, and even if it was, chandlers is over 15 minutes from here meaning it had already been well over 30 minutes by the time we spoke with him. This company is just trying to make a quick buck by cutting corners and not operating under the law.Our friend said that the guy in the truck at the gate was hostile and didn t give her a receipt after paying the fee. I would be surprised if this was not reported at all like it never happened. What a scam!

I see these other reviews but I genuinely had a great experience with Chandler s today. I came in around 1:30pm with no appointment. The customer service was great from the time I pulled in the parking lot until the very end. Super nice people! Literally the best I ve had in years! They took care of my car quickly, I was literally in and out. I m very big on customer service so for me to rate 5 stars is huge! I will definitely be back and refer others as well!

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Chandler s Towing. My car was towed, and the company failed to report this to the local police department as required, which caused unnecessary stress and confusion. To resolve this, I had to personally file the towing report with the police department, and would recommend doing so because of the following reasons: Legal Compliance with local laws and regulations: Documentation and dispute resolution incase there s any disputes about the legality of the tow, charges incurred, or damages to your vehicle. Tracking towing practices and consumer protection as a pattern of failing to report tows can lead to investigations or corrective actions, such a predatory towing practices.Upon retrieving my vehicle, I was required to pay a steep fee of $265, and the company insisted on cash or debit card payment only, refusing to accept credit cards. This payment method felt a bit unusual and lacked the transparency and consumer protection that credit card payments offer.Moreover, after the towing, I discovered damage to my car s wheels, which occurred during the towing process. Given these issues, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contacted the Towing Inspector of Durham to address the unprofessional conduct and the damages incurred. The lack of care and professionalism in handling my vehicle is concerning. I am disappointed with the service and the ensuing complications, including the vehicle damage. I hope that by sharing my experience, others will be aware and cautious when dealing with Chandler s Towing.

Great place! I ve had several things done at the shop and they always do a good job! The automotive center and the regular towing side of the business is definitely on point! Recently had a tow for the family and they got it done flawlessly! Very kind and helpful! Thank you!I ve seen a lot of negative reviews on here (they do illegal parked tows) therefore they get upset customers and that equals negative feedback. Don t pay it any attention!

The worst towing company in Durham they towed my boyfriend car from Villages at Auburn and he had a parking sticker in the window. We made sure he had a sticker because he had just got towed a week ago without one so that same day I made sure he had a sticker. He had to be late for work because they didn t open until 8:00 for him to not have to pay because the sticker was in his car. Unwrongful towing and he could have lost his job. How do you all correct a mistake your driver made. So the driver just tows without looking at the windshield or did you assume he didn t have one this time because he was just towed. That s not how you do business your job is to check all cars first before towing. Bad place of business do not recommend for any towing needs. This company should be sued for towing a car with a sticker and no apology given.

As an attorney, I believe the people of Durham should take out a class action law suit for these predators. Then we should complain to any agency doing business with them. They need to be cancelled. They had the audacity to say my car was doubled parked and towed me at 3:00 am. This is a place where there are more parking than tenants. When I vacate, I will say that this is the primary reason. These folks are opportunists. They will tow you and make up a reason why. This is a place where I lived at for almost 10 years. If there is enough folks , let's sue them!!!!! Let's contact the news about them! These guys need to be stopped asap. We need to know who the owner is. I bet he or she has other shady practices. My car has been shot in that complex and I will report both the complex's and the company to the news. I was quiet. Let's stop them now. I want to see all who has been victimized by them and I will take appropriate action legally and publicly!

Stolen vehicle (with police report) turned up at Retreat at RTP. Owners had Chandlers towing remove it. Chandlers towing won t release vehicle without payment. Way to punish the victim guys.

Very unsafe for women to go alone here.This place is big scammer.They demand cash upon calling them no credit or debit card payment. Very unsafe place for women to handle or deal with this people.Lady please donot go alone here.Very unsafe place.Don't go here when it's dark for safety reason.They damaged my car and when I told them about the damages they told me to get out of the premises.Which is very unprofessional.I have posted the pictures for reference.Please see r ne careful dealing with this people.

I didn't think it was possible for customer service to be so bad. You'd think that they'd be trained to care about their customers. I brought my car in for a simple fix and they held it for almost a month. Eventually I had my car towed to another mechanic, where my car was serviced within a week. When I called to ask for an update on my car when it was here, the guy that i talled to had a real attitude with me. I just wanted to know what was up with my car. I wouldn't recommend this mechanic to anyone, ever.

Bunch of cowards I was moving walked in to get a box and came out they towed my wife's car. Wasn't there an hr yet charged me $200 Robbing hard working people. Plantation owner ribbing black folks on a Friday afternoon. I hope your business fails and u go bankrupt. Karma is real devils

Towed my elderly mother's car out of a visitors spot in my town home community. She was visiting and was parked correctly and legally, within the guidelines of my community. These people are thieves, scammers, and criminals.

My car was towed but I don t fault them for towing it-it s business. Mistakes happen & we have to pay for them. BUT I do fault them for making the painful experience almost harassment for the people.Which decent business in today s world doesn t accept credit cards AND doesn t ensure anyway for already pained customers to have access to an ATM nearby so that they can pay them a huge towing fee ($215)?I had to walk on unsafe roads in unsafe neighbourhoods with my unwell wife to find cash. I eventually had to Uber back home, get my Debit card, then find cash (I had seen how shady they were&wouldn t risk handing them my debit card), and then return-all before 5pm.The property companies that hire them should be sued for predatory business practices&harassment!

The people that work here don't seem to care about anyone other than themselves. They have really poor customer service and every encounter that I've had with them has been uncomfortable. The employees that I've met all seem passive aggressive for no reason. Their establishment isn't well kept and everyone there seems to have an attitude. Do not recommend, run away, find another towing company! Dave's Tow a Way is much better.

Do not recommend. They get stars at all because they in fact towed the car a mile to our house (for $100 yikes!). We made an appointment the day before and they said I needed to be there. I showed up, and called them 10 min after they didn t show, to which they said it d be another 20-30 min. I am 8 months pregnant and waiting in the heat, also waiting to pick up my other child, so I called again when they didn t show and they said they would meet me at the house and the driver would call back right away. The driver never called. An hour later they arrived and delivered the car. I had to pay extra for childcare because they were so late (to a local, scheduled towing). They would not consider a discount under any circumstances, and they asked if they should call my husband to pay over the phone. ?? Why did I have to be there at all if I could ve paid over the phone and they knew the delivery location? It made me furious. In a pinch they may do better, but DO NOT schedule a towing with them or anything you need them to be reliably on time for because you have life things you need to do.Service: Local hauling

My experience was different than a lot. Although the prices may not seem fair. I had to take a step back and realize i wouldn t be in the situation had my sticker on my tags been correct. Apartment complexes sign an agreement with them to tow cars for specific reasons. I went to get my car and got excellent service from everyone there! S/o to Mellisa, Corey, Brandon, and Jeff! Everybody really! They were all nice held conversations to the point where I even got my inspection done there for cheaper than what I usually pay! I was forced to get my tags right of course but who was to blame besides myself lol when I know better!

They are a bunch of liars who had us waiting for 3 hours at the wrong location in Raleigh for them to come open the gate. They kept playing phone games and pretended they had to call another driver over and over. Then they would say 20 minutes he will be there!! Lies!!! My daughter was calling first, then once I called, suddenly they were at the Durham location with her car. Durham police towed cars from NC Central and gave them to this horrible company. We just wanted to pay for the tow and pick up her car. These men are not honorable in business at all. Horrible horrible people

I would never recommend business from these guys. Please take your business somewhere else. These people are racist against Spanish/color pple I wonder how they treat their Spanish employees. Very poor Customer service.

I just want to give Felix and his team a shout out. I have a mustang that I hadn't driven in roughly 3 years. I was on the verge if selling it due to some issues it was having. I decided to take it to their shop and explained everything I knew was wrong with the car. They somehow managed to make my car drivable on a regular basis and it's been 4 months and I've had ZERO problems with my car. I'm so glad I held on to my car and very grateful to his team for bringing my baby back to life.... they even went out of their way to spruce it up before picking her up. THANK YOU FELIX AND TEAM!!!

My car was towed by this company. It was a very unpleasant experience and Debbie was about as barely civil as she could be. I realize this is probably not a pleasant job, telling people their cars been towed. But I don t think having an I couldn t care less about you attitude is necessary or helpful. I would think that simply and politely explaining would serve the company better.It would certainly be received better. But I doubt Debbie or this company would care at all about that. I wish they did.Service: Car towing
