A perfect bookstore! Has a great layout in a great area with a great book selection!! Even had a collectors edition that I was looking for. The Night I went, there was live music playing upstairs and it was amazing!

A beautiful little bookstore with a surprisingly large - and excellently chosen - selection of books. Two stories packed to the rafters of all genres. Lovely place, beautiful setting, wonderful staff. A little treasure.

This little bookstore in this little villiage makes my heart so happy. It is funky and fun and so cool. It is in the old Corolla villiage of long ago. There are shelves and shelves of books. There is an upstairs area as well. The outdoor space is shady and the porch is inviting. There are old trees and a few nooks to sit in. The help is friendly and always available to answer questions. There are cards, sunglasses, small souvenirs for book readers. There is a children's are too. This is just the place to spend a day browsing books. There is something for everyone!

This book store is a slice of heaven. The store is clean and very well organized, the staff are so personable and kind, and their selection of books are amazing. It is very clear that everyone involved with this establishment has a passion for books, customer service, and southern hospitality. Over the course of five days, I bought 12 books. I cannot wait to visit Corolla, NC again so I can spend time in one of my favorite places.

This is a charming little bookstore nestled in Currituck Park. Before entering the store, I knew it was going to be a pleasant experience because of a poster in the front window and a customer who was leaving. She informed us that we were in for a treat and she was right! My friends and I ordered the book from the poster and purchased several others, which all arrived before our vacation ended. If you're in town... check them out. The photos sheds a little light on this quaint establishment.

The bookstore was clean and well kept and the staff was friendly. The Children s book section was FANTASTIC. I walked away with three books for my toddler but he and I both wanted more. My son enjoyed his time there as well. They allowed him to wander around and he loved being amongst all the books. The environment is comfortable so you ll want to just hang out for bit if time allots. There was a BBQ spot across the road to grab some lunch as well.

Stopped by this little treasure trove and was pleasantly surprised. They have so many new titles and an excellent selection of books and novelties. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the staff was super friendly. Well laid out and thoughtful in their choices. As a library assistant I have to say this is a wonderful place to visit when you need beach reads or anything else!

Wow! What an awesome spot! Great experience- The woman working there was very knowledgeable and made shopping there a complete pleasure! Left with some great books, some gifts for friends and family, and a full heart :) Can't wait to come back!

What a totally pleasant surprise here at the end of the island. I've visited on two trips to the Outer Banks, and this place has been a real highlight in a locale full of them. Seriously good fiction section: It's stocked with beach reads, but it also has small press literature from the best publishers around, including on two helpful recommendation shelves near the front. This will be a regular part of any future trip out here. Swing by The Kind Cup nearby for good coffee with your book! My picks today: The Fraud by Zadie Smith (signed!), Terrace Story by Hillary Leichter, and The Love of Singular Men by Victor Heringer.

Had went to another Island Bookstore closer to Nags head way. They didn't have the book we were looking for. Called this store, and they did have it. The gentleman working at the store was super thorough and helpful. He even set the book aside for us which I thought was really kind. A lady staying with us actually went and picked the book up for us. She stated he was very helpful in helping her also get the next book in the series. Since the phone experience and her experience was so good, we had to come check it out ourselves. Walking in, I saw the picture posted. And that was just all she wrote. Best bookstore around!

This bookstore is amazing!! It was super clean and cozy. I was almost disappointed when I saw the romance section was only one little area, but there were so many good picks! Although the bookstore is rather small, there is a huge variety of genres.

The store was busy when we were there, but it was a chilly, rainy day. A good selection was available even though the store is small. My teen girls were each able to find books they were interested in as well (horror, YA).

Quaint local bookstore in historic Corolla Village. We always visit this store a few times when visiting the OBX. Great place to browse and pick up a great read for the beach.

The Island book store is a gem hidden in Corolla. The store itself is quiet, tidy with a welcoming atmosphere. They had a ton of new releases and a ton of books, old and new for any avid beach reader. I can t wait to go back next summer.

Cute little bookstore nestled away in the backstreets of Corolla. They have a great selection of books from beach reads, to history books, and even the Sibley guide to birds! Prices are fair and it's worth a visit if you need a book for the beach!

If you love books this is a little piece of heaven. Two story cottage style shop. Diverse and eclectic offerings of all sorts, plus nice extras like calenders, cards, puzzles, and more. A really nice selection of local interest books too. They are browser friendly with seats mixed about. My teen was thrilled with this more than any other stop on our vacation. Friendly staff, but not hovering, yay!

Our annual Outer Banks beach trip always starts with a stop to the quaint and tranquil Island Book Store in Corolla. The location is picturesque and the service is impeccable.The staff and are friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help. It is such a great place to kick-off vacation and find the perfect beach read for the week. I cannot recommend this spot enough!
