This job was expected to be well over 1k. 3 calipers, fluids, brakes and rotors were about 1250 ~ 1350 on average. The manager spoke with me and convinced me to inspect before I spend. As it turns out the brakes were grinding due to the driver not being aware of when to change the brakes. (Not me). I was also educated on how to properly handle self brake jobs and the importance of lathing the rotor before applying another set. Also I was educated about when calipers should be replaced and cheaper options than complete replacing. My car was returned with no additional grease or grime added. Brakes service was 429.99 in line with range typically paid. Fluids in similar ranges. Not cheapest, not most expensive. Older cars seen worked on, meaning trusted by common man.Pros: Education, saved money, bullets on carfax for car value. Does not charge others extra for people using visa rewards cards on their service. Only applies charges if you use one. Uses pressure to clean radiator. Will not do it if radiator is built where it can't handle it. Despite being a mechanic is hard work, you wouldn't think that they hated doing it....Cons: The was a paper protector at the bottom of where the driver seats, not really a con but eh.Results: Will be back for more visits and counsel.

Brought the car in to have the ac compressor replaced as well as the drier and switch. They only replaced the compressor and said that s what was causing our issues. We said okay, we ll trust you. Next day, wouldn t ya know it the issue was still there.Brought the car back and said please just replace the drier and switch like we want. They said okay, and still only fixed a leak that they found. Again we figured we d trust their judgement. Wouldn t ya know it, same issue again.Finally brought it back a third time and they did the drier and switch like asked on our first trip. Air works great now under all conditions. They do good work, just might have to deal with them a little to get what you want done.

Very friendly receptionist and the owner went above and beyond, in my opinion, to ensure everything was taken care of! Not to mention the waiting room decor was very unexpected, but in the best way! Definitely will be going back should the need arise.

Please ask for an estimate before showing up.Service clerk assured me NC charges $30+ for inspections when in reality I have gotten it over the years for around $13, and a family member recently got it for that much too in the same locality (Concord, NC). Also on the receipt it showed that the inspection was $13 and some change very sketchy how they lie about the charges and how a change of oil and inspection turned out to be $136+Also, my vehicle always gets about a charge for oil change of $50 or so, but here they charged $80+ for synthetic.The staff is really nice and helpful but not very transparent with pricing, etc.The charge to change the brakes (not full replacement-front only) is about $300+.They are super fast so that could be a plus for some folks and customer service is good; I wanted to cancel the oil change since I know I could get it cheaper but they were already draining it.

After picking up my vehicle from Fair Repair, I can see why this place stays so busy!My vehicle had been running hot and Howard and his staff still took the time to work me in their already busy schedule with no hesitation and fixed my thermostat.I received excellent customer service...They are knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced.Would highly recommend!

After taking my vehicle into this location I would not go back. I spent $600 to get a vibration that was going on with my car fixed, and was told by the owner himself he was 90% certain it was fixed. He also said that he did not check one of the other components because he was certain that once he replace would fix the issue. He never even test drove it until I got there to pick up the car. So when we test drove it together we both agreed they were still a noticeable vibration. Their labor rates are very high, they did not call me so let me know how much it would be, nor did they call me to keep me updated. I had to initiate all phone calls myself. Even after talking with the owner on the phone he was rude and disrespectful and did not even apologize until after the phone call was nearly over.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Let me start by saying I prefer small businesses because they tend to care more than big business chains, in my experience. I found this place in Google. Looked at the reviews and decided to give it a shot. I m so glad I did. The issues were the brakes, gotta have those. The entire process spanned a few weeks (cuz funds were tight) but the staff here were absolutely amazing. From my first visit, when Howard drove me home and picked me back up cuz he heard me mention paying for a Lyft. To my last visit, when Howard went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle was ready for a road trip that was EXTREMELY important to me. I ve had a lot of cars and I ve been to a lot of auto repair shops over the years, but never have I felt like I mattered as much as I did here. The pricing was more than fair. The service was amazing and extremely thorough. I will definitely be back (not for a good long while though). Thank you to every one at Fair Repair Auto Care for making me feel valued! I've been coming to Fair Repair for a couple of years now and I will continue to be a faithful client because they are exactly what their name states FAIR. I am so grateful for their honesty and help, when I've needed a ride back home because my car won't be ready for hours, they've provided that. When waiting for the car to be worked on they've provided us with a cold beverage while we wait but mostly because they offer the best prices and car advice to date. I am grateful for small businesses like these. 100% recommendation! No place is perfect but they are GOOD PEOPLE at the heart of what they do.

I was in desperate need of getting my car fixed. Nobody could figure it out. I found Fair Repair Auto. When I explained what was going on Howard had a pretty good idea of what it was. He was able to get me in that day and he worked his magic and I was back on the road within no time. Problem solved. Howard and his staff is awesome. Made me feel like family.

Nothing fair about this auto repair. Went in for a diagnosis - They do work without providing an estimate or calling you for permission on repairs. $230 diagnostic fee; when questioned after the fact, they say it s posted in the lobby only descriptions here no pricing. $200 an hour labor cost with a double priced part. Long story short, needed an ignition coil replaced and got a call back a day later saying my car is ready, along with a $560 (unquoted) bill. This repair is a 30 minute DIY job tops with a $100 OEM part. If you need more proof - read some of the other lower reviews and look at the way this guy responds red flag unprofessional, over priced and rude staff.

Ever since we ve moved to the Concord area and needed a mechanic, Howard and his staff have always treated my family like family. If I have questions, I always either have them answered within minutes or a call is returned promptly. Their prices justify the name of the business and Howard has saved me thousands as compared to the dealership. I am appreciative of him, Lacey, and Angela! I may not always like going; however, I love it when I leave lol. Be sure to check this treasure trove out. It s worth the trip!

I recently was referred to Fair Repair Auto Care by a mechanic I'd trusted with our vehicles for over 10 years. Not only did Howard quickly diagnose & fix my truck, he inspected my husband's vehicle the same day. Howard and his team has been great! I found them about a year ago and have always had great service so when my car broke down last weekend I had it towed straight to fair care. One repair was fixed but there was another issue later. Howard picked up the car from my house, fixed it the same day, and washed my car! I'm so grateful! I ve been having issues with the check engine light coming on, one thing I did was change the purge valve, but the light came back on. I took it to Fair Repair Auto Care and they fixed it. The radiator hose blew up inside my truck's engine bay in the most inopportune time. I checked out Fair Repair and they came through with flying colors! They were able to fix my issue and get me back on the road. Great and friendly service, knowledgeable, and fair pricing (no pun intended). HONEST sand EFFICIENT. Howard and team are the best! I had to take two cars in on the same day recently. They fixed them within hours, provided a full breakdown and showed me the old and burnt out part. They have also recently been very supportive of an issue we are going through with another car at another shop. I just can t say thank you enough. We will never take our cars anywhere else!!! I'm glad I can tell people about this place. Honestly, I went somewhere else first and got quoted over $500. I took my car to Howard (saw me as soon as i got there with no appointment) here at Fair Repair and he quoted me half of that. He was honest about what my car needed (not what he wanted to sell me) so i can definitely appreciate the honesty. He always stayed in contact when i had questions afterwards. Unfortunately, the part i got replaced failed (because of the part, not the repair) but Howard and his guys towed my car for me, replaced the failed part, and did extra work to make it all match up and beautiful. When my car left his shop, it felt newer than when i got it. This business is the definition of family feels with professional work. Very kid friendly environment. I'm getting my oil changes here from now on, too. Plus the waiting room has snacks and drinks. Thanks you guys!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

I recently purchased a car and wanted an unbiased opinion to see if it was in good shape. I decided to go here because of the good reviews and I'm happy I did. They were able to get me in that day and when I got there, they were on time. The owner was extremely nice and very knowledgeable. I mentioned I didn't know much about cars (as I'm sure he could tell when my eyes would glaze over) so he broke everything down and explained it to me without making me feel dumb. Simply just educating someone else. I'll definitely be back for future car services.

I am truly BLESSED beyond measure how hard Fair Repair Auto Care worked to get my van up and running again. OUTSTANDING customer service with genuine care for customers and the services they provide. Big THANK YOU to Howard Tiller and Keith who diligently and tirelessly worked on my van. It was no small feat for sure! They provided updates and pictures of progress and communicated any problems they encountered promptly.So THANKFUL and BLESSED for the work they did on my van. Upon my arrival the waiting room was very clean, plenty of seating and they offer free coffee. I was immediately greated by the owner Howard who was extremely professional and tended to my needs quickly. He asked me various questions about my vehicle trying to pinpoint the problem. The employees all had their uniforms on and his staff was very professional and friendly. To my surprise the shop was clean, organized and the restroom was very clean. Once Howard ran diagnostics on my vehicle he let me know the problem and the cost to repair. Fair Repair isn't out to price gouge the customer which is unheard of today. My overall experience at Fair Repair was exceptional and I would highly recommend this business to my family & friends.

A friend pointed me to Fair Repair Auto Care about two years ago, and I will never go elsewhere for my mechanical needs! They hard very great Customer service! I loved the energy when talking to the employees and the owner. The lobby setup was great also with all the decoration and snacks! I recommend coming here to get your car worked on or just to get the simplest thing like a state inspection. You guys are amazing!!!!

Update: My husband's other vehicle, a Honda piolet started spraying out oil, we took it by here and wonderful service again!!! So pleased.Wonderful place to trust with any mechanical needs. Went to them a while back and was a phenomenal experience. Van broke recently and didnt even have to second think. We knew we were taking it here. Nice to have somewhere you can trust! This is the only place I will take my vehicle. They are great! The service is excellent. They are really the best. I know that they will give me an honest assessment of what needs to be done and when it needs done. The prices are great! They really do treat you like family. Fair is a big plus for this place. The owner he is so nice and very responsible. Everyone that works there that we spoke to were very nice. Called and got a appointment to come in same day. If you need work done at a fair price this is the place to come. Most definitely will be going back when anything else is needed.
