Takes way too long. I will not be coming back to Woodie's. Nice customer lounge, get comfortable, you will be waiting a long time. Took them 3 and a half hours to inspect my work van and change one headlight. They had my van for an hour and a half before they told me the headlight needed to be changed, which added another 2 hours to the whole ordeal? Staff is friendly, and the facility is nice and clean, with complimentary snacks and TV in the lounge. I simply can't afford to waste that much time waiting for such a basic service. Maybe you can...

My mother took her car here to have it serviced. Before we came to Charlotte she always went to the dealership but it was a little far. Trying woodies turned out to be the worst idea ever. They overcharged (more than the dealership in Delaware), literally took the entire day (we came to pick up the vehicle at closing time and still had to wait), but worst of all the tech drove out of the garage and there was obvious DAMAGE that was not there before. The guy acted like he didn't know it was there but when you hit something you can hear it or feel it so someone had to know. He did apologize since we noticed it. He may been counting my Mom not seeing it. Then he said he will have his manager call to take care of it. That never happened so we went back up there and spoke to him in person. He said they work with a shop in Pineville that would fix it. We were not given the option to pick a shop of our own. That shop ended up being about 35 minutes away. So we got an estimate and never heard anything. I called on behalf of my mother and said they should refund at least part of what she paid for the service due to the time wasted, gas spent driving back and forth to Pineville 3x, and inconvenience. I also missed some time at work due to this. The car was taken to Woodies to make it better and it was given back damaged. The manager was nonchalant like this was a normal everyday occurrence. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

The other day, I experienced a flat tire. The service advisor and the technician demonstrated professionalism to the 10th power. Each addressed all of my questions and concerns. They showed such kindness while assisting me, and they went beyond the call of duty.

Worst nightmare of a traveller: something falling off the bottom frame of the car during a 2,500 km road trip. Called from the highway and got an immediate and surprising "sure bring it in for a look." Quick diagnosis and explanation, and offered a very fair price, no advantage at all taken of me by my desperate situation. In this instance it was a quick fix, but even if it was not, offering a quick 5 minute diagnosis saved me from cancelling the trip or a later accident on the road. Highly recommended. Thank-you Chris !

I am notorious for waiting until the last minute to have my state inspection done and I typically go to another facility but they were completely booked. I called Woodies, and a nice young man spoke with me and told me they could get me in almost immediately. The total wait time was about 45 minutes to an hour but the customer service was excellent. I can't remember the young man's name that I had the pleasure of speaking and interacting with but he was a younger African-American male with short dreads. I definitely plan to come back for next year's inspection.

It was the day before Thanksgiving 2023. This was my second time giving Woodie's a try. This time I made my requests clear, to get confirmation. I wanted my oil changed, my fluids topped off, and a quote for a set of 4 tires. The staff assured me they would do all that I asked. It took them about 2.5 hrs before they called to let me know my car was done. I noticed there was no mention of the quote for 4 tires, and nothing attached to my paperwork once I got in my car. I immediately got on the highway. About 10 minutes into my drive my "check coolant levels" light came back on, so that wasn't topped off. 30 minutes into my drive I try to clean my windshield, still no washer fluid came out. These were low when I took my car to woodies for my oil change before this one. Now, I have to question are they even changing my oil? Both times I went to Woodies the guys at the counter were very kind and knowledgeable. But Im starting to believe that woodies just doesn't like me or my car because once it goes back, nothing I'm promised that comes with the point inspection, ever happens.

Dropped car off at 10:30am. Didn't get feedback until 1pm. Had told srv rep I had a coolant leak and about where. Diagnostic fee was an outrageous $150. An unbelievable $350 for a new hose and clamp.

Recently moved to Charlotte NC and found this place as i need car inspection. They're awesome! Respectful, friendly, and tell you all that's needed - pricing is fair. They even provide Shuttle Services! This is 2nd year and will continue to go.

Be insanely cautious of this place. My cars battery died while I was in a business trip in NC. They said they could help me out and seemed very nice over the phone - after inspection (which they didn t quote pricing), they said both the brakes and the battery needed to be replaced. I said I would probably be fine with the battery but not the breaks bc they seemed fine before. They never gave me a quote on pricing and went ahead and did the work on my car while I was at work without my knowledge. Called me and said I owed them over $740 for a BATTERY. The last time I got my battery replaced it was $400 (labor included). This was insane - there is literally a law stating that if the work is over $350, they must quote you on pricing and receive your signature before doing the work. I left work to go to this store and figure out why they would think that was okay and the guy acted aggressive and rude until I brought the law up and he finally backed down but still charged me $570 . I thought that he was definitely trying to pull a fast one so I got my car checked at my regular dealership back home turns out my brakes were completely fine and this place was just trying to scam me even more. Definitely do not recommend.

Service was good and people were very friendly. It just took hours and hours for an oil change. I dropped my car off at 11am (with an appointment) and it wasn't done until basically 3pm.

Three week update: I was able to take my vehicle to a competent technician and have all of the damage that woodies did to my vehicle repaired. Where to begin . Upon diagnosis from a competent technician I was informed that my passenger side rear wheel bearing was never replaced. Woodies charged me for replacing two bearings, which they did not. Which is (as of the last time I checked) fraudulent business. Additionally the seal that began leaking started to leak because it was improperly installed (picture shown below). Woodies left over a 1/8 gap between the seal and the axle housing on both sides of my vehicle. There should be no gap hence the leak. Additionally I was informed that woodies sealed my differential improperly which resulted in the leak around the differential. My final note being this, woodies took 3 weeks to repair my vehicle during which they lied to me as well as damaged my vehicle, they never returned my call or responded to this review. Which shows me they truly do not have any interest in making this right and have no problem with taking advantage of customers. I would also like to note that the job woodies spent 3 weeks on took a competent technician 4 hours to do.Two week update: Since picking up my truck two weeks ago, the drivers side seal that was installed by woodies has failed causing a massive gear oil leak, additionally the seal that was installed on the differential has completely failed around 3 bolts. Photos below. In summary, they had my vehicle for over three weeks for a 5 hour repair, tried to use the wrong parts, couldn t give me a clear timeline of the works completion and were just generally incompetent as far as the repair goes.I will start this review by saying all of the service advisors are very nice guys. Zach had no problem hopping in the car with me to confirm the issue I was having, and Ed did an awesome job of keeping me updated with what was going on with my vehicle. The price they quoted for the work on my vehicle was very reasonable and they were able to get me in pretty quickly so I had no hesitation about dropping my vehicle off with them. That said this was the worst automotive experience I ve ever had and I hope that no one I know or care about ever uses this location or woodies in general for anything related to their vehicle. I dropped my truck off on July 20th. I was informed that the parts and tools needed to complete the job were delivered to the shop on August 2nd. The two weeks waiting on the parts weren t ideal but that s the state of things in 2022 and I have no issues with that. My nightmare experience occurred after parts were delivered. I was told the work on my vehicle would be completed on August 4th, it wasn t. Then I was told it would be completed on August 5th, it wasn t. Then I was told August 8th, and it wasn t. I stopped by the shop on the morning of August 9th to see if they were actually working on my vehicle because they kept saying they had issues. They most certainly were having issues, because I immediately noticed that they were attempting to use completely wrong parts for my vehicle (photo attached) and I lost another day waiting on them to get the correct parts from the manufacturer that would fit and not a sub par aftermarket piece of junk. All told my truck was at their location for over three weeks for a repair that the manufacturer of my vehicle lists as a 5 hour job. After picking it up and getting it home it was leaking differential fluid from improper gasket installation, and my antilock brake system wiring harness was not reinstalled (see photo). The incompetence that I experienced at this shop is on a scale that I have never seen. I have absolutely zero faith in any of the work they did and I hope that this review keeps someone from going through what I went through with Woodies.

I made an appointment for an oil change and bought a set of tires. I checked the air pressure on the way home, 2 tires were set at 40psi, 1 was at 30psi, and 1 was at 25psi. The mechanics also never bothered to reset the engine oil life or put an oil change sticker on the windshield. The upside to this was the manager, Patrick who was quick to fix everything and apologize.

We were recently stranded at the NC Welcome Center on our way to visit our son and daughter-in-law in the Mallard Creek area of Charlotte. My wife called Woodie's to see if we could possibly have our vehicle towed to their facility since it was close by to our son's home. This took place around 5:30pm on a Friday evening but they said they would be happy to look into servicing our vehicle on Saturday. They had a drop box where we could leave the key and they would be opening at 7am on Saturday. The tow truck delivered the vehicle to their parking lot. We put the key in the drop box and contacted them on Saturday morning around 8am. They told us that the technician that they had planned to have work on our vehicle had called in sick but they were going to have another technician look at it. My wife explained that we were just visiting our family for the weekend and really needed to get back home on Sunday if at all possible. They told her they would do their best to have it back to us by that evening. They delivered on their promise and contacted us by early afternoon with the diagnosis. We authorized the ordering of the part and repair. They had it completed by 4pm on Saturday and we were able to pick up the vehicle and return home on Sunday as planned. We would highly recommend Woodie's. They were professional, friendly and sympathetic to our circumstances.

I was charged $750 for 2 brake pads and 2 rotors. The standard cost for this is between $250-$300 for the exact work at any credible mechanic. I felt extremely taken advantage of and heavily disappointed at the way they treat their customers. Save yourself some money and stress and go anywhere else.

I went into Woodie s the uptown location for its great reviews but then they mentioned how there s a location close to me so we decided to go to this Woodies location. I wish I had read the reviews for this location before I left my car here. They charged us so much money, which I m okay with if my car is all fixed. But a few days later after we get our car back there was this really bad noise coming from the wheel so we had to tow the car and after they got a look at it they said a screw was gone and it must have gotten unscrewed by itself. I really didn t understand how a screw could unscrew itself. They said how they never worked in that area but I know they performed a diagnostic before, I m 100% sure it was them. It hasn t even been a month since we got our a/c fixed and now it s not blowing out cold air like it used to. We just are spending too many days getting our car fixed here and this is my primary vehicle. I m so frustrated with the customer service and just overall disappointed with their service. I just want to be done with them and never go back.

Been going to Mallard Crossing for about 2 years and feel as though they have always treated me right.Service does take a while but if you live nearby they have a shuttle that can drop you off and pick you up afterwards. So it's convenient for me.I'm always skeptical of mechanics and their prices but honestly I feel like you get what you pay for here. Which is good service. They also keep me informed on areas of concern that may need attention down the line but never push hard to upsell. Great for someone trying to keep your vehicle tip top and plan ahead for bigger maintenance items.End if the day they are convenient for me and my car always seems to be running better after I pick it up.

My fingers are still crossed hoping the quality of work far exceeds the continued lack of communication provided during the entire time my car was held in the shop for repairs. No surprise as my concerns were articulated several times but, unfortunately, did not seem to make any difference. Upon picking up the car initial signs (although resolved while I waited even longer) were troubling eg....check engine light had to be resolved. Arriving home noticed bolts and parts of tools (ratched heads) left in and on my car (by windshield wipers). All genuinely friendly but, even though there were repeated acknowledgements and apologies, my expectations clearly were not met.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Huge waste of time and buyer beware. Dropped vehicle off the day before the appointment, but they did not even look at the vehicle until two days AFTER the scheduled appointment. Staff gave wild excuses as to why the vehicle wasn't even looked at yet every morning and evening when I called in. Staff lost vehicle keys accounting for one of those extra days. Gave up and told them to have the vehicle ready for pickup. Vehicle was not ready for pickup upon arrival and the staff instead provided an estimate for repairs. We insisted on taking the vehicle elsewhere and the estimate was more than double what we eventually paid elsewhere for the repair. Not a good experience.

I wish I could give them 100 stars. I came in today very apprehensive & skeptical because I was about to purchase a car. (I m a young woman with very little knowledge on cars and very little trust in car-people because of my naivety around this topic) I asked them to evaluate it & make sure that the car didn t have any unseen issues. They told me it would be $115 & take about 45 minutes. Within 10 minutes they had explained everything to me in laymen s terms and continued to come to the front to walk me through their findings, the issues, their advice, everything. They truly had my best interest at the top of their priorities and didn t even charge me for my appointment. They also invited the man I was with to the back of the shop to ensure everybody was on the same page and that I was taken care of. They were some of the most personable, genuine, and knowledgeable people I had ever met. They were also funny. If I won the lottery I would literally give them so much of my money. They genuinely made my entire week and I have never felt more understood, prioritized, and cared for by a group of mechanics ever in my life. I wish I could do more for them but I don t have the resources right now. I called 3 of my friends, my boss, my sister, mom and dad the second I left to tell them all how grateful I was for these people and how amazing my experience was. Thank you guys. U guys deserve a raise for real.

Some of the BEST customer I ve ever experienced period. Like, wow. I felt safe, welcomed, and they genuinely cared my vehicle and me as a customer too! They provided snacks and a incredibly comfy waiting area. Three different staff members checked in on me while I was waiting. Once my inspection was done, someone came to give me a full report on my car. It was upselling I m sure, but I appreciate the non-aggressive way they did it. They genuinely were recommending products and services that I actually needed! I plan to visit Woodie s for all of my car services moving forward. Simply amazing.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Had an appointment for an inspection, told me 40-60mins. Didn't look at it until 3.5 hours later. Wish they would've upheld their appointments or at least warned me it would be 3+ hours so I could act accordingly. Staff at the shop was very nice
