If you are in a bind they do decent work quickly. 3 stars because they upcharged me like crazy on the parts and misquoted me over the phone leading to a drastically bigger bill than I anticipated. Also didn t bother to clean off the affected area after replacing the parts.Will, the service manager, was communicative and polite throughout the process. Would bring my car here again if I desperately needed service, just beware you ll pay the price $$$

Actually wasn t pleased to hear that you have to drop off vehicle for vehicle inspection.and I arrived at 9.00am in the morning. The front desk clerk said if I leave my vehicle it would be ready at lunchtime.. Being a retired vehicle inspector of 40 years could not imagine the logic of taking 3hours to complete a vehicle auto inspection..I can not give a good review for this business on Arrowood ave. The location is beside the Waffle House and next to Walgreens..The website did not mention an appointment was needed for auto inspection thanks in advance for reading this review sincerely James Miller retired vehicle inspector

I recently started using Woodie's for our small fleet repair needs, and the only disappointment I have experienced, is that I hadn't switched to them sooner. What an amazing service experience, great customer care, and quick, reliable auto service. Great job guys!

Traveling with family from PA and got a nail in a tire. Called and spoke to Jeff- he was super nice and luckily was able to get us in right away. They patched our tire very quickly and were so kind with pricing, despite our desperation. The young man that repaired our tire was very nice and professional. Stand up employees, great service. If we lived in the area, we d be back!

Woodys man..... They have always been a favorite. From our fleet vehicles to some of my classic cars, I really trust them in every respect. They combine the small shop attention to the corporate fast service. Love these guys. Don't hesitate on them.

I was hopeful about this place because I'm a single woman without a support system who lives very close to this shop. Recently, I had a vehicle issue, which is always scary when it's just you in a city without solid public transportation systems. I had it jumped and drove it there, but was told I'd have to pay $50 for a diagnostics test. Red flag. There are so many places that do that for free. If I was someone who was obviously wealthy, sure. However, I'm not. But really it was the attitude I saw after I said I think I'll go to O Reilly to get it diagnosed and then come back for the work.I'm not an idiot so please don't treat me like one or give me an attitude for making the best decision for myself. Don't try to take advantage of me.

Forces you to pay $120 for their diagnostic even if you know the issue with your car! Don t even think about this place as an option.

Brought my vehicle in and Will took care of me! Got me in and out quickly for service before a vacation and was even able to take care of some corrosion on my battery to prevent future issues! Love this store and love the team there!

Being a young female I ve been taken advantage of at just about every repair shop I go to. Woodie s (south blvd) has been nothing but welcoming and relaxing. Billy was working at the front desk and made my rough day pleasurable. He is very nice and makes sure to handle all of your worries in a calm and positive manner. They took my car for a test run and did a free inspection and figured out right away what my problem was. Billy was the mechanic working on my car and did an amazing job! I ve never felt so comfortable at a repair shop until now! This place definitely has my business from here on out. 10/10 would recommend!! Prices are reasonable..you get what you pay for! Thank you for bringing some sunshine into a hard time with my vehicle! They also have a shuttle that can take you anywhere you need to go while your car is getting worked on which is something I have yet to come across. There waiting area is very cozy and they even have free snacks and drinks if you choose to wait.

I was in need of a vehicle state inspection. I was greeted with a very pleasant staff person who was able to accommodate my scheduling needs. While waiting they offered a wait area that was spacious, clean and provided snacks and beverages. Staff that happened to pass through the wait room also greeted me and made sure I knew to help myself to their complimentary snakes/drinks. Upon leaving they provided estimates on any findings I should be aware of discovered during the inspection. I would definitely return for vehicle services.

These people are great. They care about customer service. Commutation is clear, kind and respectful. They are beyond helpful. I brought in a unique issue with my campervan there and I just felt super comfortable having them address it. Cool place. Nice waiting room too. I worked remotely there while waiting and was very happy and had all my needs met.

Friendly and considerate. I did have to replace my battery two weeks later, which was in the original estimate but wasn't performed. Still, they were otherwise thorough and accommodated me while on vacation. I trust them over other places.

I had a rotation and balance done at woodies. After leaving noticed it didn't feel like my tires were in balance.I looked at the wheels and all four tires had brand new balancing weights on them but they still felt out of balance. I drove the vehicle back to woodies and they inspected the front right tire. Once on the balancing machine the tire showed to be "counter-balanced" and out of balance by a quarter ounce on one side. The lady balanced it correctly and I recommended that she check the other three tires. She refused to check them and stated they were in balance. After leaving the third time I could tell the tires were still not in balance and immediately went to discount tire where I had to pay for a new balance. We found two other tires that were out of balance. One was out of balance by a half ounce and the other by a quarter ounce. Then discount tire broke my brand new key fob. The following day I contacted woodies and they agreed to issue a refund but said I had to physically bring them my credit card to do so. I went back and gave them the card to issue the refund. They issued the refund and I left peacefully. That evening the store manager called and said they had made a mistake on the refund and actually charged me again. So I had to go back another time and they claimed the issued the refunds for both charges.(im still waiting to see) so a simple tire rotation and balance at this company cost me a total of 6 trips to two different tire shops and a broken key fob. If you use them make sure they do your work correctly.Services: Tire rotations, Auto maintenance

Manager has always been super unhelpful. I ve been there 4 times, and every time the manager has failed to solve simple problems due to laziness. Manager never seems like he is trying to get business, quite the opposite as I always am treated as a burden rather than a customer. Definitely not a place that is looking to help you out unless you are going to fork over a bunch of money.Service: Auto engine tuning

Outstanding customer service and completed multiple items under the promised time (~3.5 hours: brakes, rotors, brake fluid flush, fluids, oil change, tire rotate and re-balance, inspection, standard 75k mile stuff etc.). Had a minor clicking issue afterwards that they promptly resolved with many apologies, accommodations, and speed.The short of it, amazing service and staff, and they made a lifelong customer in a very short amount of time. Highly recommend.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

It is Saturday afternoon before the 2018 Labor Day Holiday (today). I volunteer at the Humane Society of Charlotte and when I got ready to leave at 2:45pm, my car wouldn't start. I called Chris at the Woodies on South Blvd. He sent Rick who was able to jump start my battery (which had died without warning) and then led me back to their location where he stayed late, replaced my battery and checked my alternator to ensure their were no problems. They had me back on the road in 30 minutes. Although they were in the process of closing for the long weekend, they helped me out tremendously and I am very grateful. They were both so pleasant, professional and accommodating and I am very appreciative of how they both handled my issues. The team at Woodies has been my hero for quite a few years and they were definitely there today when I needed their help!! Thank you Rick and Chris!!

I have been a Woodies South Boulevard customer for 10+ years and those guys never disappointment me. Chris and Jeff are the very best and have helped me many times even by phone. And their technicians are always thorough with their assessments, recommendations and repairs. My most recent visit was for a routine oil change and, since I am currently suffering from a medical issue and have to rely on getting transportation from someone else, Jeff worked with me to schedule an appointment and get me in and out in a narrow window of time and still provide me with excellent service. I do so appreciate all that they do and wouldn't go anywhere else!!

The team here was great I am referencing the Woody s off of Arrowood Road. I had the best experience there John was working with me on my situation and allowed me to pick up my son and get my car back within minutes. The shuttle driver was extremely nice very helpful the writer was prompt and gave the best information I really enjoyed working with them. And this is who work with him the future. Thanks for making my day thanks for allowing me to pick my sons up from school on time.Services: Auto engine tuning, Auto emissions testing, Battery

We were coming in from out of town Friday afternoon. In an effort to help us out so we were not stranded, they diagnosed my car Friday, ordered the part, and had the alternator replaced early the next morning. The shuttle driver even took us to and picked us up from our hotel. We are so thankful for everything they did. Theresa was so helpful. Thank you Woodie s for getting us back on the road so quickly!

Great service. I was traveling in Charlotte from Columbia, SC. Car was running hot...noticed drive belt had broken..it was around 5pm on a Friday...they were closing...said they opened Saturday morning at 7am...I had to be back in Columbia on Saturday by 12 noon...stayed the night in Charlotte..called them around 9 am on Saturday..car was ready by 10 am...I was back in Columbia by 11:30...I would recommend them to anyone...nice folks, great service...they turned a bad experience into a good one..thanks.

Everybody was nice and helpful. They took the time to explain what they were doing and why and it was all done in a very timely manner. I chose to stay and wait while they were working on my car and the waiting room is very quiet, nice and comfortable - a place that you don't mind sitting and waiting. I was able to get work done easily with the WI-FI and quiet atmosphere and they were great about keeping me up to date on how long the wait would be. Will definitely be returning to them for any more of my car needs.

We were heading back to Maryland and our alternator light came on, I called Woodies on McDowell St and Bobby recommended us to the South Blvd location because we were closer to that location and he was certain they could see us that day. He said if they couldn't just call him back and he would do his best to help us. The South Blvd team were just great to us. They welcomed us with that southern hospitality that made you feel welcomed. While waiting in the clean, comfortable waiting area we were offered good snacks and beverages. No beer, but that's ok. The manager said we should be in and out in 1.5 hrs and we were. My husband and I appreciated their excellent customer service and professionalism. When we told our family who lives in Charlotte who would service our vehicle they all gave Woodie's thumbs up!

My mom took her car to be serviced at this location and an employee broke something on her car. When she went to pick up her car it was making a noise it wasn t making before she advised them and they stated it would be over a thousand dollars to fix the additional problem. My sister contacted the General manager and he brought it her attention someone did something to her car and was trying to cover their tracks based off the parts they reordered. The general manager insured her he would have her car correctly fixed and even have her take it to a different location but each time the car was not fixed he even stated he would reimburse her for a rental for the time her car was in the shop due to their mistake. To sum things up there eventually told her they couldn t help her and she was never reimbursed for her rental vehicle. She took her vehicle to dealership of the manufacture and is now aware of the actual damages and will be seeking assistance.

I had a sudden squeaking and grinding coming from my vehicle late at night on a Friday. This was the nearest mechanic shop open early on Saturday. I was so glad that I found them. Lee and the rest of the crew were amazing! They confirmed my suspicion (CV and Hub), and were able to have the vehicle repaired in just a few hours. When I asked about other services that would have increased the cost they even told me that they weren't needed. I will gladly come back if I ever need mechanical work done in the future.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes, Oil change
