Took my truck in for a horrible noise I was hearing in my 2011 Toyota Tacoma anytime I went over bumps. Pete replaced my brakes and mounts and she rides like new! Fair price and didn t feel like I was being taking advantage of. Pete took the time to break everything down for me and explain everything in detail which made feel very comfortable and reassured me he was the right choice for the job! Highly recommended Pete s Auto Service and will be returning for any future car needs.

I was looking for an honest place for an oil change, after having been scammed and disappointed in several quick oil change companies. I was thoroughly impressed with the service, honesty and pricing at Pete's. I don't put a lot of miles on my car and Pete called to tell me that an oil change wasn't necessary. I opted for the oil change, which also included service and tire checks. Pricing was just slightly higher than the quick change places but to me was worth it. I have found a great place to take my car if I ever need service. Five stars!!

I like this place. Pete is an honest guy. Which is not easy to find, in a mechanic. I've been jerked around by all kinds of places, taken advantage of and had to pay ridiculous amounts of money for services that ended up completely destroying a five-year-old car that I had bought new. But with this place? I know I don't have to worry about that. Which is why I keep coming back.

Our experience was fantastic. The shop is the cleanest mechanics garage I have ever seen. Michael, the mechanic at Pete s was awesome! He took such good care of our vehicle and went above and beyond to complete the work and in super fast fashion. He made a list of recommended repairs and the owner Pete walked us through all of it so that we understood what work would be completed. Don t waste your time or money going to a high price dealership where they only know how to change parts. Go see Michael and get your vehicle fixed the right way, by someone who understands how cars work.

Highly highly highly recommend. Pete was unbelievable! He took my 2009 Mitsubishi Eclipse in on short notice with a trip I have coming up this weekend! He was honest and helped me figure out why my "Service Engine Soon" light was on. I will be back to Pete's for future work or service on my vehicle. I called Pete s Auto before I took my 2009 ES 300 Lexus and asked him how much would he charge to swipe out an alternator Pete just informed me to bring my car in. I brought an alternator and brought my car in to Pete auto shop. So after Pete allegedly looked at my car he calls me and informed me it would be $700-$900. If you looked at my car it should have been a direct price given to me. Pete then proceeds to inform my battery is fried and I need a new battery. With the new battery it would cost $1000. I informed Pete I brought the alternator he informed me if my alternator fits. Why would I not buy an alternator that fits my vehicle? I did my research and seen mechanics should only charge you $100-$300 to swipe out an alternator. My boyfriend informed me Pete is beating you in the head. I asked around as well and was informed the same thing from other people. I called Pete and informed him I was getting my car towed from his shop Pete then proceeded to ask me all these questions. Pete was upset because he wasn t going to rob me.Conclusion: I got my car towed from Pete s auto and took it to another shop they charged me $140 to swap out my alternator and it charged my battery so I did not need a new battery like Pete informed me I would. My car was ready that same day and took them a hour work. My car is running fine thank you Jesus . The moral of this true story is do your research before anything. You are entitled to take your vehicle wherever you want to but as for myself I will not be taking my car back to Pete auto service.

Walked in yesterday around 2:00pm to get a diagnostic on an issue I was having with my belts. Pete was the one who helped me figure out the issue and found a way to fit me into his busy day. My car was ready by 5:00pm and running better than ever. Pete is super friendly and the services are super affordable. Pete was phenomenal. He would look at the engine little by little to see what repairs needed to get done, instead of over-diagnosing issues so he could overcharge me. My engine had a whole bunch of problems, and Pete would call me daily to update me on progress and price. In the end, I got the job done for less than half the price than other shops quoted me.Service: Engine repair

I'll be honest: They are NOT the cheapest! However, they still easily earn 5 stars. They are brutally honest with you, and they'll tell you when it's worth the fix or if you need to ditch your ride. They do excellent work, and they've thrown in several freebies for me, as well. If something goes wrong with a repair, they fix it. Hands-down, I would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Pete himself greets you with a smile each time.Update 5/12/23: Pete continues to be the most honest mechanic I've ever met. I just came in for a dead headlight. He went into the garage, did his thing, came back and said no charge: the connection was just loose. He could have easily charged me for a new headlight and I wouldn't have batted an eye. Awesome guy.

Pete's will always have my business. I've been coming to Pete's for almost five years, and with every visit Pete demonstrates that he's both a miracle worker and an honest business owner. His prices are fair and upfront, he warranties his work, and his turnaround times work to fit into my schedule. Pete rocks! He is an Auto Superstar. He's always honest, courteous, and genuinely cares about his customer's needs. He's very considerate of anyone's budget situation and timeline for service completion. He is very experienced and extremely knowledgeable in his scope of practice and really takes the time to explain matters in a simplified manner. He is very responsive and checks in often on his customers. Our family and friends and the surrounding community are very fortunate to have someone with such great integrity and very evident passion for his profession.

I read the great reviews about Pete, who s owned his business for 27 years. I decided to take my son s Volvo to get a new front axle, after a large franchise told me that it needed to be replaced (for more that I felt like was reasonable!)Pete diagnosed that I did not need to replace the axle at all! He fixed a much more inexpensive broken engine mount. Problem solved- noise fixed.I ll be back again!Service: Auto maintenance

I highly recommend this shop. I ve been working with Pete ever since I bought my first Mercedes and my experience has been outstanding. Pete is not only honest and reasonable, he also always delivers on his promises and he doesn t try to sell you what you don t need. Pete's always comes through. You can't beat their quality, price and professionalism. I had gone here for years to fix my car I ve been Pete my trust for YEARSSS. Well this last time I took her he first told me the rim was bent I went found a rim because my rim is a rare size once i got him the rim he tells me there s other problems & he not sure if I d be willing to pay to fix my car???? After telling me this he proceeds to tell me the drop top was slashed while at HIS SHOP & proceeds to tell me if my fault that I had something in the car they wanted ? I ve never Experience something like this & I was totally heart broken still am I am totally in love with my car & if you re in love with yours please find a better trust worthy mechanic. Seeing my drop top ripped really hurt me I have a classic please find better !

This review is long overdue. I met a car dealer at Pete's to have a pre-purchase inspection performed. They inspected the car, which looked beautiful and we were going to buy that day. But Pete took me aside after the car dealer left and warned me not to buy the car and told me numerous reasons why it would be trouble for me down the road. He spent much time "dumbing it down" for me so I really understood the risk to purchasing this car. Very honest folks that spent much much time educating me and preventing me from making a mistake. Thank you Pete for saving us from buying a lemon!!!

Pete is awesome! I just bought a used vehicle and needed tires because mine had horrific dry rot from the car sitting. He and the other mechanics took such good care of us. He told me everything that needed to be fixed. I bought tires, had them balanced and got an alignment for a very affordable price. He also told me everything that was fine with my car as well as things that need to be replaced without any salesman pressure to get it done immediately. Instead he made me feel comfortable with getting the repairs done gradually. Lastly, the price he quoted over the phone was the same price I paid afterwards! I will definitely return here for my repair needs. Thanks you guys!

Pete's Auto Service has taken care of my auto needs for about seven or eight years. I would not take my car to any other Auto Service. The people there are very professional and knowledgeable. They always give you the best service possible at the most reasonable cost. I have recommended them to many of my friends. Pete and his son, Nic make you feel welcome and are very trustworthy. I moved across town from the shop about three years ago, but I always drive back to Pete's when my car needs attention.

I can't say enough great things! Excellent and outstanding service! My vehicles are serviced and drive like new once they are done (and my cars are each over 15yrs old!) They are very thorough and considerate. They let me know exactly what's wrong with my cars and how much it will be before any work gets done. Never a surprise at the end. They also let me know what to anticipate is coming as far as repairs and service for my vehicles so I can plan ahead. I'm never disappointed when I leave there and I love the family feeling of Pete and his son's working together. It makes me feel like a family visit rather than just dropping my car off for service. I will continue to take my cars to Pete's and so should you!!

Just by chance, I was referred to Pete's Auto because my vehicle was misdiagnosed by another shop.They told me that they could not repair my car for that particular issue. The front desk associate from another shop gave me the ultimate referral to Pete's Auto Shop. Not only did they make the right diagnosis for my car, they offered me customer service like no other. With that being said I am a satisfied customer who would rate Pete's Auto better than on a scale from 1-5 the service deserves a 10!

Pete basically performed surgery on my Jeep. He was able to accommodate my desperate need for a last minute repair. My Jeep s brake system was so damaged to the point of no return. I went here for the first time for an oil & filter change. Pete the owner himself took care of me and my car. The place is nice, clean, and neat. Pete was very nice, and informative. He even told me what other repairs my car needs that I did not get done, but need to be done. This is my new car service place to go to now. Just call and make an appointment first. I did'nt know but he still attended to me.

Amazing service! I was out of town and broke down, and these guys took amazing care of my car and me. I couldn't afford full repairs (old hybrid battery) and they took the time to explain the issue and work out a solution that would get me home safely. If I lived in Charlotte I would never go anywhere else! Great, professional, and - most importantly - kind people. I'm glad Pete's Auto Service was there for me.

Would recommend to everyone!! I came In today s for my second oil change with Pete s auto, and was again blown away by their customer service. Not only was my service excellent, I watched them go out of their way to offer to drive another waiting customer home, and to a Dr s appointment while her car was being serviced. In the past at other places I have felt taken advantage of and have been offered services I felt were not needed. At Pete s, I really feel they honestly address all of your concerns, while not trying to pawn other unnecessary parts/services off on you. They genuinely want your car to be safe and in working order. For this and many other reasons, I will continue to come here even though it s a bit of a drive.
