I took my 2016 Jeep Cherokee to get new brakes and have the rotors checked. We ended up needing new brakes and rotors. They told me the price and it was a very fair price so we proceeded. Jeep wanted a lot more! When we went to pick it up, they showed us the rotors so we could see what the problem was which was very helpful! He new the car had been up north due to the salt corrosion. I also had an oil change which was fairly priced. We took a chance with Nick's Auto Repair and I'm so glad we did! We will be taking our vehicles here instead of the dealerships from now on. Highly recommend them!

We went to nicks after being told we needed a part replaced by another mechanic and were quoted significantly less here. When dropping my car off, we were told that it was very rare to have this certain part replaced on our car. He recommended they do there own diagnostic before proceeding. Thankfully they did and ended up saving us a lot of money.They were quick and great at communicating and keeping us up to date. I will be back.

I've been a customer of this shop for over 10 years now. Yesterday my Honda Accord, which suddenly it lost all power and stalled in middle of the main road, was towed here. Jimmy is the MOST skilled and honest man on earth. He found no errors with the diagnostic scanner, turned the car on without battery jumped and drove the car twice in two days to ensure there were no problems before he called me back to pick up my car, AND WITH NO CHARGE TOO! Jimmy at Nick's Auto Repair is fantastic. Honest, responsive, quality work too. Prices are reasonable and always upfront about costs before work begins. I have been there at least a dozen times and most recently to have head gasket repair on a 2002 Subaru Outback. Had a complicated repair involving some suspension damage. Had been turned down by one mechanic shop and 2 body shops. Nick's fixed it for a great price and quicker than expected. Will definitely return.

Quality work from an honest shop. I always feel like Nick's takes great care of my vehicles and ensures they get the maintenance they need. Couldn't recommend a more trustworthy shop!

They did some repair for my truck and 1999 Lexus RX 300 in the past. I will never take my car to another shop. It's hard to find honest mechanic in Charlotte areas.

Highly recommend Nick's. A good honest mechanic shop that have talked me out unnecessary repairs suggested by others. The best mechanic I've been to in Charlotte by far.

Was visiting from Greensboro and brake light on the dash came on. Pulled into this shop and they were kind enough to find the problem (leaking brake fluid) and fill up my fluid. And free of charge! I was able to get back to Greensboro without issue. If I live in Charlotte, I would come to this shop for all my car needs. They were friendly and fast.

I've used Nick's Auto Repair since I moved to Charlotte in 2018. Nothing but honest, truly kind, and talented staff. I've never been upcharged or sold something I didn't need and they can do maintenance for a fraction of the cost of a dealership or Firestone. They fully have my trust and I will only let Nick's Auto work on my car! Cannot recommend enough!!

Last week I had to leave my car in an unfamiliar city with a mechanic for repairs. This was the second incident my car had issues, and the first mechanic took advantage of the fact that I was in desperate need.Nick s Auto Repair was the most professional, honest mechanic I ve ever encountered in a long time. I explained my schedule and they were super accommodating. When I came to pick up the car, they advised me of a few minor preventative maintenance work that could be useful and gave me an estimate that s less than what s listed on @kbb_com. Family owned, Nick actually was working on a vehicle when @uber dropped me off and he came in and personally thanked me for my business before I left. His office manager, Jimmy was so thorough in following up with me, which is a big deal. If you re in the Charlotte area and need service, give them a call

1st post was in 2019: my car was having issues on a Sunday afternoon, so I showed up to Nick's at 8am on a Monday morning w/o an appointment. they took me in and had my car ready the same day. few weeks later, car is running great. would recommend to anyonefollow up 4/19/24 took my same car to Nick's this morning thinking it was leaking coolant and I was scared to think it was going to be a major costly repair, there was a puddle underneath my car the previous night and my coolant was an inch below the line. Jimmy spent his time taking my car in the next morning after the problem, think he did a pressure test, topped it off with coolant, and assured me there's no issues with the car it was just some water dripping. He charged me nothing and there is no way I can be more grateful to Jimmy and Nick's Auto Repair. Thank you Jimmy!

Been stumped on an electrical issue in my Cadillac for weeks.Had it towed to nicks preparing to pay thousands (if they could even figure out the issue ) 24 hrs and less than 500bucks later, I drove it home!! So awesome! Thanks jimmy!

I can't believe our good fortune that we have Nick's Auto Repair in our neighborhood. I've tried a few other places with our results. Then...Last week I took my 10 yr old car in for service. As I told Jimmy, I wanted to fix the exhaust rattle and the rear bearing that's starting to go. All so I can give the car to my daughter. Jimmy called back a while later with an estimate (totally reasonable pricing). But he also had some advice for me: if it were his (rusty old) car and his daughter, he'd save the $$$ from this repair, sell this car and buy his daughter a new or used car in better condition. Now that's putting the customer first! Thanks Jimmy and I'll be back!

First if all, they always have a ton of cars being worked on, so they must have a great reputation. I also heard many great things about Nick's, and being new to the area do not have a trusted mechanic yet. That all changed when I got my brake pads replaced here. I had an honest experience with mechanic, didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of at all, and didn't feel any up sale pressure at all. Nick's will be my go to place from now on!

Nick's Auto is hands down the best repair shop I have ever experienced. Family owned, reliable and honest. They have helped maintain all my cars from the 2000+ and a bronco from 1976. Jimmy is the man!

Truly can not recommend Nick's highly enough. They are the most honest people and do fantastic, quick work. Their prices are unmatched and they really take care of their customers. As a young female I have always felt incredibly respected and never unnecessarily up-sold on services. If you need a mechanic you can trust, these are your guys.10 stars

I have been coming to Nick's Auto Repair for a few years now, but I doubt I will be any longer. The guy is little grumpy, but that's not a big deal. The big deal is that when you schedule your oil change two weeks in advance, he tells you to bring your car "first thing in the morning" and leave the car with him for the whole day, what he doesn't tell you is that his "first thing in the morning" is between 8 and 9am and if it's a little later than 9, he's going to give your slot away. I think he's a little spoiled with a lot of business coming his way here in Plaza Midwood, so I'm going to make it easier for him and take my business elsewhere.Services: Brakes, Oil change

I ve had nothing but great experiences at Nick s Auto Repair! As a young woman who doesn t know much about cars, I m confident this business is honest and fair. Some anecdotes: At my first visit, I was told nothing was actually wrong with my car (it was making noises because it was rusty lol), and I wasn t charged anything. Later, when that car was totaled (not my fault!!) and I was shopping for another one, I called Nick s, and he gave me some helpful advice on buying a used car. At my most recent visit, they not only squeezed me in day-of, not only took care of what I came in for, but also buffed out a dent I had in my back bumper. This was completely unexpected, and not only was I not charged for this extra work, but they never even mentioned it I didn t know until they pulled my car around! I would recommend this shop to anyone in Charlotte.

One of the worst things about moving to a new town is finding an auto mechanic that does outstanding work for a reasonable price and is completely honest. If you're new to Charlotte or tired of being gouged by your current service provider, Nick's IS the place for you!While we have lived in Charlotte 20 years, our mechanic retired a few years ago and thank goodness we found Nick's. I have an older model import that has required a lot of maintenance and am always pleased with their work, turnaround time and candid, no-nonsense approach. Most recently, Jimmy saved us upwards of $700 by finding a used electronic part vs. the new part install.Words can hardly convey how much I appreciate Jimmy and the team at Nick's Auto Repair. Thanks guys!

When my car died on my way to a short trip to Charlotte from OBX, I had it towed to Nicks. They were able to fit the repair in and send me on my way home in just 2 days. Jimmy was professional, and went over options before tackling the repair. It was done right and that s the most important part for me! Highly recommend this place for any auto repairs! If you want an honest quality repair shop - and who doesn t? - go to Nick s. I m a smart woman, but let s just say cars are not my forte. Jimmy was honest, quick and saved me money I know most other shops would have grabbed up - one place even tried. I really cannot say enough good things about Nick s Car Repair - the reviews are as good as they seem. Don t go elsewhere! Highly HIGHLY recommend Nick's autoshop. Jimmy helped me with the replacement of my timing belt in my Honda and also noticed a leak in my windshield wiper tube (which I JUST had replaced by a different shop). The price was so reasonable / affordable. I was also having radio problems and Jimmy let me swing by and just check it out briefly no additional cost.Really appreciate this place! Will be my go to place. Thanks, Jimmy!!
