Great car buying experience with Rodney and Eddie made it seamless. Definitely buy here.Rodney was great however 45 days later. I still do not have my registration and Navy Federal is emailing me regarding the title. Eduardo in finance is not responsive to emails. I agree with the other reviewer will sell you warranty for great reviews. Highly disappointed

I've dealt with numerous car dealerships and salespeople over the years, but my experience with Johnson Volvo, particularly with our salesman Nick, surpassed them all! I can't emphasize enough how fantastic our experience was. From the moment I stepped through the door until the delivery of my car, every interaction was with genuinely kind and knowledgeable individuals. Nick truly went the extra mile to locate the perfect car for us and secure the most outstanding deal possible. I initially felt like it was too good to be true, but Johnson Volvo and Nick proved otherwise. Highly recommended!

What an easy and pleasant experience. I am a returning Volvo customer because of the car number one. But Johnson Volvo just made the process a pleasure. Nick my salesman, Julie finalizing all the paperwork and Frank finalizing the numbers should all be commended by Volvo. It is because of them that makes Volvo who they are. They give you a five star treatment from beginning to end. Thank you

Johnson had a used Volvo we were interested in, upon visit we were quickly introduced to a sales person, knew going in the exact cars we were interested in, one ended up being sold, so we looked at the other, the sales person quickly arranged for a test drive an let us look through the car. As we just recently started looking, and told the sales person, they were not pushy and we ended up not purchasing that day. I sent the sales person an email thanking them and letting them know we really liked the car, I asked for their best out the door price, and it ended up being better than I could get anywhere else for the other cars we were looking at. So ultimately we purchased the car which was a very quick and smooth process, thanks to the sales person. Thanks Rodney!

I highly recommend Johnson Volvo of Charlotte. What an amazing transformation! The dealership is absolutely stunning. Everyone at Johnson treats me like family when I walk through the door. I got my car serviced here. They approach you as soon as you drive up. The waiting area was very comfortable and the wait time was quicker than I expected. My car came back nice and clean. My service advisor Benjamin was really friendly, too. The whole process was easy.

Absolute waste of time. I brought my car to the dealership to fix a nail in the tire, and while the vehicle was there run a front to back inspection (since I did not buy it from the dealership). I should have known the experience would be unproductive when the service representative texted me back with costs on an cabin air filter, air filter and brake flush but never mentioned the tire.To make a long story short, after bringing the vehicle 2 different times, I left with 3 fresh plugs in 3 of the 4 tires. I originally brought it to them for one. I was never informed that the other 2 had problems until I asked them why there were 2 unauthorized plugs in my other tires.To finalize my discontent, I received an City Safety error message. The dealership told me it had to do with the gear shaft, since I told them I spilled a smoothie in the area. They charged me for a system reset and the error message returned 5 miles after driving off the lot.Overall...Horrible experience!! I have since gotten my tires fixed at BJs Tire dept. The City Safety message was due to my front camera needing to be recalibrated. It was fixed by Mobile Pro Auto Glass for a great price. I would recommend these businesses versus the dealership.Do not waste your time or money with this dealership.Update: Lauren Herrholz reached out to me multiple times and was very nice in hearing and addressing my concerns. Although, I am still hesitant on ever getting service at this dealership, Lauren went above and beyond and it was much appreciated. If she could fix my car, I would bring it to her instead. Thank you for your service Lauren!

Called with urgency, because of a flat tire and no key for my wheel lock. Holly got me calm and to Todd in parts. He gave his best advice and sent me to Warren in service. The service experience was exceptional! Drove in the bay, with no appt, was given some options and a time service would be completed. Left another satisfied customer. Thanks for meeting me at my need! May change my Volvo service provider because of my first impression.

Bought a 24 xc40. Paid in full plus warranty. That pissed em off up front. First service took 4 weeks of scheduling. Then finally day of valet service. Told they don't start that early. I'm confused....... They made the appointment........ then 2 days of nobody but Kelly answered phone. Then told that no way to adjust headlights. At 55 mph. There's 3 seconds of head lights in front of car. Plus a dark spot in drivers side headlight. My first xc40 I bought in japan. My 2 xc90s here. After treatment from this dealership. I would never buy another car there. No customer service AT ALL.

My experience here was top notch. From the moment my husband and I walked in the door, we were greeted immediately by Frederick.When it came time for financial paperwork, Steven made the process easy. He answered any questions we had, and explained - with visuals, thank you! - what each concept was. This proved helpful with knowing the right financial decisions were being made.I would definitely recommend purchasing your car here.

If I could leave no stars I would. BUYER BEWARE! It was my first and last experience with this dealership. Incompetent people from the top down. I m not certain if it was pure ignorance or blatant deceit. My deal was a simple trade, paid off with cash! I signed all the paperwork for DMV which was out of state. They delivered a dirty CPO XC90 with bald back tires and deep body scratches that needed to be repainted. I also did not receive any paperwork with the vehicle and was told for 2 months to wait for the title to arrive by mail. Only to later discover that they never did any of the paperwork with DMV. I drove around in an unregistered car that didn t belong to me for 2 months illegally while being assured by the manager and staff that everything was in order and to be patient. This entire transaction was a complete disaster!!! Several times a week we spoke to no avail. The entire process took over 4 months to rectify. They should be fined for negligence and will be reported to BBB and Volvo corporate next! Go elsewhere!

Disappointed. I hate to leave a low review however the level of service I received only reflects a one star review. I write this in hopes that management can tweak their system and processes so that the following does not happen to another customer. I called on a Friday and gave Mr Gates my credit card info and told him to put 3K deposit on a Volvo XC 90, I also informed him that i had a 2 hour drive to get to the dealership and that I would be there on Monday morning at 9 am when they open that I would like to be in and out of the dealership as quickly as possible to have everything ready to sign and go. Mr Gates asked me to text him my DL and insurance info so that he could provide that quick service for me. I sent the info as soon as i was off the phone. I walked into the dealership at 9.05 on Monday morning and Mr Gates told me that the car had been sold. He said that he had saw on Saturday afternoon that the car was sold by another salesman. My disappointment is not that Mr Gates dropped the ball and failed to put a sold tag in the car, as a business owner I understand those things can happen when things get hectic. What was the most aggravating (and the reason I am even leaving this review) is that Mr Gates knew on Saturday that the car sold and could have sent me a simple text or voicemail to inform me. I was at a loss at the lack of respect for my time, I spent 5 hours of my day traveling 260 miles to be very disappointed. Now Mr Gates did offer to fill my tank up for fuel for the wasted trip but but at this point I was in such disgust that I thanked him for his time and left the store. Communication is key to success in any transaction and it was definitely not reflected in my experience. I hate it happened as the store was very nice and the showroom and building very well taken care of however as a busy person I do not do business with anyone who disrespects my time so I will not be returning nor could I recommend this store to a friend.

The service department took care of my vehicle and kept me informed. I had requested a last minute early pickup than scheduled because of some conflicts with work schedules and they were able to have my vehicle ready a few hours earlier than expected. My vehicle was returned cleaned and ready.

While visiting Charlotte, my car had a repeating error message. I called Johnson Volvo and they knew exactly what it was, how long it would take and told me to come right in. Service was excellent and very personable. Greatly appreciated the help and care for my car.

We came in to have our tires topped off with Nitro. Warren found a nail in one tire, but couldn't repair because of the location of the puncture. He replaced our tire for free because we purchased the road hazard warranty. Great service, highly recommended this dealership.

Initially I was skeptical as they wouldn't talk numbers over the phone or by text. The experience in the dealership along with the people (real humans not robots) will make me keep buying Volvos! My first interaction with Renee in internet sales was terrific and convinced me to stop in. When I arrived I was greeted by Fred who from my perspective is what salespeople should aspire to be. He was kind, attentive and knowledgeable. We spoke for a few minutes and I proposed an offer based on my understanding of the available incentives and discounts. Fred came back with an offer that was not what I had in mind. Then I met Jimmy the manager-he made everything right in terms of the offer that I was hoping we could work out. This was at closing time so we agreed to finalize the deal the next day. There was no high pressure tactics or even a deposit. The next day (after selling my current vehicle) I came back and Steven (another manager who was AWESOME!) assisted with the paperwork and what not. Another fantastic experience-I gave all of my best dad jokes and he made sure I was paying attention to what I was signing and all of the particulars. Finally, Fred took me to the car (exactly the one that I wanted) and showed me everything down to opening the glove box (if you have seen 'The Wire' it works similar to Chris and Snoop's). I could not have asked for more and cannot wait to come back to get my next Volvo (will need to work on the wife) from Johnson! If car dealerships mirrored the staff at Johnson Volvo it could make buying a car something people would want to do!

My previous post, although harsh, did reflect the service I had received at Johnson Volvo on Independence Blvd. Since the remodel and a few quick service's, I can say that I am back on the Johnson Volvo train.Warren and Ben are both very pleasant, personable and easy to work with.The new remodeled facility is fantastic.Which brings me to my most recent visit. On my way home from work yesterday, my TMS alerted me to a leak in my back driver side tire, I called Volvo and asked if I could bring it in and they said, of course, it should be an easy fix, which I thought as well. (I really wish the TPMS displayed actual pressure # s since they are very low profile tires, which apparently the system does not do)They brought the car in, a few minutes later they came out with pictures. I had somehow run over two nails and two staples, which is insane. They were reluctant to plug the holes saying that it would be unsafe even though the tire is six months old, so I relented, allowing them to put the spare on. So I guess I ll be buying a new tire and bringing the car back for them to mount. The S90 L is probably one of the most beautiful cars on the road and I literally have people approach me about the car to complement me and even had someone wait for me in a parking lot to offer to buy it. The main issue I have with that car is the rim & tire set up. The 20 rims are beautiful but they re apparently not suitable for Charlotte roads.

This has been the most frustrating car buying experience I have ever had. I have purchased new and used, local and out-of-state, delivery and in person, brand dealerships and otherwise. I have never worked with a team that was so unresponsive, unorganized, and seemingly inexperienced. All I expected was for the car to show up clean, on the day we agreed upon, and with temp tags. But instead:1. Bungled delivery: after purchasing the car, a delivery date was arranged for 10 days later. The delivery date came and went. After multiple unanswered calls to the dealership, eventually I got in touch with someone to reschedule. The rescheduled delivery date also came and went. Again, no one contacted me to let me know delivery would yet again be delayed. After more unanswered calls to the dealership, eventually I was able to reach someone and on the third delivery date I finally got the car.2. Dirty car: The car was to be cleaned prior to delivery. It showed up with the same obvious trash and dog hair present when I saw the vehicle at the dealership where I was told we just received the car and haven t had time to detail it, but it will be cleaned before you receive the car 3. No tags: It was delivered without temporary tags. After multiple days of emails and unanswered calls to multiple people at the dealership, someone finally called me back and said they d overnight the tags.At this point, I m hoping the temporary tags finally come in. I m also hoping the sales tax and registration fees I paid will actually be transferred to the state, but we ll see.I understand things can change, and things can be overlooked. But the lack of communication and difficulty in reaching anyone to take or return my call is frustrating and not something I expected from a luxury brand (as they reminded me Johnson Volvo is, multiple times, at signing).

First off, Warren in the service department is amazing. If you are taking your vehicle in, make sure you speak to him! Secondly, love the new updated showroom and waiting area. It was long overdue, and looks awesome!

Bought my son s first car here and the process was very easy. They are building a new showroom so parking is really tight. I get my car serviced here and have been satisfied with their work. Make sure you check the website for coupons. The waiting area has several seats with free snacks and a variety of drinks. If you find a car on the website I recommend you call first to confirm it is there. I have stopped by twice to see cars that showed at the dealer only to find they had not arrived yet.

I had very frustrating car buying experience with this dealership.I prefer writing short reviews but couldn't write any less than this.I am writing this review after watching my friends car being experience from other competitor and realized how badly I was treated with this dealership.Coming to my experience, I bought my car CPO Volvo XC60 in Jan here. there is a lot of misinformation from the day 1 I contacted the dealership.When I called this dealership and asked for the price and the representative from the dealership have informed me that the price I have asked for is possible and asked me to come to close the deal by coming to the dealership. because I am from Cary I have asked for purchase agreement for financing purpose and once I asked for quote they have given different number with huge difference. then I have to speak with different sales representative and renegotiate from the starting and agreed for the price which is higher than the initial price. I thought all issues are gone and everything is fine for my purchase.On the Next day I was researching more in the Carfax and dealer website, I found there is a difference of mileage (almost 10K Miles) is wrongly reported in their dealer website. when I asked the same to the dealership, they mentioned the mileage in the carafe report is correct and mentioned that if I go to dealership and close the deal they promised me to give some additional coverages(like paint protection plan or some kind of protection plan) which will compensate milage decrepencies and scheduled an appointment to finalize purchase at Jan 15, 2PM.So I planned my trip from cary to Charlotte and took my friend as a am new to US and Driving in US. and below is my direct experience with dealership in direct interaction.We reached on time around 1:45 to 2PM, Salesperson welcomed us well and showed us the car. we found it not clean when we asked the same to him he said car will be detailed(both interior and exterior) after the test drive. we have done the test drive and car was good and we liked the car. and then he sent the car for cleaning after our test drive.He asked us to wait for some time and he will make car cleaned and detailed and one of his financial manger will address me in some time and asked me to sign purchase agreement and few documentation's to make the process faster. when I asked about the protections plans and benefits promised in the call the sales representative told that I can very well discuss once I meet finance manager and the documentation is not final. so I agreed to sign and waited to meet finance manager and I requested them to complete the process ASAP as we need to travel back to cary which is 2 hour drive from dealership.After a long wait finance manager called us around 6 - 6:30 and started explaining about extended warranty plans and talked about the paint protection plan that he agreed to give during our initial call. but he kept condition that if I take the extended warranty (for which we have never discussed this before in our previous discussion) then he will give the paint protection plan for free. if this discussion happened with him around 4 o clock on that day I would have cancelled the deal and buy my car some other place.After so many discussions there is one more superior manager came and sorted and closed the deal as per their promise they mad in the call. over this complete period they were very rude and not even had courtesy that I travelled long to prefer this dealership and I lost couple of other car options(which I got from other Volvo dealerships which is lil far from my place.)And finally they have not detailed my car they just did the car wash and said that due to shortage of the staff they were not able to do detailing for interiors. which is quite disappointing.

The purchase of a 2021 XC Volvo was a excellent experience. The time I spent with Eddie and Rodney was excellent. They were cordial, personable, professional and polite. They went the extra mile to see that I was pleased with my purchase. This is my second purchase of a Volvo but my first with Johnson. I look forward to the service relationship in the future. Our first purchase from the new owners at Johnson Volvo Cars. We were able to identify available cars from the redesigned website. Our Salesperson John Vena was excellent. We first worked with him over the phone and then made an appointment to see the car we were interested in. This experience was great, stress free and easy. I like Johnson Volvo because they valued my time, provided fair pricing and great inventory.

Absolutely, positively the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire life. I wish I could give it a negative 5. When Perry (Service Manager) was there I never had a single problem, not one. I bought a brand new XC 90 in April of this year with a complete service package with the TIRE SERVICE because I knew I was gonna be spending time in the mountains tending to my parents. The vehicle itself is nice but the service is pitiful and that's an insult to pitiful. I brought it in for a sunroof replacement and it took over TWO MONTHS to get it done. TWO MONTHS. They said the part was on backorder, I could have made the glass myself in that time. I later found out that here are so many other options for this issue but they didn't do it. On top of that, since I bought the Tire Service Plan they were supposed to buff out the scratches on the rims but didn't do it and they had the car for over two months, plenty of time to take care of this. The bottom line is they do the very least they can get away with from a service perspective. Horrible, just horrible service and good luck getting in touch with them...Now, I have a $420 tire that needs to be replaced and there is a special lug nut key that is SUPPOSED to come with the car that I was unaware of and DID NOT come with my car. I'm stuck in Virginia caring for my Mother with Stage 5 dementia and my father with congestive Heart and Kidney Failure. I bought the tire and my provider could not find the key because it was NOT THERE because I never got it. NOBODY has worked on the car besides Johnson Volvo. Now I've been told by Benjamin George (Service Manager) that my only option is to bring the car to a Volvo Dealership which is over 200 miles away. Now how in the hell am I supposed to get a car with a severely damaged tire to Charlotte? On top of that, I can't leave my parents due to their illnesses. All they need to do is send me the lug nut key but I'm told I have to buy an entire tire replacement kit and I was afraid to ask how much that cost. On top of ALL THAT, I've asked for the names, positions and numbers of his superiors and he refuses to give them to me. The only people that refuse to provide their superiors information don't want their stories told.My goal is to document why I made the drive in case something happens where I get injured or worse during my drive. If I had is to do over again, I would still buy the car FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE and NEVER purchase the service plan.

While I am writing this review, I still cannot believe what my wife and I experienced at Johnson Volvo of Charlotte. We found a 2021 Volvo XC 90 that we both liked online so I called the dealership to ask if the vehicle was still available, which I was told that it was so we went to go see it. As soon as we got to the dealership, I was greeted by another salesman so I told him that I was looking for Ralph. The salesman told me that he had already left but that he would take care of me. I showed him the car that were interested in and proceeded to go look for the key. A couple of minutes goes by and he comes back and tells me that the vehicle had just sold prior to my arrival. At first, I believed that it was just bad luck but that was just the beginning of our horrible experience. The salesman tells me that he is going to talk to the sales manager to see if they can find something comparable to what we were originally interested in. After a while, he shows us a car that was somewhat comparable but it wasn t what both my wife and I wanted while obviously being a more expensive option. So we told him that we would like to think about it so we left. Once at home, I started researching what other options they had and found another vehicle that was about 7K more expensive but was exactly what we wanted with all of the characteristics that we were looking for so we were willing to pay the difference. Once we agreed on the price, we started the financing process with them. They could not send us the email with the link to the loan application, which they attempted to do multiple times. Therefore, the salesman had to take all of our information through the phone. After completing the process, we didn t hear back until the next day to which we were informed that we were approved and that everything was ready for us to come sign and pick up the vehicle. I responded by letting them know that we would pick up the car in about 2 hours. As my wife and I are getting ready to get into our car to pick the vehicle up, I get a call from the salesman and he proceeds to tell me that he has bad news. He explains to me that he has no idea how it happened but the vehicle we had secured financing and agreed to purchase had already been sold earlier in the week. We are still trying to understand how something like this could have been missed. We found ourselves without the car we got our credit pulled for and starting from zero for the SECOND TIME. As you can imagine, we were extremely disappointed and borderline angry at the lack of proper business practices necessary to prevent something like this from happening. They promised to make things right after the incredible mistake that had been made. They found another alternative that had just arrived to the dealership but again, it wasn t exactly what we wanted. They provided us with the numbers for the vehicle and presented us with a hefty discount on the car, about $3,000. We were very happy because it appeared as though they were making good on their promise with such a discount. As I mentioned it wasn t exactly what we wanted so I went onto their website to see if I could find exactly what we wanted but instead, I found the same car that they were now trying to sell us and that said car was being sold on their website about $3,000 cheaper than the price we were quoted (both the VIN and Stock number matched) so there was no doubt it was the same car. Thus, the dealership tried to trick us into thinking they were giving us a $3,000 discount on the vehicle in order to make up for the terrible experience we endured but in reality, they had just marked up the vehicle so they could provide us with the discount. I reached out to the salesman to get an explanation and I was told that the sales manager said that s the price so take it or leave it . It was at this moment that my wife and I realized that everything from the beginning was just a combination of unethical business practices. Got our credit pulled and no car! Worst experience ever at a dealership!
