I would highly recommend this place. The employees appear very honest in communicating what services are necessary. Although we had a miscommunication in the services that I was coming in for, they worked with me and appropriately charged me. It is nice to go to a place that specializes in Hondas and Acuras but avoid the crazy prices and recommendations at a dealership. I will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone! Just will make sure I confirm the services I am getting the next time I go.

So impressed with Compact Car Services! We were visiting relatives in Charlotte and had an issue with our RDX - Randy got us in right away, they were able to diagnose the problem immediately and fix it by the end of the day. Friendly, knowledgeable and all at a fair price - if we lived here, they would definitely be our regular service providers. Thanks to Randy, Lee and the guys!

They really know Hondas for sure! I have been going to them for about 5 years and they have never steered me wrong. They are just so busy! That's a great thing for them but horrible for me and my schedule since they are only open Monday through Friday!

Compact car offers pre-purchase inspections. Upon arrival I was told that the wait time would be an hour to an hour and a half. After about 30 min. an agent came to provide an assessment. Being a woman, and a minority woman at that, I m always skeptical about the level of integrity extended. However, I did feel valued as a customer. I m grateful that they offer this type of service. I intend to be a repeat customer.

My rear defroster on my newly purchased gently used Honda(2013 model, purchased in 2014) never worked and was misdiagnosed several times. Heard great things about Compact Car so took it in for an oil change and to check out the problem with the defroster. At this point I had been driving without for 9 years. They found the problem and fixed it!! Can't wait for the first frost this Fall. Thanks Guys!!!!

Enough cannot be said about Compact Car Service. Both me and my mother have been taking our cars here for almost 20 years. The quality of work is fantastic along with the customer service, reliability, and honesty. I don t have to worry about getting screwed into a repair I don t need, I don t need to worry about the correct work being done, I don t have to worry about anything with this shop. They even send me emails for services that need to be done. If they tell me something needs to be repaired, I ask no questions because I fully trust them and they re prices are fair. There is literally no place else to go for your car service needs. I could not be happier with Compact Car Service.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Wheel alignment, Auto tire replacement, Brake service & repair, Oil change

My car was leaking oil and Compact Car took apart my engine, replaced some gaskets, and also tuned the engine (they did something with the valves). The engine ran so much smoother after they finished with it, and I was very happy that I took my car there because I could tell that a lot of care that went into making it run smoother, and also to no longer leak oil. I also agree with the other comments about the staff. There seems to be very good communication between the mechanics and the person speaking with you on the phone (in my case Kris - a woman). She was very detailed in explaining to me what they had done to my car.I also agree with the other comments regarding their honesty and desire to work with you to help you reach the outcome that you are striving for with your car. They were recommended to me as an honest repair shop that will not rip you off, and they have consistently lived up to the reputation with all of the repairs they have done on my car so far (about 3).Service: General repairs & maintenance

I highly recommend Compact Car Service. They are very honest, and their work is reliable. So here's my story: I have a 2005 Honda Civic that I love and adore. It's the only car I've ever had in my 9 years of driving. The main issues I've come across in my experience with the auto mechanic industry is honesty and reliability. My experience with car repair at actual Honda dealerships has been an egregiously negative one. I've come to distrust Honda dealerships and I even expect them to rip people off. I have encountered multitudes of dishonesty at Honda dealerships and sometimes have left Honda dealerships with the exact problems I had going in. I feel like Honda Dealership's bottom line is strictly making MONEY with little regard for customer satisfaction nor professional integrity. I would never have my Honda Civic worked on by a Honda Dealership again. Never.Compact Car Service is the opposite. They aim to satisfy customers and are very honest. Anytime I have a problem with my car, I call Compact Car Service, explain to them what I'm experiencing with my car, and they give me an idea of what they believe the problem may be. Then they set up an appointment for customers to come in to have their cars inspected. I've had all types of repairs and maintenance done to my car from standard oil changes to timing belt and alternator replacements. I always feel like my car will be in good hands with Compact Car Service. I actively promote Compact Car Service to my co-workers, friends, family, and even strangers. I want Compact Car Service to be around for a long time. It'll be arduous to find another local operation that's so honest and reliable. Not great and not bad.Went in to get my transmission checked out. They went through diagnostics all across the vehicle but not really on my transmission.They just recommended to do a full transmission replacement for what I'm sure would be expensive. They told me they would call back about pricing but I never heard back.I decided to diagnose it myself after thinking about the symptoms and it ended up being just a clogged transmission filter and clogged banjo bolt that routes trans fluid through. One hour time and $10 for a new filter and it runs great again.It's probably a great place for most repairs but not exactly the best at diagnosing issues.

My granddaughter called from Boone that her 2004 Civic was in the shop with a repair quote of $571. Compact Car had just done major work on the car a few weeks earlier. I asked Randy at Compact Car to call the mechanic in Boone for details and let me know if the car was worth more investment. He called back to say the description of the problem showed Compact Car obviously did not replace or tighten a certain screw and he had authorized the mechanic in Boone to make the repair and bill Compact Car! When I offered my astonished gratitude, Randy said they were just standing behind their work and doing the right thing.Just my most recent reason for being their customer for over 40 years!!

I've been coming here for a couple years and never once thought about leaving a review. Visiting the mechanic is like seeing a doctor: Concerns, fixing, prevention, and bad news. But that doesn't mean the experience isn't everything. Here you get a solid mix of professional and familiar car enthusiasts who work through things with you, rather than treating you like a number and throwing a bill at your face. I have a lot of respect for the staff here and what they do. I would, without a doubt, recommend to anyone.-AV

I have been a long time customer and recommend them to everybody. If you re looking for an honest place to take your Honda or Acura this is the place. Randy and the rest of the staff are great and very helpful!

I can t say enough about these guys. For context, I had bought a 2004 Element and had the check engine light show up on the drive back. No other shop could figure out my issue. After a few visits they found out my oil pan being indented was blocking the oil pickup, leading to low oil pressure, which triggered the check engine light. They replaced the oil pan without any labor charge, and had immediately refunded prior parts purchases once it was determined that those parts didn t fix the problem. Since then my car has taken road-trips of both 13 and 9 hours one way, in addition to other shorter out of state trips and has run just fine.Once again, big thanks to Randy and the rest of the crew at Compact Car! If you ve got a Honda or Acura definitely take your car here.

I ve taken our 2006 Honda Pilot to Compact Car for service for the past year and a half and I ve been very pleased with their work. I can get an appointment quickly, my car is ready when they say it will be, estimated costs are actual costs and my car runs noticeably better after service. Highly recommend.

These guys are awesome! I have been taking my hondas and Acuras to them for 15 years. They are always honest loyal and willing to work with you. Never had any issues and they are always so on point. Keith and Randy...thank you for being the most honest mechanics I have ever met. You literally saved my son's life with your findings on the last car I brought in. I can't thank you enough.

VERY HAPPY with how I was treated!!!! Made an appointment for my 2004 Honda Accord and they were very kind to me when I got there as I ended up having a flat tire when I pulled in. They diagnosed my car and unfortunately were not able to help me with this particular problem because of my aftermarket parts but gave me great advice. Came to pick up the car and to my delighted surprise, didn't charge me and they even put my spare tire on so I could get the flat fixed! I would have gladly paid their very reasonable diagnostic charge!

The most Honest & Reasonably priced Honda & Acura Specialists you can VISIT!Did I mention HONEST...... been using them for YEARS.It's a Breath of fresh air to have Knowledgeable & Honest people Service my cars.You aren't getting (nor are you paying for Frills) in the waiting rooms.

I first started going to Compact Car in 1989 and I ve taken my Honda cars and van to them ever since. I appreciate their honesty and quality work, and willingness to tell me what needs to be done ASAP vs. what can wait till I have room in my budget. Took my car in to diagnose the third cylinder not working. Charged me $350, and I was told it would cost over $4,000 to replace with a used motor, no warranty. Picked it up and took it to another shop. They repaired it for just $1300. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Service desk friendly. Took my car in for oil change. Service complete in timely manner. Price reasonable. I did asked before bringing vehicle in if they top off fluids. Was told yes and no extra charge for it but when I got home and check vehicle they didn't top off fluids. I immediately called back and spoke with Lisa. After asking me a series of questions she told me to bring vehicle back in and they would top off my fluids. I was thankful for that but it's just always seem nice when someone apologize that it even happen because now I have to go back. I'm giving one star because they didn't top it off as it was part of service and I have to make extra trip to get it done....and no apologies was provided. Normally they are good.

Took my Acura TL here after hearing a bearing noise, I couldn't isolate it on my own so I took it in for their $40 diagnostic service. The tech was able to figure it out within a few minutes of getting the car on the lift and they didn't even charge me!One thing that stuck out to me was that a few customers in the waiting room were raving about this shop saying they've taken their cars here for xx years and sharing good experiences they've had. These testimonials from the other customers and my great first experience going here has definitely won them a new loyal customer.

When I go to a mechanic I want two things: honesty and quality work. I ve had two minor issues where I ve gone here and both times the honesty I received was as good as one could hope for. First time my drivers seat wouldn t recline all the way. Turns out my wife dropped something that got stuck in seat motor. Next trip they tell me they think everything is fine with my car as they couldn t replicate the issue I had and they talk me out of a repair. Two times I went there and twice they could have taken advantage of the situation for monetary gain. Sadly we are selling the Acura but if I ever have a chance to refer someone to this place I will.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This is the most awesome place to get your car serviced if you have a Honda/Acura! They are knowledgeable, friendly, do great work, and don't price gouge. I got to where I would not take my car to be serviced as a woman, because I was always taken advantage of. Compact Car Service has proven to me time and time again that they can be trusted. We thought we needed new brakes 6 months ago and they told us we still had some time on them. They could have easily sold us new brakes and we would have never known. Recently both of our Acuras have been having problems and they have worked with us to figure out the problem BEFORE having us spend a lot of money to do something they think "might" be the problem. They have spent a lot of time on our cars, but until they find the problem, they haven't charged us. I don't know anywhere else in Charlotte that would have done that. They are good, honest, hard workers who don't take short cuts and don't sell you things you don't need. I didn't think a car service place was out there like this. We are so thankful we found such a wonderful place to take our cars. Keep up the good work Compact Car Service!!!

Absolutely outstanding service!!! Had a problem with my 2016 Pilot which would have cost $1500. They called Honda on my behalf and got me set up for a free repair to be completed under warranty. Really impressed (and thankful). Highly recommend.
