Wish I did my research before booking here. Two days into our trip, while driving on a highway the car shuts off and an error comes on saying Malfunction was able to pull over to a safe place and call them. To then be told since we didn t take their insurance we would have to tow the car back ourselves for an exchange and will get reimbursed. Dealt with Kiara, who was very unprofessional and unhelpful. Stated that she s closing up at 8pm and if we don t get there before then we would have to wait till the next morning. She was not willing to wait a few minutes after 8pm! We decided to just wait it out till the next morning to tow the car which we then was helped by Ashley who in deed was helpful. As for the reimbursement, the manager Miss Kay told us that s not happening!Stay safe and away from this company, pay the extra bucks and book with a higher rated company.

Pretty awful rental experience. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of this company on the phone and it is pretty tricky to figure out where the shuttle picks up at the airport. Once we made it to the desk, they informed us they had no more cars available. They said they always have this issue by Friday, they rent more cars than they have. At length, they were able to downgrade us from the compact SUV we paid for to a little nissan sentra. They apologized and told us to contact Priceline for a refund. Priceline called Best/Ace and they were told that we were NOT downgraded and in fact we were upgraded. This is false, and we paid for a car we did not receive. If you use this company, know that you may not get a car and if you do it will be downgraded so do not pay more for a car you will not receive. The car was also very dirty and smelled like smoke, there was a cigarette burn on the drivers side that we were told to disregard. Bummer of an experience. I feel bad for the workers there, they were trying their best but obviously the company doesn't care for them or their customers.

My father and I had a terrible experience renting from best rent a car on Wilkinson in Charlotte, North Carolina. First off they rented us a lemon, the car accelerated and decelerated unexpectedly, the fob worked only intermittently and warning lights on the dashboard went off numerous times.We tried to contact them multiple times but no one was able to help.I've also tried to contact them multiple times afterwards and no one has responded.I shouldn't be surprised.

Priceline is terrible but this place helped make everything work and Kiara was so helpful going well above and beyond to make what we had work. I'll not rent a car from anyone else again. Thank you again Kiara and Best Rent A Car!!!!!

From the time I walked through the door Ms. Kaja greeted us and immediately started to assist us. She even explained the differences in insurance coverages. Everyone was pleasant from start to finish and I highly recommend this company for your rental car needs, they definitely beat their competitors out price wise as well. To top it off they have a shuttle at the airport to transport you to their office! Don't hesitate book with them today!

Talk about service. Best experience with a rental car company ever.Flight got delayed on the 11th and I couldnt rent with another company due to not having a credit card.Not a problem here they'll hold a deposit. On your debit card insteadThe unlimited miles offer was great since I was traveling to hickory and seeing lots of friends and family around the area.I called and even extended my rental which was quick and easy.Dropping off was a breeze. Just make sure to fill up the gas tank.They even took me back to the hotel saving me the hassle of dealing with Uber and Lyft.Ten out of ten will be back again!

Waited at the airport for an hour for the shuttle that never came. We would try to call to ask them about it and they left us on hold for 20 minutes and said, "Could be 8 minutes but could be longer if stuck in traffic". Well there was no traffic. Ended up having to spend $20 on a cab to get there even though it was just one mile away.

They gave me a car that kept having malfunction warnings and the windshield wipers were bad and charged me for an extra day that I didn t use the car. Also did not return my deposit. Pls be careful when renting from this company .

You get what you pay for. Do not rent from the Charlotte office. First vehicle had to be returned , due to intense weed smell. When I took it back, I was given a Nissan Rogue, fob key did not work and when I called back due to not being able to start vehicle they kept me on hold for about 20 minutes, while I waited I reviewed You Tube clip to learn how to start car and about the time CSR was back online, I had figured it out myself. BEST RENT A CAR doesn't want to refund our $200 deposit because of a smoke smell from the inside of the car. When we first opened the door to the car, we said it smelled like pot and the kind lady that worked there just giggled.Now they claim it didn't smell before we rented the vehicle.When I returned the vehicle, I asked the lady that checked the fuel gauge if everything was good and she said, "Yes."None of us smoke, yet they still won't refund.*** 10-5-22 Timothy Tennyson

This place changed its name to Best but it is ACE car rental. If you want to miss your wedding. Wait 5 hours for your reserved car or be mislead by charging your card for a car they didn't mention... then Go to this place. It is the worst place ever. They over charge you an additional $30 a day if you leave NC. They charge a deposit according to how they feel that day. That's 100, 200 or 300 if they need that car and want you out.Most of the time they don't have enough cars for their reservation so people have to stand around for hours waiting because usually they are stuck there.

This has been the worst service that I have ever received at a car company. First, the vehicle was dirty and I brought it to the attention of the customer service agent that assisted me. They didn t have another car available for me. Although they said they would clean the car, I came to Charlotte for a reason and didn t have time for all that. The vehicle should have been cleaned and serviced before it was rented. So, that was Friday. Sunday morning I am dressed to go to church, and started driving, lo and behold the tire pressure light comes on. So I drove a little and thought the ground might have been cold and it would go off. I tried putting air in it and that didn t work. First tried my auto policy and was asked about the year of the vehicle. I didn t know that number. So by this time the office is open. So today, I tried calling Best Rental and was placed on hold for over 5 minutes and so I hung up and called back. I told the perThe person answering the phone that I needed roadside assistance. First I was told that it wasn t available then I was told that if I decided it s services then they couldn t provide the service. Now looking at the agreement I have, it doesn t lay out anything about roadside assistance. Nevertheless, this agent was rude but tried to turn it back on me that I was being rude. I informed him that I was frustrated not rude. At this point I only needed the year of the vehicle., which was needed by my insurance company to send out roadside assistance. Well, the agent at Best said that year of the vehicle is listed on the paperwork. I explained that it was not. To my surprise he explained that the year was found in the Unit #, which didn t stipulate the year.This company is a joke. The lack of customer service and attention to detail doesn t exist. I m so frustrated at the experience that I ve had with Best. I will never result with them again and will be filing a complaint through American Express.?

ONE OF THE WORST 30 MINUTES OF MY ENTIRE 60 YEARS ON THE PLANET! ZERO STARS IS MOST ACCURATE... CLASSLESS. RUDE AND RIGHT DOWN NASTY..I WOULDN'T ALLOW DOGS TO RENT HERE!!

This is the best place I've ever rented a car from. The customer service is great! The will go above and beyond to help with whatever is needed. Wenny and Tawanda are great!! The rest of the crew is too I've just dealt with them the most!! I highly recommend Best rent a car. I went to the one on Wilkinson but I'm surr they are all great! Keep up the great work!

My experience at this car rental location was satisfactory. I was pleased with the outstanding customer service by employee Cayland Howard. He was professional when assisting me in getting my rental and ensured I was aware of the dos and donts of the car rental policy. Professional, courteous and positive attitude and demeanor from this employee.

Best rental has really been courteous and punctual in their service renting me cars. I have literally been renting from them for the last almost two months and each experience has been smooth. Wonderful staff, from smooth airport shuttle pick up to car check out (thanks Jhanee!) Only complaint is the heat in the facility. Wow. Employees need more AC and ability to wear lighter clothing for human working conditions. !

Cayland provided me with prompt and accuract information. His customer service was on point he explained everything to me so that I understood the contract completly. He was very polite and his manners were right on que. His mother would be proud. Would most definitely come back to this location as the entire staff was very customer oriented, and you don't see that much anymore rhese days. Very impressed with the customer service that is provided here.

The facility is overstaffed but they give customers terrible and shady service with an attitude and misinformation. I went in for a daily $25 rate and after a month ended up with 70$ charge plus more. There was no rhyme or reason to their upcharges and they kept asking me to come in for a resignature on contracts.Go to airport rentals. This is not worth the extra stress! Right hand doesnt know what left hand is doing!

Horrible experience. Had to Uber to the rental car location because the shuttle wasn t running and no one answered the phone. Watching in disbelief as the they were laughing at people they didn t have cars for. When I brought this up with management they called me a lair and hung up on me. DONT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. You will regret it.
