I've been here 3 times in the morning and they can never seem to open on time. The store opens at 7:30 am, but it's been 7:50, 7:55, and 7:57 every morning I've needed to go. Beyond that, I've also shown people here parts that are in stock at that store with the part number, they check the shelf where online orders go, and tell me they don't have it and it will, "be on the truck that is coming sometime that day". I feel bad for the one person they assign to open the store in the morning. Spend the extra $20 to have 2 people open the store in the morning

Mama B, Johnathan, and Luis were amazing today! I came in for what seemed like such a big issue for me, but they assured me it was very easy to take care of. They were polite, engaging, and efficient. This has been the best experience I ve had at AutoZone and everyone should come to this location S22 on North Tryon.

Amazing customer service. Elijah made sure to help me and went above and beyond throughout the process. He s quiet and looks a little nonchalant, and that s why I was surprised whenever he offered to help me out.If Elijah is working he will most definitely be helpful and I will be coming here for all my parts and further questions.

Came here with a friend to get his check engine light code scanned, waited in line for 15 minutes then the guy behind the counter mumbled something and said let me see if we can. Waited another 20 minutes and we ended up leaving and going somewhere that was able to scan the code for us very quick and easy. Stay away from AutoZone.

Mr. Jonathan F. is an absolute treasure! I was so frustrated and somewhat freaking out but Mr. Johnathan was absolutely professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. He managed my situation and was humble about his expertise. Seriously, by far the best example of customer service I have seen in a long time. I don t live in the area but I will make sure to make the trip here if I ever need anything again. Again, thank you, Mr. Johnathan! -Woman in the 2014 Black Camry.

Needed a battery replaced but had corrosion on the battery terminal. Cyrus stated outside with us for almost an hour trying to make sure we got our car back to and running. Eventually a manager came and helped finish the task. We are super grateful for the helpful staff at this location.

They have the worst customer service. It takes way too long for any help because they're always too busy joking around.

Great service from Bryan. Helped out tremendously with my exchange for defective battery. Thought it was going to be a difficult issue but he literally asked me how I wanted my money returned without hesitation. That s real quality service if you ask me. Will recommend automotive parts and help from anyone that needs great service from a manager over here at Autozone. 5 star service and highly recommended. Keep these guys happy

I had an terrible experience at this locationJonathan Assist Managers was very rude and unprofessional..He spoke negatively about me to an associate and didn't apologize when he realize the error was the Store Manager mistake ( she sold me the wrong size battery)..I will not be back!!!

Customer service is rude. I called just to see if they had a piece in stock. I was immediately placed on hold. I was holding 6 minutes But then Someone came back and asked if I was someone else, and put me on hold for another 6 minutes and then came back and hung up. I called back and explained what happened and that I m just looking for a piece and then left on hold for 20 minutes.

They had what I needed, which is always a plus. They wanted me to check myself out, though. Seriously. They wanted me to scan my items and pay for them myself. I don't work there. There's a reason I am at Auto Zone instead of Walmart. I am not checking out my own stuff. I am not responsible for ensuring everything is rung up and paid for correctly. That is not my job, nor was I properly trained to do so. If you want my business, you will treat me like a customer instead of an employee.

I dont think having a phone in one hand playing a game while checking me out is good customer service. Nor is it fine to have ANOTHER employee on their phone at the same time next to you completely on their phone handing you a receipt without making eye contact (Night of Jan 23)

I was at Ikea and when leaving found my car had a dead battery. My emergency battery booster didn't work. I saw there was an AutoZone around a half mile away. We walked there.I was helped by a gentleman named Tony. He is an assistant manager. He very professionally explained my options for battery replacements while my wife tried to get us an Uber ride back to my car. I also bought the tools I thought I would need.We purchased a battery and tools, but a ride wasn't available in the near term. I asked if I could pay Tony for a ride. He smiled and said we could work something out.I asked if he could charge my credit card since I had no cash. He smiled and said no, but I offered he could keep the $22 core charge. He again smiled and agreed.Tony carried us back to our car, and while I was planning to do the repair, he took lead and did the work himself. He did in thirty minutes what would have taken me two hours, and he did it in 90+ degree weather and high humidity. His work was simply perfect. I was stunned at his knowledge and skill. We returned to Advanced Auto to process the core charge refund. He asked me to insert my credit card. He then smiled and said the core charge was refunded to me, and I owe him nothing. There is a lot you can teach an employee, but there are certain skills that are simply a part of their character and upbringing. Tony worked a half hour in the oppressive heat and spent his own gas and time to get me home. And he asked nothing for it.If you don't promote him to store manager and beg him to find others like him, you are an idiot. It doesn't matter what he knows. You can teach him. A person like that is priceless.

Brought my girlfriend's car in for a new battery. To reiterate, not my car. I didn't know the "trim" and tried to tell the guy behind the counter the engine size instead to see if that made a difference. He was quite condescending. It's not uncommon for people to not know the trim of their cars, especially if it's a mid level trim, or if it's not their vehicle. Not to mention that trim in most cars does not denote engine displacement (such as mine which is the Limited but has the same engine as the base model.) A car person should know this and not rely on a computer to give me an answer. And if they don't know, should be more willing to help figure it out and educate the customer.

Have you considered customer service training? It might help.

Very helpful employees, but the store is definitely understaffed. Went in to get a replacement fuse, took nearly half an hour before I could speak to one of the two employees.

This is the worst AutoZone I have ever went to in my life. A older Hispanic male, I believe they said his name was Angelo, completely disrespected me. I told him I think it's my headlight that's out or the light next to it. Instead of saying, let me go take a look for you, he stares at me for almost a minute without saying anything and then says " it's not my fault you don't know your own vehicle " like excuse me ? I may be a female but I do know my own vehicle and it was sunny out and hard to see the lights , I noticed the night before the light was out. He then sends a very nice guy to help me check it, since he doesn't do anything but stand behind the counter and be little customers. The guy who checked it for me was very nice, but had no knowledge what so ever and said the lights were all working. It's night time now and the headlight is out like I told them! Now I'm at the AutoZone on N Tryon getting friendly customer service and they're changing it as I write this! Stay far away from this AutoZone if you need any REAL advice and I will pray for you Angelo !!!!!

Luis was fantastic. He came out, in the rain, and showed me where and how to check the fuses in my car. This guy was fantastic!

I went there last night to pick up a part. Thanks to Steven for helping me out. Not only did he help me find the right part but he also sorted my options out. The part did fix my vehicle and I m back on the road. Thanks again for your help. Go check him out.

The manager in the store moved me so much he got a terrible call at work that one of his family members had recently passed and he was unable to leave and you can see the pain and frustration in the space but he did his job so well I just had to say something positive about him and I hope that he can get a raise of some sort because he went above and beyond what others would already have left an incredible manager

Great place to have a Autozone near a busy area. Only thing sometimes they give you wrong parts or they have no clue what you asking for. I call another autozone and they do.

I was very excited about the opening of this store because it's close to where I live, but if it's mandatory for employees to be rude and chastise customers, I'll continue going to Advance Auto where I'm treated as a valued customer.
