I was sold a defective part TWICE! I lost over $400 with the mechanic. I purchased a strut assembly and it came defective from the manufacturer. It was getting stuck on the car when you turned the wheel.I called and informed the store. They ordered a new part and said to pick it up the next day. I purchased the new part, went back to the mechanic and removed the old strut to begin putting in the new one. When we opened the box, not only was the part NOT new! It had the same manufacturer defect! It was missing the bolts and one of the screws did not have thread.My mechanic had to remount my old strut. I decided to buy the part at O'Reilly's instead. Thankfully their part did work! But by then I had paid my mechanic 3 times! I lost time and money! I should be compensated for your mistake!

Better than the autozone next to them! They were busier for a reason. Thank you guys very much for testing my battery twice today after I got a new battery at autozone and didn t trust them to do it right I will be back if I ever need anything!!

Stopped at location 5130 South Blvd to have battery checked. Guy at counter was rude and annoyed and let me know he didn't like the idea of going out in rain to check my battery. Had my battery been faulty I would have purchased from your company, but his rudeness would have made me go to another location. I even thanked him 2x and he didn't respond. Just walked back into store.

If I could give them zero stars I would. They just won t answer the phone and if they do they immediately put you on hold and leave you there for obscene amount of time. If I could go up there I would but sadly I m having issues with my car and trying to check on a part that was ordered to see if it came in, guess I will never know and have to order from somewhere else

I went and bought a battery. The agent advised he could change my battery, when he got out to my car, he told me my battery terminal was broke and he could not change. I went through a stressful night trying to find a shop, get pricing etc; after I found someone, they told me and showed me that my terminal was actually not broken. I returned the battery here and even a different agent looked and stated my terminal was not broken. What I would have appreciated would have been honesty & transparency to save myself the unnecessary stress I went through.

This is the worst advance auto parts I order a filter 3 days ago and they not call me to let me know the order was canceled I come to this place and they only said your order was canceled , I do not buy anything from this place. NOT RECOMMENDED.

I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. THEY SOLD ME THE WRONG PARTS TWICE AND THEIR INCOMPETENCE COST ME A LOT OF MONEY IN THE LONG RUN. I'm a humble guy but what they did was ridiculous. I hate to leave a review like this but I must be honest to help the next person.

I explained what type of air filter I needed, the attendant searched it in their system, got it and rang up my purchase. I am a Speed Perks Rewards member and was able to redeem my points ( which lowered my price) They also offer military service discounts, just provide proof of service (ie military ID or veterans card)

They were really helpful. Stopped in to grab a new headlight.. was more than I expected to spend but not their fault. I wish they were able to install.. sigh. Any low cost suggestions anyone? **Update** changed it by myself with the help of some good YouTube videos!

I just want to take the time to acknowledge Dee the assistant manager and her team this afternoon these are a wonderful group of individuals working here very well mannered and professional answer all of my questions I have and assisted me with my purchases at the time

Fantastic service. Dee was great - needed a windshield wiper, not only got me the correct size but also installed it just to make sure it fit properly!

I ordered a part that had to shipped to the store. The transaction was on April 15th I called 7 times and every time they told me that the part wasn t in yet. Today April 27 I called to see if it s in because it s been long enough to get shipped. The associate tells me that it was sent back to the warehouse because it wasn t picked up in time. My question is how do you send something back that has been paid for? And the fact I call everyday to see if it came in so why not call and let me know it s in. The manager don t know nothing he s all over the place and the fact that I had to pay for shipping as well as the part. The least they can do is make sure I receive what I paid for. The manager told me the other day If it doesn t come in just get a refund. What a bad experience this has been. Go somewhere else for your parts. The south Blvd store has bad customer service.Update: I m changing this to three stars Manager Julio called me and had my part reordered, it came the day he said and he gave me a apology. The part also was cheaper. Thank you for making this situation right.

Went in on a Tuesday afternoon, so not too busy. Well staffed.I believe clerk that helped me was Jeff. Nice, patient, waited so I could get a better deal online, helped me narrow down options, etc.Quick install of battery.I actually called ahead beforehand to see if they had a battery in stock. They answered quickly, were courteous, and helpful.What slowed things down was their computer system. If you get an upgrade, you might be able to address the low staff reviews. Maybe there isn t a staff problem at peak hours, maybe it s a bandwidth problem with your operations that causes a bottleneck.I didn t have one. My experience was good, but improvements to your computer system would benefit all parties.

The staff are very lazy, incompetent and very unprofessional. They had no interest in assisting me with my inquiry for my vehicle and did not even offer any other options. Basically, the attitude of the staff were very nonchalant and as if I was bothering them as I ask for assistance with my vehicle. Brent provides excuses instead of results. I look forward to management addressing this issue and collaborating with employees to provide better service to customers!

I wanted to leave a good review for one of the employees, a younger guy named Charles (I'm pretty sure that's what his nametag said, but it was partly obscured by his jacket). Right when I walked in, he stopped what he was doing and asked if he could help me find anything. He helped me get what I needed quickly and answered some questions I had, and I proceeded to go to the registers. He saw that it was going to be a wait due to the only cashier being tied up with another customer, so he immediately came up and took care of it. I wouldn't have minded if I had to wait, but he seemed to be driven to make sure things moved smoothly for customers, and was aware of the optics that it creates when people are waiting to check out but nobody is stepping up to help. I worked as a Chick-fil-A manager many years back and that was the kind of person we always wanted on our team. I'll definitely be back to this location for my future purchases, and there are a lot of other stores I could go to!

This review is just for this location and was the worst customer experience from any auto parts store ever. The manager John caused it all. I bought a part out of another Advance but picked it up out of this store. This was a 20 minute trip for me but I realized on the way that I did need the part. I received in this store from John but I told him that I didn't need the part and would like to return it and refund my credit card. He told me that I would have to take it to another store because he didn't want to take the hit for the return at his store. He told me that he didn't care that I had to drive out of the way to pick up the part and then threw his hands up and said he wasn't gonna argue with customers. Then he started to walked off while instructing everyone at the counter not to give me a refund. Before he walked off I asked for the home office info and his name to file a complaint and he wrote it down on register paper. I'm about to call the corporate office and file a complaint. I've spent plenty of money at Advance over the years and typically the service is great but this guy John S is tempting me to switch to a competitor. I hope that the company doesn't respond in the same manner. This guy needs to be fired in my opinion.

Top notch customer service. Not only do they offer free services like checking your battery and alternator, they treat you with respect even if you're asking very "basic" questions. I was able to get a new air filter and get it installed while hubby was at work so I could take something off his endless todo list. He was impressed with the one I purchased (on the Advance Auto Employee's recommendation) and even though they don't really install them, hubby was also impressed with the fact the air filter did get installed, and I was able to get the battery and alternator checked for free. Nice folks, good service, helped me impress my hubby. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

Sales associate was fantastic, knowledgeable and friendly. She even assisted me with adding oil to my car.She should become a training instructor for all in the companies that need to improve with customer service and satisfaction!!

Stopped in for new windshield wipers and got the VIP service. Gave the information on type of car at the counter and was provided a selection to choose from (some high end and some cheapies). The attendant grabbed the wipers I selected and went to the parking lot and threw them on. In and out in 10 minutes. Great service!

Great Advanced Auto location. They have a very friendly, helpful and efficient, Spanish speaking staff! Apparently it's a great place to break down lol! Thanks for all the patience, understanding and for being generous with your public restroom! Much appreciated during our 4 hour parking lot visit, as mere tourist passing through town! This was a great place! Johnny helped me so much ( other employees were nice too) he went over and beyond to help me. I had been to a few AA stores looking for some parts my friend had ordered....He found them for me & was very kind! I definitely would recommend going to this store!!

Went to the store to pick up the parts I ordered online, John greeted and said one of the boxes was open so asked me to comeback after an hr so he could order the other one at the other store, I came back, then one of the boxes is still open so naturally I will ask why is it still open? and John said I am not playing Houdini on you which seems so rude answer to a customer.Still took Home the item I Hope its really fine and i hope i just dealt with other guys fromThat store other than this guy John.

Avoid Advance Auto Parts on South Blvd, Charlotte, at all costs. I would give zero stars if I could. Dishonest and incompetent staff, starting from Francisco to the Manager. Francisco, the staff person, kept me waiting for a good 20-30 minutes while on the phone, even though I had waited in line and it was his turn to help me. Instead, he took a call and kept me waiting. To make a long story short, due to the lack of knowledge of these folks, my car was getting damaged and could result in thousands of dollars in repairs. My car almost caught fire due to the actual problem, which these folks had no clue about. I had to go through all of this because Francisco did not have the capability to understand the real issue. It was a terrible experience as a customer, and for the rest of my life, I will never go back to an Advance Auto Parts store, especially this one on South Blvd. If I were the owner of this store, I would fire both Francisco and the Manager, who did their best to avoid taking any responsibility. Lesson learned. Avoid Advance Auto Parts.
