I've been looking for an honest, affordable mechanic since I moved to Chapel Hill. I have tried many and have felt ripped off by several.I recently went to East Franklin Car Care because a coworker recommended them.I had a state inspection, brakes and an oil change.My car runs better than it has in years and the price was very fair.My search is over and I am very happy.

I came to East Franklin Car Care with a water leak on floor in the driver s side of my car. I asked them to try to unclog where water drains out of the AC because I thought that might be the problem. (I don t know anything about cars, just read it on YouTube.) They told me once they were done that one side drained fine but they d have to take some big pieces of my car apart to make the other side drain, and it would cost more and take a while, and they couldn t guarantee that would fix it. The two staff members I spoke to both looked super guilty while explaining, and in the end that s why I decided to go with someone else. They charged me $10 less than they quoted since they didn t fix the problem. When I left I saw the sunroof cover had been moved, and there was water on the edge of my sunroof. I NEVER open my sunroof or move the cover. Later I had someone different fix my car who s been making these repairs for 30 years and his work has a warranty. It took him 15 minutes to fix it and he showed me my sunroof wasn t draining correctly because a part near the gas and brake pedals was loose. He said it was a common problem with my make and model of car. He replaced the part and poured water on my sunroof to show me how it was now draining right. I can t prove it and I m not positive, but it definitely seems like the people at East Franklin Car Care knew what the problem was and were trying to get more money out of me. I definitely won t be going to them again.

Took my car here to get brakes fixed after Chapel Hill Tire quoted me $1400 and said I needed new rotors as well, East Franklin told me that my front brakes were fine and I only needed to fix my back brakes. Saved me well over $1000, honest workers amazing people. Will only be going here from now on.

Excellent tire repair at almost half the cost of a local chain and it was fixed within 20 minutes while I waited with no previous appointment! Great customer service from owner Cassie and team. Highly recommend this servcice station.

Took my car here for an oil change/tire check for the first time yesterday and the service was incredible. I hate walking into any car shop as a woman, but the woman working the front desk was so sweet! I told them the battery in my car key was dead and they replaced that for me without me even asking. I've been taking my car to the Mercedes dealer for any services needed and it's almost triple the price. I will definitely be taking my car to East Franklin from now on!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had a hard time at first finding this place. I needed to replace my alternator, water pump, and thermostat for my Toyota Suv.I checked with most of the other repair shops from Cary, Hillsboro, and this one in Chapel Hill offered me the best price (I saved more than four digits compared to other shops) in exchange for being patient.I took their offer and got my vehicle back before Thanksgiving!It took them two weeks but I understood that this is a new repair shop with limited staff and time. Other than that, they did what I asked.Thanks much again, and you guys definitely beaten the prices and did a very good job fixing my Suv! I couldn't be any happier!I highly recommend this shop if you have the time to wait!

Eastgate Car Care is the best place to go if you value honesty and integrity as part of your serviceThey have never wronged me and go the extra mile to please. Recently my car window on the drivers side became inoperable and I needed an expensive part installed for it to work To make a long story short, the service person looked further into the problem and was able to repair it at minimal cost!!! They also noted a tire on the passenger side which was a safety hazard. That's another story. I'm just happy they're still around!!

I had my first oil change here at East Franklin Car Car. With your own oil and oil filter, it's a mere $22 which is much cheaper than other shops nearby. The service took about 20 minutes and i had a great experience! They just need to remember to place a sticker for the next oil change.

I have gone to East Franklin Car Care for over 20 years. Most of that time I was driving a pretty old car and I depended completely to take care of whatever needed fixing. They have consistently provided excellent service and dependability and I have never been charged more than I should be . When I finally got a new car I kept going there as opposed to the dealership because I trust them completely not to take advantage of my lack of expertise with car maintenance. I also like the fact that it is a family run business. You can't go wrong at Reagan's.

Very nice lady at the register. Walked in for a inspection and was done in less than hour. Had a tire installed years ago and it was also quick and friendly service.

I have been doing business here for over 5 years now. I can't even express in writing how much I love doing business here. It's a family owned business, good down to earth people that you just enjoy being around. Their prices are competitive and their service is top notch. I read a review where I guy complained that they told him that his vehicle would be ready in about a hour but he was upset that they didn't call him in a hour and gave them a bad review. What!!?? If they tell you it will be ready in about a hour just go by because it will be ready in about a hour. I will do business at this store as long as I live in the area and still breathing. Do yourself a favor and bring your business here also.

I took my car there for an oil change. Not only did I find the previous mileage sticker in my door but I also had my tire pressure light come on after the visit. A few days later I had the protective cover on my car fall down while I was driving which xould have ended horribly. I was apprehensive about this place anyway. They overcharged me for my oil change. I dropped my car off at 11:30 a.m., never got a call that it was ready so at 3p.m. I walked over and it smelled like a marijuana factory in there. I would not ever recommend anyone to waste their money at this place.

Overpriced, inefficient, and terrible customer service. Beware.I used to come here for oil changes. They're sometimes pretty busy, so I'd ask how long it'll take. In my experience they pretend they are less busy than they actually are, just to get more business. The one time I pointed out it took 3 hours instead of the 1 hour it promised, the person working there yelled at me, disrespected me, and told me my business wasn't welcome. I don't think thats good customer service. I suggest seeking business elsewhere.Suggestion for the business:-Be more polite to customers-It's okay to say you don't know how long a service is going to take. Please don't lie to customers and say something you can't follow through on.

Been going there for years. They've always helped me with my many vehicles. They provide great immediate service for a fair price. Always willing to help me out. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I really appreciate their family run business.

It s simply unacceptable for none of the employees to wear a face mask. Whether you believe in the virus or not, this is a pandemic and it s so irresponsible for you to show no concern for the health and safety of customers.Also, I was treated very rudely when I needed simple questions answered. Zero respect. Won t be coming back.
