Tim is very fair, Knowledgeable and kind. I have been bringing my cars to him for years and he has always taken good care of them. His prices are very reasonable and he also provides quick service. Thanks to Tim and Pit Stop for getting my car running again!

I highly recommend these guys. Very honest & fair while also doing outstanding work. Very knowledgeable as well. I honestly would give them 10 stars across the board if I could. As far as local businesses go, this one is second to none! These are the locally owned businesses that we need to support & protect!

I've used Pit Stop/Tim since I got married--my wife refused to let her car be touched by anyone else, because her family has used Pit Stop for her whole driving career.I can see why. It's been a decade, and Tim has remained the most fairly priced, transparent, and friendly mechanic I've had the pleasure of working with.You'll be glad you went to Pit Stop the next time your car needs work.

Tim is great and super easy to work with. My wife's family has lived in Cary for over 20 years and this is their only mechanic. I like how quick and affordable they are. Honest mechanic that is not going to rip you off or over charge. Great workmanship and always friendly. When I would bring them old beater cars and trucks, Tim would always try to get me back on the road for the least amount of money and work possible. Best mechanic I know in the area!

Tim was awesome! THE best place for your vehicle inspection and oil change. Friendly people and quickest service to date. Did not need an appointment and the wait time was so small I never looked at my watch. They also vacuumed my wife's car which was an unexpected service. Tim, the owner, comes across to me as an old fashioned, down to earth, straight forward, get to business, honest mechanic. I found this place via Google, and other positive reviews made me hopeful. I'm so glad they were spot on. My tire was leaking air when i arrived. I thought the bead needed to be resealed and he was willing to reseat the bead on the tire. However when he pulled it off, he discovered the wheel was cracked. He called me into the shop to show me, and gave me options on fixing it (repair or but another). His team member called a contact of his for repair, and called another to get a quick quote on a replacement. He then suggested i get on eBay to look around too. I took his advice, called a few repair places to figure out pricing and then checked eBay for options. eBay had the most affordable alternative, but i wanted a professional opinion on which of them to buy. He was kind enough to let me stop by, show him the pictures, and gave me his recommendation. He also let me have the part shipped to the shop directly so i wouldn't have to lug it over. He didn't charge me anything for the diagnosis (maybe because it was a matter of minutes), nor his time giving me his opinion. I glad i could finally pay him for his help when i returned to have the new part put in! In my opinion, he earned it! I was also grateful for how affordable it was. This location is for quick jobs, and i definitely think they go pretty quick. If you have any sensitivity to smoke, be forewarned that the scent can be around at times. However unless you have serious issues or conditions with it, then i think this is a minor matter that should be overlooked for the quality of workmanship, speed, integrity and affordability. I plan to bring my car to him for other items in the future to see if these qualities remain consistent

I wish I could leave negative stars. Called this morning, and politely introduced myself asking if there was a wait for inspections. I was told there would be no wait if I wasn't on the phone. Headed to the location that I thought I called, and was told I was at the wrong location. I called the other location, which had a different phone number to ask if there was a wait. Apparently, it was the same person I just spoken to you, who informed me that he just spoke to me, and hung up. When I arrived, the gentleman recognized me, and seemed extremely annoyed that I had called, stating that it's not complicated, it's just an inspection. I attempted to explain, but he would seemed uninterested. I asked if he prefer to go somewhere else, and he said yes.I originally chose this place, because of the good ratings. Maybe he was just having a bad day, or maybe you should find a job that is something other than customer service oriented.

They do a great job. I have been going to them for years. Quick and efficient. Nice people, helpful. Costs are reasonable. I trust them, which is rare in auto mechanics. Tim (the owner) is spectacular. I've been here times before but my visits are years apart. Partly because once Tim and his crew fixes it you are good and no return visit needed. Always available and honest opinon is always given. GREAT SERVICE. WILL HIGHLY RECOMMEND.Thanks for being available even on a NC snow day.

Tim is awesome! Just moved to the area and he was recommended by a friend. Showed up unannounced looking for a brake job. He was able to accommodate me and did a quick, efficient and thorough job. I found my mechanic!

Honest mechanics. Quick and friendly service. This is my new go to place for repairs and vehicle related needs. I came in because my break light stayed on after the car is turned off. It just drains the battery completely by the morning. I read up online that this is often caused by a small plastic piece connected to the break pedal getting damaged. I came in intended to drop my car off. The guy took a look and confirmed that it is a quick fix. He went to his draws, got another plastic piece out and replaced it right there and then. He could easily have told me to come back and charge me an unreasonable price for labor or parts. I know a lot mechanics would do just that. I ended up having my oil and filter changed since I felt the need to at least pay them for something.

I've been taking my car to them for a couple of years. They do a good job and are pretty up front with what I need, what it's going to cost and whether or not it's something I could wait on or not. I really trust them to not screw me over on the cost and to get the job done right. They do run a little behind (time wise) sometimes but I am forgiving because the service is worth the wait. (Try them on a week day, that seems to not be as busy).Great guys!

I love this place. They provide an excellent value with an honest and ethical approach that is difficult to find elsewhere in automotive service businesses. They wont lie or sell you random things you don't need. They don't try and upsell or take advantage of customers with a lack of general automotive knowledge. They just offer fast, quality service at affordable prices. Nothing more.... nothing less.

I have taken my car in twice now to pit stop of cary. First time, had my flex pipes replaced and are an amazing price and they are very punctual in getting you out as quick as possible but still doing quality work. My second visit was just yesterday and I had to get a full wheel bearing assembly done. He had to call in the piece and had it within 15 minutes and me out of there within an hour and a half. Price was a little high but definitely the lowest but didn't mind paying a little more since I knew the quality of work in which they do. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I dropped my car off 3 times with no work ever being done... I called ahead each time, either that day or the day before and each time I was told they would be able to get to it that day and assured me that they could do the repair itself. Dropping it off each day at 9:00am and each time arriving that afternoon near closing time with my car sitting at the same spot I left it, saying they didn't have time. Over $60 in Uber fees later my car still isn't fixed.

Quick. Friendly. Nicely priced. I called in 10 minutes prior to arrival and they serviced me right away. I don't live in this area, but if I have to come back this is where I'm going!

Old school garage feel and the level of service I remember from growing up in the country. They care about their customers and it shows. I will always take my vehicles to Tim at Pit Stop.
