Starting to get overpriced. They were asking 150 for a part, that after calling around, was going for 50-60 dollars everywhere else. Two weeks earlier we had a similar experience on a separate vehicles bumper. Quality of the product was not the difference maker. No other extenuating circumstances.

I bought a steering column from Speedys. They had painted all the screws to change the steering coupler so you couldn't remove them without voiding the warranty. I put the column in to find out that the steering coupler needs to be changed. Now I have to pull it all back apart to change what would have been a 2 minute job on the bench. Also, when I do I'll void the warranty. THANKS SPEEDYS!!!!!

**response to your response**Apparently lying is a normal practice for this business, because there was nobody else in the reception room with us back then (no other sales people or customers). Not sure what kind of various arm slinging and hand gesturing you re talking about, sounds more like something what Chris did tbh. Not sure why suddenly it was not ok to negotiate $50 off this time considering that I always(!) did it, including a few weeks prior when I bought a bunch of other parts from you.We DID NOT previously agree on the price because I 1.never called you about it, 2. When I came a week before - one the thing I asked was if you maybe have some damaged qt panel that you wouldn t normally post for sale! He said no, and that s it. So that s a lie too. Y all need to grow up and stop lying and exaggerating.$50 is not worth all this drama for me, a specially considering that this is not the only place I can buy a qt panel from.**original review**The worst junk yard I had to deal with so far. Bought many times from them and I was always forgiving, considering that the condition of their parts that they would bring sometimes was poor (borderline not acceptable). This time I needed a quarter panel from them, which they sell for $350.This is how our conversation with Chris was:Me: I know it s 350, but can you do $300, to compensate $40 that I ll have to pay in fees and taxes.Him: NoMe: can you go down a little at least?Him: listen I remember you called me earlier this week and I told you the price beforehand.Me: I never called you about it but I did come here last week to ask if you had some rear ended car maybe because all I need is a piece that goes between the door and a wheel, I don t need the whole thing.Him: well, it s $350, if you don t like fees pay with cash.Me: whatever, let s do it for 350 then.Him: whatever ?! Get out of here, with your attitude, I don t want to deal with you any longer.Me: What? What did I say?Him: Coming to my country with this attitude, get out of here now, get out!(I do have some Russian accent, that s why he knew I m an immigrant).Me: Ok.Price negotiation is a normal thing in this business, and I do this all the time, including speedys, always.Very unprofessional behavior by the salesperson (Chris), and very disrespectful towards America loving immigrants. Good thing there s a bunch of other junk yards that will deliver to my shop for free. I will no longer be working with this junk yard and if I was you I wouldn t work with them neither. Also read Chris responses to the other bad reviews, very disrespectful and unprofessional.

I'm semi-new to the area (from ATL. lived in Asheville area '14-'17, before moving back to the A. Moved back to Asheville area two mos ago...YAYERRR!!), so I hadn't visited Speedy's prior to this visit (so far, my 1st & only visit, but def not the last!). Wasn't sure that to expect, seeing as it's a salvaged, used auto parts-type biz. Brakes on my new-to-me, used 2016 Kia Soul were dangerously bad. More specifically, bad master cylinder was to blame. Long story short (?? Lolol), came prepared w/ tools, fully expecting that I'd have to remove MC myself. As it turns out, all I needed to do was show up, let front desk guys know who I was & part request #, then go sit in my car until one of them poked their head outside & gave me the ok to go in...still wasn't aware that w/in that 10min time-frame, one of their guys had already removed the MC & brought it up front, ready to go! Just had to go inside & pay! Not only was it hundreds less than ANYWHERE else w/in a 300mi radius, new or used, the entire process was a literal breeze! In & out in 30mins! 'hardest' part was the 20min drive, which is PARADISE compared to Atlanta traffic! Lol Customer service is decent as well.

I am the owner of an automotive repair shop. Had a customer who's rear end went out in there Chevrolet S-10 truck. It was gonna be much cheaper to replace with a used unit, rather than a complete rebuiId. I contacted Speedys (whom I have purchased quite a few parts from since opening my business in 2014). They were able to find me a rear end for the vehicle. It had to be shipped and took about a week to receive. When the rear end arrived we did not pull the rear cover off at that time for inspection. We pulled the vehicle in to install the rear end. Removed the old rear end. Before installing the new/used rear end, the customer calls and wants to hold off on the repair. Reason being was, he had just purchased this used vehicle and the seller told him he would find him a rear end and install it for him. I told the customer there would probably be a restock fee on the rear end, but I would call and ask. I contacted Chris at Speedys, and told him the situation. His response was, sorry you should have gotten your money first and declined to take the item back. I responded okay. Contacted the customer and explained to him the issue. He said, just go ahead and install the used rear end. So we did. Got it installed, started to pull the cover off and immediately seen water coming out first. After the cover was off there was definitely and issue. Clumps of rust, and gunk. (See attached pictures). I contacted Chris and told him the problem. I offered to send him pictures, but he declined and hung up on me. They picked the rear differential up a couple days later. I contacted Chris two days after that to see about getting the money refunded to my credit card. He stated, that I could have used that rear end if I'd put in a little effort to clean it. Really? So you want me to clean it, knowing there has been water in this thing and send my customer down the road in it!!! That's not how I do business!!! In a matter matter of months (they offer 90 day warranty) this item could experience bearing problems due to all the rust and material in there, even though it would have been cleaned. I'm not willing to take that chance and have to explain to my customer why it needs all the bearings replaced 6 months down the road. (now it's on me and not Speedy's with there 90 day warranty.) Even after the call today he still refused to refund my money and has the rear end!! So now I'm having to file disputes with my credit card company and wait. I honestly cannot believe the rudeness and plain out disrespect for your customers. I would cautiously advise about purchasing anything from them. I attached pictures but they have not shown up.

Great service and even more wonderful prices! Called the regular auto parts stores, AutoZone, Advanced Auto, etc and they wanted $240-300 for an alternator. Speedy's had it for $60 the same day!! Excellent deal!

I have worked with them several times in my driving years and not only were they great to me(glad I was a patron and treated me as so) they worked quickly, efficiently and was able to find me parts for my cars that NOONE ELSE in Asheville could find or even point me in a general direction. This is the only place I use to service any of my card! 10 outta 10 highly recommend

I needed a 1998 Honda CRV alternator quickly!! I had been told it would be hard to find. I called Speedy's around 9 a.m. on Friday and was told there was ONE showing in the system. :) He asked me to hold for a minute while he went to the parts department to make sure it was there and had been tested. He brought it back to the customer service area and had it waiting for me when I arrived!! I was able to get it to the mechanics before they closed! Great Customer Service!! :)

Got a bad part but i did get a warranty so that was ok. Guy at service counter was a little irritated when i came 30 mins to closing but considering they weren't closed still did business with me. Probably won't use them again cause i really needed the help and just got the feeling they weren't the helpful type.

Great! Needed tail light assembly for 2011 Hyundai Vera Cruz; dealer said I was on my own, as Hyundai had none . Speedy seemed to have the only one available in the country. Got it to me quickly at a fair price. Thanks!

PLEASE READ ALL FOR THE TRUTH!!! Do not deal with this bunch. We ordered a rear end for a Jeep. Pre-paid on Tuesday and waited for almost 2 weeks. Called and Chris told us that he had been out of the office and would have to check. Wherever they ordered it from had the wrong one. He called and said he would pick one up that day. Sounds good. We picked it up and took it to the mechanic. He opened it to put in the oil and it poured water and metal shavings. The gears were pitted and the pinion bearings wouldn't turn. Totally not going to put it on the Jeep. When we went back to request a refund with the receipt that says you have 30 days to return we were told no way. Chris was very smug and told us they didn't give refunds even if it is a damaged part. I read the other reviews and it is never his mistake or fault. I'm sure he will come up with something but truth is it's a sorry place and everyone needs to avoid them. Ok the only way to respond to the owners comments is to edit my original. My husband was not looking for another defective part he ask for a refund for a totally useless part. Yes he was mad and your Chris was rude and condescending. We just got ripped off for 400.00. If "good service" is what you are offering please credit my card and you will get the pile of junk you sold us back. Also what part of my story wasn't true or do you always cheat people and then call them liars. Oh yes you do just read the reviews.

These guys came highly recommended by a friend and he was right. I was a little skeptical at first, but once I saw the operation, I was impressed. Like a well oiled machine, they're slinging quality parts out the door. You can literally save hundreds of dollars buying low mileage used parts from here. I believe some even qualify for a 90 day warranty, so keep your receipts if they don't work perfectly.

Called about getting a transmission for my car. The guy was nice and friendly. Told me they were behind on pulling parts. Ask for my name and number and said it would be about a week. Well the week is up but no one has called me back yet...Update: It has now been 16 days since I initially called. Still have not heard from Speedys. They should change there name to Grannys.I am going to LKQ tomorrow to get a transmission. I can't wait anymore.

Unwilling to answer simple questions about parts. Very rude and condescending! Of course after forever and a day, they bring the part out and exactly what I was trying to ask is what's wrong with the part. Went to Johnson's down the road, part was ready in 10 minutes and cheaper. Save your time and $. Would give zero stars if it were an option. I keep hearing the name Chris in other bad reviews. Guessing he is the larger bald guy working the counter. That's who was extremely unhelpful and rude to me.

Very dissapointed. We are a reputable shop. We always order things from out of state and never run into problems like this. Customer service was great before the part was purchased however when we recieved the part, they never told us how badly the condition was, like most places will do. And now we have to pay for the shipping and restocking fee to send it back?? VERY unprofessional and makes it seem like currency is the only thing they're willing to help for. There's more to life then money!!! I asked multiple times if the Cylinder head were in decent shape and all I got was a head thats been sitting outside in the sun for years. ASK FOR PICTURES!! Way to go guys!to reply to your reply:As a shop thats been in business for 30 years you should know it's not what we want at the end of the day its what the customer wants. So if our customers want to go the used heads route that's the route we will go, & since you have been in business for 30 years when a customer asks for pictures it should be given. Especially when the valve cover has been off for a year !!!
