We had a positive experience! The staff was friendly, helpful, and honest. The owner went out of his way to address the concerns I had based on the first test drive. I felt safe, we got a good deal, and our daughter is thrilled with the car. I would not hesitate to recommend.Update: about 3 weeks after we bought the car, it wouldn t start. We had not purchased a warrantee, but the owner drove out to our house (almost 30 minutes each way) and fixed it for us for free! He found a loose clamp on the battery.

BJ and Samire provided outstanding customer service and went above and beyond for me when I was purchasing my Honda Fit!! They were very responsive to my questions and had a genuine interest in helping me find a good fit. (pun intended).I would highly recommend this place of business to anyone looking for used cars! It was worth the drive from Charlotte to find a car that I absolutely love!Thank you again for all of your help in this car-buying process. I hope to do business with you all in the future!

While I didn t find the type of vehicle I was looking for, BJ was very friendly and approachable (unlike most car dealerships). They have a great selection and a very down to earth environment. I will definitely check with them first whenever time comes for me to purchase another car. Thank you again BJ

We purchased a good quality used car from Payless earlier this week. BJ & Payless were great to work with. He answered several of my questions over the phone. I told him my wife and son would come look at the vehicle around 1pm. BJ was kind enough to hold the car until they arrived. No high pressure sales tactics, and great follow up/communication. A well represented car at a very fair price with no $495 - $795 doc fees. Thanks for your attention and dedication to your customers and such a smooth buying experience! I am hoping to buy another car from you soon for my mom.

The owners were very kind to me and did not pressure me into buying a car. They were very responsive and answered all my questions. However, the car I wanted to test drive needed a jump to get started. The owner explained the battery was cold from sitting in the lot in the cold weather. I understand this is true. However, if they want to instill confidence in the mind of the customer, they should run their cars frequently enough that the batteries don't need a jump when the customer wants to test drive a car.Also, one of the tires was very low, and it made me wonder if there was a small leak in the tire. I know a used vehicle selling for $5,000 is not going to be perfect, but I'd suggest they present the cars as best as possible so customers can feel confident about what exactly they're buying.I'm not angry; I just didn't have a great experience. Other people have had great experiences with them.

Great dealership. Would buy another vehicle from BJ in a heartbeat. He really goes the extra mile. This business is ran by a family who cares about details and that you are well taken care of. They re easy to talk to and will listen. Very honest and understanding with your situation. Not your typical used car lot. Please give this place a chance before making your decision!

Good used car at a very fair price. The Sienna I purchased needed a few minor repairs/maintenance items which was factored into the final price for a good deal. No hidden fees, no high pressure to buy (which is great for having car looked at by your own mechanic). I would gladly return for future purchases. Have since put 9k miles on car with no surprises.

The owners were very kind, they held my car over the weekend until I could come pick it up on Monday. They were honest and explained everything to me carefully. They re very respectful and truthful. Highly recommend, It is a Great place to buy a used car!

BJ is an honest and dependable owner who truly wants to make sure his customer is happy with their purchase. I have NEVER experienced the compassion I was shown by BJ. He stands behind his vehicles to make sure there are no issues AND he stands behind his WORD when he tells you he won't sell anything if he thinks there is a problem. Prior to my visit there where I had expressed an interest in a particular car, he told me the check engine light had come on, took if off lot until his mechanic could check it out. Once he was satisfied all was ok, he let me know. A HUGH plus with a purchase at this dealership is "he doesn't change a processing fee" and his prices are right on target with Kelly Blue Book. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a good, dependable vehicle to call BJ. A HAPPY CUSTOMER IN VA

Man this have been the best experience for me. BJ and the young lady have been such amazing in helping me find the prefect car for my daughter. I love the fact that BJ was honest and professional even my dad was telling me that he know who he need to go to purchase his next car. BJ THANK YOU AND KNOW THAT MY DAUGHTER IS SO HAPPY.

We have had a great experience at Payless Motor in Burlington, NC. We have actually purchased 2 vehicles from here and can say that both times have been great. As noted on the website, there are NO hidden fees! This was a great feeling ... to know that the price is the price!If you're looking for a great value for an used vehicle, we highly recommend that you call or stop at Payless Motor and talk to BJ! He makes sure that each customer receives the attention he or she deserves. His customer service is outstanding! Our most recent purchase was for one of our teenagers and BJ helped us get a great vehicle at a great price. BJ takes time to listen to your needs and doesn't try to oversell anything. I purchased a great vehicle from Payless Motors last week. I did extensive research on local dealers and found Payless Motors had super recommendations from neighbors. BJ, the owner, is straight forward and wants you to be a customer for life. He doesn't just want to move inventory. He wants you to have a reliable vehicle that fits your needs and your budget. I am happy with my purchase and feel confident I got a good deal. If you're in the market for a good used vehicle at a great price and want a pleasant buying experience, go see BJ at Payless Motors.

My wife and I bought a used car from Payless Motor Sales in Feb. 2021, and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The guy there was kind and very helpful. We certainly recommend this dealership if you're in the market for a used car!

I had an unfortunate experience with Payless Motor Sales. I bought a 09 Ford Taurus from them and three days later my car broke down. After having two mechanics taking a look at it they both came to the same conclusion that I had a blown head gasket. Their was also water and oil found mixed together after pulling out the dip stick under the hood and was determined that I also needed to replace the engine. Both mechanics stated that I haven't driven the car long enough to produce that kind of damage to the car. After contacting BJ about the issue with my car, he did not believe the report from the mechanics. He simply said that "Anything could happen with these cars" and that " My car must have overheated and that's why it broke down". But regardless if a car is in good condition (which he stated on his website) and was worth the $4500 price, it would not have broken down in three days. Any car that breaks down that quick already had problems to begin with. BJ did not take responsibility of selling me a bad car. If BJ did not cheat me out of my money as he claim he didn't, he definitely did not have someone carefully inspect the car before putting this car on his lot. He was nice enough to offer me $500 to help fix the problem because I wasn't able to purchase the warranty to began with, but that wont help me at all because to replace the engine in $3,000. If you decide to buy from this company be careful, have a mechanic to look at the car before purchase and if you cant afford the warranty don't purchase it at all because his business is not reliable!

We went to Payless looking for a decent car and a good price. BJ the owner is very friendly and helpful. He also doesn't charge an admin fee - the price you negotiate is what you pay (plus taxes and DMV fees, etc of course). Many of his cars are salvage repairs and they do excellent work on them. He even showed us pictures of the car before repair to help judge the extent of damage, etc. But he also has clean title used cars too. We were very happy with the experience!

We helped our grandson purchase an Elantra from Payless. They were excellent to deal with. The owner was available by phone even after hours. He sold the car at a fair price and had no hesitationn in letting my grandson take the car to be checked out at Womble Auto Repair. We would definitely buy from him again.

Met w BJ, made the deal and drove home. He was very fair and a pleasure to talk to and deal with. He was honest in his dealings. There was a hitch w the insurance policy number but he was able to take care of it without another visit.

Found a nice car here. Well, nice for used. Price was very reasonable, considering it Is auto sales.... BJ , the owner, was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend Payless as a good place to shop.

I just bought a car from BJ. If you are looking for an honest, friendly auto dealer, this is the place. I would come back and buy from BJ again. Also, a big plus is no document fees added on at the end. One less thing to worry about.

This has to be the worst place to ever do business with, they sold me a lemon. Transmission was leaking a few weeks after the purchase then I called to ask about the warranty it came with and I was told it was void. Trust me, don t buy from them you ll regret it in the end.
