Extremely friendly and honest crew. I had a custom muffler replacement done and they suggested which ones would sound the best on my vehicle based on my preferences. The prices for the work done were extremely reasonable, and they even offered to do more work that was needed on the spot for another very reasonable fee. I decided no at the time for that, but will definitely be returning to this business to have that work completed soon.United muffler is definitely the place to go if you want great prices on exhaust repairs, or if you want a custom job done to make your car sound more fun. Can't recommend them enough.

Best muffler shop in Boone. Fair prices, quick work, super friendly and always love to talk cars. Always happy to go the extra mile, offer options for you and love to do custom work if that s what you are looking for!

Had some custom exhaust work done here a few weeks ago, super happy with the way it turned out. Great guys who do great work at a very reasonable price. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone in the Boone area looking to get some exhaust work done.

We use them for our fleet vehicles at Mountaineer Heating & Cooling and they are awesome. Just had a fleet truck there and the truck sounds so good now - like new! Worst muffler shop in boone nc way over priced and if you don't stay and watch every move they make they just do what they want to make it cheap and fast with very minimal material and charge you for alot of material and time wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I've taken my FJ and Pathfinder here, and these guys are the real deal. Extremely friendly, passionate, and detailed in their work. They're also very good at explaining everything they're doing to your vehicle as well. 5/5 will definitely bring more cars hereService: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Definitely recommend! Very friendly, courteous, fair, & honest service, in my experience. Also, super fast! I dropped my car off at 8:30, received a call 10 minutes later with the assessment, & was called again by 9:30 telling me that my car was ready!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

I love going to United Muffler because the guys are always so nice & curious. They take care of everything I need them to do for my car. I've never called ahead or made an appointment but they always take my car within 10-15 minutes. They are very affordable, and they are a great local business.

Great experience and fantastic price! was having a hard time finding someone who would fix muffler. after one place did not have the right person at work that day I just walked in. They immediately put my truck up, told me what I needed, did the work and I was out in 20 mins. And all at a great price. I'll use them again!!!!!Service: Exhaust

They were great, pulled up thinking I needed a whole new muffler and it was just a part of exhaust pipe and I was out in 20 minutes. They were so professional and friendly. Shawn and Derrick did an awesome job on repairing my exhaust on my Subaru that had completely rusted apart from the salt on the roads. They were professional and kind and went to work right away to get me back on the road. I can't thank them enough and the good work they completed on my car. This is the first Google review I have written. I've been a patron at this shop for at least 15 years with many of my cars serviced here. I phoned a week ago for a reservation. Given my vintage car, the helpful employee recommended a 3pm time slot on the following Friday. I said that's fine, I'll drop my car off in the morning of that day. I put it on my calendar, and dropped the car at 10am after scheduling a ride. When I arrived, I was greeted with "OK, so what are we doing here.". I explained I had made an appointment for 3pm, but dropping the car earlier day. I saw where they wrote my name, car & phone at the top of the morning of a $6 calendar book. It made it look like 7am. No details about the 3pm time slot or what was to be done. From there, I got chewed out by a twenty-something with a chip on his shoulder. Bottom line - if you call in advance to make an appointment, it's best to redundant confirm because they may make a mistake with any of the details of your appointment - especially on a Friday. This shop does good exhaust work, but is not good with business practices - the latter used to be better.Service: Exhaust

Great quality, and price! Workers were very polite and did a fantastic job! I was in and out and they made my corvette sound amazing. Highly would recommend these guys. Took my truck to the shop up the street and they did horrible, welded on my frame and used jb weld, and charged me $275 to have my mufflers replaced with pipe. DO NOT GO TO CUSTOM MUFFLER!!!

Very fast. Quick to say hello how can I help you. Took my car keys pulled in my car checked it all and sent me on my way in about 15 mins. With a full very well checked inspection. Thank you!! Will be back again.

Great service, friendly staff (except for Derrick, LOL J/K!) And a job well done! I had a cracked muffler and section of my downpipe replaced where it had been rubbing my front driveshaft. These guys did a great job, and for a more than fair price!

I have went to this place for years and always support local business. Since the ownership has changed hands over the last couple of years the customer service has been awful and prices are super higher with any type of job. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

I went to get a noise looked at, and it turns out my belt tensioner was loose and had worn down the retaining bracket. Instead of replacing the bracket by removing the six bolts holding it in place, he first tried to drill and tap a new hole, weld two DIFFERENT SIZED screws together, and then installed that. When that inevitably broke, he was going to replace the whole front of the engine (Subaru). Cost me $900 of him being an untrained hack before I had the thought to call the dealer who fixed his mess plus the original issue in 2 hours for $350. Oh, and the mechanic offered me a discount if I paid in cash (I used a card) which in hindsight was probably to avoid a paper trail I could use against him in court.

The guys did a great job building an exhaust for my 87 Chevy truck. I told him what I was looking for and they did a great job getting it just right. Keep up the good work boys.
