Jimmy and the guys here do great work and I recommend anyone who has a issue with their car come take care of it here

This place profits off of people s tragedies. They get called by the State Troopers to pick up wrecked cars at the scene of the accident. They don t mention pricing or storage. They charge $308 to tow plus $110 if they winch the vehicle. Then they tack on $40 a night storage. Of course, they offer to dispose of the car for you and drop the bill if you pay them $100. Then they can sell your car for easily over $1000. (This is why they charge outrageous rates.) The owner thinks since he charges everyone the same that it s fair. It s not. It s rip off. It does not cost your business $418 dollars to pick up a vehicle, and I can understand charging people storage if they are dragging their feet, but I scheduled a pick up immediately. Pick simply wasn t possible for a couple days. Charging $120 for three nights from an accident in which families are dealing with medical care and insurance is ridiculous. Stay away from this business until they change their policies. I hope this review makes them think about it.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Sunday morning I was involved in a car accident off of 903. The other car involved in the accident ran off of the road and knocked the power lines loose. After coming around the corner 10 minutes later, the lines were hanging into the road, catching into my car. The power line was knocked down and my car resulted in damages that would cost more to fix my car rather than to purchase a new one. At the scene of the accident, highway patrol had my car towed without my consent. Due to having to repair the power lines, they needed to tow my car immediately to get it off of the highway. I told the officer that I had Triple A, but calling would not be necessary because they already contacted the tow company.When I go to pick up my car, they charged me $388.They were disrespectful and called my boyfriend dumb when we were trying to explain our frustration, being that we could ve been seriously injured and hurt in an accident that we were not at fault to.Now, I have to pay nearly $400 to have my car back?What a scam Nothing but crooks here.

I always have a pleasant experience here.Being a certified technician myself I know and understand the cost of running a service center.They are genuinely fair an very professional and reasonable here .I was not compensated in way shape or form for this endorsement of their business.Thank you

Very pleasant frony desk. Very nice but beware-- mechanics are known to 'make/cause' more issues to vehicles to force you to come back and spend more money. After putting quite a bit in my vehicle, thought everything was good. A week later My vehicle has 'transmission issues' took to a different mechanic and even he stated how capital employees are known to 'mess with' vehicles...

I can drop my vehicle off with little notice and get it back in a timely manner. I have multiple friends who take their cars there and have had the same POSITIVE experience of which I speak. The staff are professional and timely in getting repairs (and inspections) done when promised. Been using these guys for several years for multiple cars' repairs including tires, cvc joint replacement, oil changes, air conditioning and brake servicing.

One of the wrecker truck drivers almost and with purpose T-boned my vehicle tonight. I'm glad I had good brakes. Seems like this place is that desperate for money. He saw my vehicle coming and sped up to cut me off! I had my children in the car for crying out loud!

I was driving home from the coast when my car started smoking. I was left stranded on Route 11S. My insurance company spoke with Dean several times to assure him that I was fully covered. He had one of his guys/employees call me at 6pm THE NEXT DAY and tell me to call Dean personally. Isn t this why we have insurance to begin with. He was rude and talked down to me making it blatantly clear that I know nothing about car insurance because I m a woman. My car was stranded for over 24 hours because of this. I still haven t gotten my car. I d rather walk home than deal with this place.

So, I went to get an inspection there. Once they were done goofing off and actually finished the inspection, the lady at the front counter told me the cost. It was miraculously $10 higher. She said it was because my windows were tinted. Yeah, my car is 100% stock. The mechanic said that he must've miss typed that, because he was on the phone. Bad, not to mention lazy, excuse. If they have business ethics to stiff someone out of $10, just think what they would do if you weren't there!

A charity I volunteer with has been using Capitol automotive for hauling a fork lift maybe 3 times a year not only do we pay them for the service but we give them dates and times way ahead of time and also call to remind them well today they where supposed to bring the forklift to us at 5pm we call after waiting around and the owner says I just dont want to deal with yall today um excuse me when your secretary was called and reminded about today hours before this should have been mentioned his exact words where find someone else thankfully after a volunteer pleading with him to get the fork lift they finally showed putting our volunteers who have familys and also worked full time jobs out here still having to work past 11pm because the forklift was delivered 2 hours late due to this man's poor customer service and attitude I will never recommend anyone to this place again

I told myself i wouldn't get caught up in writting this but after inspection of their work, I just need to earn people.My truck went in their shop due to water in the gas. One would think it was a simple fix, syphen out gas, bleed lines, add fresh cash with additive. I would have done this but I was continually on the road with work. We were estimated $300. Seemed reasonable.A few days later I'm told my truck would not crank or start. They said that the aftermarket security system would not allow it to crank. At any point in the 5 yrs I've owned this truck I have never had the issue. Randy, the shop head told me it was their fault and it would be taken care of.After the security system was removed it still would not crank nor start. I was told the ecm or pcm magically blew up. The truck cranked over multiple times before ever going to this shop. I have testimony from a garage previous that the truck left there cranking. Randy himself told me the truck cranked when it was dropped off. But neglected to take responsibility for any thing other than tripping the security system.However life goes on and i desperately needed my truck. So I personally purchased a new pcm and had it shipped to the shop.A few days later I get a call saying that my body control module is now magically bad... a pcm and a bcm (fuse panel) would not both go if it wasn't a disrupution on the electrical system. So now I'm buying a second hand bcm from a junk yard.Well I finally got the truck back in running order with a bill of $1600. All for water in my tank. As I recently returned from work I inspected the work done. Panels were thrown everywhere inside my truck, the gas line connection that connects to my filter is zip ties back on, there are dirty tags stuffed in places all under the hood, sites dangling from under steering wheel, my low beams no longer work, and there is a huge scrape on my driver door. I would not recommend this garage to my worst enemy. We're new to the area I just guess it's a very expensive lesson learned.DO NOT GO TO CAPITAL AUTOMOTIVE. We much rather suggest Luies across from the post office in ayden. Hope this helps anyone in the future.

I can't speak about Capital Automotive's quality of work, because I would not let them service my car. But I CAN attest to the owners unscrupulous and unethical business practices.I had asked their wrecker service to come tow my Toyota Avalon. When his son got there, he promptly backed into the rear bumper, causing a large dent and several scratches off the paint! The driver, popped out the bumper and said it was O.K. It wasn t.I asked the owner, Mr. Dean McLawhorn to please have his insurance company reimburse me the $346.69 for damages. He never would, only letting me know in a recorded message; "I have a buddy who will do it for cheap." Yeah, right. My advice is to look elsewhere for your automotive services.

Went to get an oil change and a couple weeks later my drain plug came out. Almost lost my motor. Will never go here again.
