My son was visiting Asheville when his car died. We were pretty sure it was an alternator issue and had it taken here. Andrew was awesome! He diagnosed the issue called me and explained all that needed to be done very clearly and in terms I could understand. He answered all my questions and they fixed the car for us. I appreciate the fact that they did not take advantage of the fact we were out of town and my so was on his own. Great service and I would highly recommend them.

I've been going to AAA for all of my oil changes, inspections, and service needs for six years now, and I have consistently felt listened to, respected, and genuinely cared for by everyone there. Whenever I have had an issue or a concern, the guys at AAA have gone above and beyond to make it right and to ensure that I have a safe vehicle to drive. I am grateful to have a kind, reliable, highly skilled team to turn to. Definitely recommend!

I came in without an appointment because my car was smoking. The quote for repairs was too expensive for me, the situation was urgent so I bit the financial bullet and agreed to have the work done. When finished, they surprised me by cutting the overall price by half. I have no idea why they did this, and I'm incredibly grateful. Car is running beautifully now. Thank you!

I was on a road trip on a busy Saturday when my brakes started giving me issues. They sorted the warranty with my local AAA mechanic and got me fixed up and in the road. They were friendly, professional, and so helpful. Thanks, y all.

I am a big fan of AAA. We ve had several different cars serviced here over the past 7 years and we ve always been satisfied. Most recently we took a teardrop trailer tire in to be replaced because it was worn only on the inside part. The tech correctly diagnosed the problem as it was slightly canted toward the inside causing the tire to wear unevenly. The tire was ordered and ready the next day - a member disc was given and we were happy to pay a total of just $113. 00.If you are searching for a mechanic I highly recommend AAA. We haven t used their travel services so I can t comment on that aspect.

Alex Showers was extremely professional, prompt, and SO careful. I could not have dreamed of a better person to help us when our car needed a tow. The front wheel fell off of our car and Alex did an AMAZING job of scooping up our car without causing any additional damage. I am so grateful to him. Hatton s and AAA have a great employee with Alex. Very satisfied with the service and attention he provided.

Stopped here while traveling when my car showed loss of tire pressure. They worked me in even though they were short-handed, found a screw in my tire, and got it fixed quickly. Everyone was super nice too.

Threatened my kid that if car that was in due to break down, not moved immediately, would tow ($100), then $25 storage fee per day. AAA estimate for repair was $1500, so we needed one more day to find a mechanic. Nope. "Move today". We had it towed to house ($100), and found a mechanic the next day for less than $500 repair, but the impatient threat from Bryan cost us an extra $100 tow. One more day would have given us a free tow to a good mechanic. These guys overcharge, and rush you out the door. Cars are brought here from AAA calls automatically if you don't tell them different. So people get sent here and taken advantage of when already broken down.Shame.Don't go here.

I have never written a google review but decided that the extreme negligence of AAA of Asheville needs to be publicized. That is how bad AAA of Asheville is.I took my truck to this shop on Nov. 23 and told them I thought there was an issue with the motor, that the night before my motor had been smoking from under my hood, and I checked the oil and there was none. The manager Andrew called me 2 days later to tell me there was nothing wrong with the motor, no oil leak, and that it would be $2,000 to fix my power steering system. I paid them the $2,000 and picked my truck up that afternoon. On Monday Nov. 27, three days later, my motor blew up while I was driving on a busy 4 lane road -- left me stranded in the middle of traffic. Shop then had my truck for 8 weeks to install a rebuilt motor. Paid a $4,000 deposit first week of Dec. Told me it would be done by Christmas, then New Years. Would not communicate with me. I had to keep calling for ETA. They took the week between Christmas and New Year off. No communication -- I found out when i called and was told that Andrew and the technician working on my truck had decided to take the week off. Then they promised me the truck would be ready by Friday Jan. 12. No communication. I had to call them. Nope not ready. New ETA: Tuesday Jan. 16. Nope, no communication. I had to call them. New ETA: Wed Jan. 17. Finally picked up my truck yesterday, Jan. 17. Paid $4,836.27. Then they take me to my truck which is running, idling, key in the ignition, in the middle of a public parking lot with no one attending it. Got in, drove it home. When I got home, I noticed, the driver side door lock is busted. They key in the ignition was not the original key I had given them. It was a new key. Today found out they "lost" my key. They had a new key made without my permission. When Andrew the location manager told me they had made a duplicate of my key, without first asking me, he had the audacity to say, "But you were'n't charged for it." When I asked to speak to his manager after that, Andrew refused to let me talk to his manager. First he told me he knew nothing about the situation. Then he told me he is the one who authorized the new key to be made. When I demanded to speak to his manager, he told me he he was not going to give me his manager's number. Spent almost $11,000.00 with this shop for them to deliver a DAMAGED VEHICLE to me TWICE.Do not use these scam artists. These people are unethical and dishonest. Worst shop I have ever been to. My dad was a mechanic and he never treated anyone like this. AAA Asheville should be ashamed. Avoid AAA in Asheville at all costs.

These guys were awesome when my engine shroud came loose on the highway on a road trip. They fixed it in 20 minutes, on a holiday, at no charge! That AAA Plus membership paid for itself.

I had an incredible service experience at this AAA facility. My car got towed in with a no start condition. One of the technicians spent 10 minutes diagnosing and working on the car and got it started. I was able to continue my drive to Indianapolis and the most amazing part is that they would not allow me to pay for the repair or tip them. They just asked that I stop there for service the next time I was in town and in need of service work.

I have AAA and got my car towed here thinking it would be the best option. They quoted me 1350, for everything. I went to pick it up and it was over 1800 dollars. 500$ more than it was supposed to be. They said they had to do something else but never cleared it with me.

The Asheville branch closes to early and it isn't quicker or more helpful to call the line for help to only be told. You need to figure out an application through text and we will get to you when we can. Just take the damn help number down if that's how you want to interact with your customers

We were in a Hertz rental car in northern Canada with a dead battery. After three hours of Hertz roadside assistance promising help with no results we called AAA/CAA. In 20 minutes a truck was there to help. We were so glad we had AAA.

Andrew was very helpful and friendly! I came into AAA to get my cars battery checked out. I was not sure what was wrong with it but Andrew went above and beyond to make sure it was looked at before the end of their business day. He pointed out that it was an AAA battery and drove it back into their shop to verify if it was still under warranty. Turns out it was still under warranty! They replaced the battery for me and I was good to go in under an hour!Great customer service that was quick and painless. Again I want to shout out Andrew who got me taken care of before they closed for the day. I 100% would want to work with him next time I am needing assistance from AAA.

We stopped in to get an international driving permit. Parking was very difficult due to the cars waiting for service. We went in and were helped immediately. It was a simple process. They took the photos and I filled out the application. About 20 minutes for the whole process. The representative was very helpful and of course tried to sell me a AAA membership. There was no pressure and I politely declined. They also have travel services that you can take advantage of.

I ve only begun my services with this particular branch, but I can tell you from the other local auto repair shops that I ve called previously interacted with recently for this particular problem with my car, I am so grateful to Bryan Cooper for being so patient with me and answering all of my questions, efficiently and effectively to the best of my lay person understanding. I will continue to use this company simply because of his outstanding customer service; even with it being a holiday weekend, he gave me time to talk my situation through with him. I wish I could give 10 stars to Mr. Cooper individually.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake repair, Brakes, Auto maintenance

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I called, they told me they could look at my car in a couple of hours. I took it there early morning. At 5:39, I called because I'd heard nothing all day. They did not get it in to look at it but was told they had finished all their work and would look at it in the morning. Day 2, I called, still not in. Late afternoon, still nothing. Day 3 early morning again and I'm just here for work for a few days, so I go there, obviously frustrated by now. The guy at the desk is telling me that after 2 solid days, they still can't tell me when they can look at it. I leave, get in the car with my daughter who has come to my rescue. The guy comes walking through the lot, I think he's going to tell me they are going to get it in today. Instead, he hands me the key and says go somewhere else, cusses at me and threatens me. My daughter was flabbergasted and made me write this review to warn others. As a side note, took it to another shop, done in 2 hours for $150.Just insane how I was treated.

Don t use AAA anymore (using Good Sam ) asThey ve gotten too big for their britches! Don t answer phone , use automated, hang up AND refuse to pay for what you have already paid for and do not provide services in a timely manner even in emergencies! Too many testimonies and horror stories ! They re not the same ! See YouTube channel Living the Dream titled: AAA Roadside Assistance 2022...

Let me start by saying if you join AAA for the travel benefits or discounts, I would think again. I have found those savings to be nominal or not at all. As far as the roadside assistance it is good, but read the fine print. Especially if you have a larger vehicle, truck or dually. However the car care center is great. They have a pleasant staff. Clean and neat facilities. Time efficient. I feel they go the extra step to check our vehicles. Pretty good price and value especially with the coupons we get all the time. Took my car to get oil change and they notified me that my brakes were near needing changing. (they were within a mm of needing change to save rotors. Verified by my husband) I was not surprised since my car has about 45000 miles on it with original brakes. Since we were leaving for vacation in a few days I went ahead and had them to change them. Only took about an additional hour. I have used their car care center for years and if not for that I would not have the membership.

We've been using AAA car care for about ten years now. We were loyal customers because they did good work, didn't try to sell us anything extra, and they were pretty friendly which all made up for them being pricier than other places we've been to. They must have come under new management sometime in the past five years because their service has declined ever since. Today was the last straw. We had our alternator replaced just after Christmas and had to get a new one because the one they initially put in didn't work. We had to leave our family vehicle there for two days and when I call to see if they can get me a ride there the man who answered was extremely rude, told me the system was down for their car service, and that sure my car was ready. I get there and it's not ready. The other man who talked to me gave no apologies for the obvious mistake on their part and even tried to get angry with me. I'm so tired of the toxic mechanic culture festering there; this place is not queer or women friendly.

Spent nearly $600 on a front wheel hub replacement and alignment. When I picked up my car the alignment specs were missing. How convienent! They said they forgot to save them electronically, and print them out so I had no way of knowing the results of the alignment or, if the alignment was even performed. I was charged $110 for this service. The manager told me to come back early Monday morning (7:30am) and he would put the car on the rack an document the alignment. He said I would be in and out in 30 minutes. I dropped the car off at 7:30am. At 2:30 I went back and the car was never worked on. I guess taking care of new customers ($$$) is a priority over taking care of work that is already paid for but not finished. The manager didn't seem to care that I was not happy about my experience.Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change
