We limped in our 2005 GMC Yukon, begging for help. The service manager promptly got Johnny to take a look. In no time at all, Johnny had diagnosed the problem; bad water pump and the thermostat needed changing. Good luck was smiling on us that day, between Candace and Johnny, they got us back on the road. From the time we arrived until the time we left was only hour and a half. Johnny knows his stuff (best I've ever seen, plus a great guy)) and Candace was such a great person to work with. I canhighly recommend them for their speed and customer service, great folks!

These guys are the BOMB!! If you're financing they'll get you approved and riding in no time! I've purchased a ton of vehicles but this was my best experience hands down! Shout out to Kevin and Darean they handled everything for me quickly and very professionally. I live in Wilmington, NC and they had my vechicle delivered to my door!! Referring to all my friends and family. 5 stars HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Well this is hard to say. I have been a customer of Strider GMC for about 32 years now. Just last week I dropped off my truck for a oil change and fuel filter change. And when I picked up my truck, I thought I was making a car payment. The bill was $400.00 just for oil, oil filter and fuel filter. That was it, nothing else. Come to find out Strider has been sold out to Vann York and prices went thur the roof. Vann York you mite want to remember this is not "Greensboro", this is a small country town that people don't make $35.00 a hour like the big city folks. With that being said, I went to high point the next week and had a big truck serviced at the dealership with 16 quarts of oil, oil filter and 2 fuel filter and greased the complete chassisand all fluid levels checked and topped off, and tire pressure checked and only paid $4 more for a big truck that took twice the parts and twice the oil. The reason we have been going to Strider for so long is the people that work there are top notch people very friendly and willing to help with reasonable prices, but now like everything, things has changed. The same nice people are there, but the price Gouging has got to stop. I would understand a little if you went in there and spent million dollars to upgrade that dealership but it looks the same as it did 30 yrs ago. And charging $12.15 for one quart of oil when high point is selling the exact same thing for $5.08 and charging $100.00 to change a fuel filter that takes less than 30 minutesto do. Come on Vann York don't ruin are local dealership with outrageous prices. Get right Vann York!REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSEIt was not a service issue it was a price Gouging issue. The service dept was top notch like I said previously. Your parts and labor is twice as much as a Big truck dealership, which does not make any sense. I have already called and went up there in person. The dealership use to be close in pricing with other local garages, but now your dealership has double in pricing for no apparent reason. I really hate a big city dealership moved to a small town and made it unaffordable.

I have to brag on this dealer, especially the sales consultant Marco. Marco couldn't do enough to make sure we were informed and comfortable every step of the process. My wife and I got the vehicle we wanted and were treated like family The normally dreaded financial sit down was simple with no b.s. sales pitch for stuff we did not need. These people gave us and our grandchildren a great vehicle, a no stress sale and most of all the small town service with high tech tools to get it all wrapped up. Kudos to the owner who hired Marco. You have a gem. Thank you for everything

I really enjoyed my buying experience at Strider's. My salesman, Brandon Williams, was excellent and helped set up all the new computer systems in my new truck when I took delivery. Everyone works together well as a team and are all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them as their service department, parts dept and business office personal are all top notch, too.

Last week, my wife s check engine light came on so she went online and scheduled an appointment (scheduled on Tuesday night for Wednesday morning). We took the car, dropped it off at 9am and they said the code being thrown (which we had already researched and knew to be the purge pump) was normal for this year make/model. We left the car and didn t hear anything all day. At 4:30, we called and was told they were smoke testing the car to find the problem, and they were having trouble doing so. The technician said we d get a call back from the lady handling the service department stuff (can t remember her name). After another hour of not hearing anything and realizing the internet said they were going to close soon, we called back to find that the service department was closed - yet no one called us, so we didn t know what we were supposed to do considering we didn t plan on being without our car for a prolonged period. The following morning I called at 8:30 or so and spoke to the lady at the service department. I mentioned us never being called before they close as we were told they would (and would seem to be standard practice) and she made the comment well you did make the appointment the night before. Makes zero sense though, if there are appointments then you should be able to do the work. She then said they d were trying to diagnose the problem (which I reminded her of the code and purge pump) and she said they hadn t determined that yet. The conversation ended with if that s the problem, the part is on national back order and we don t know when we ll get it. My wife got a call a few hours later that the problem was in fact the purge pump and one would be delivered to the dealership in 2 business days. National shortage, huh? They ended up replacing the part the next week and all was well. Oh and to make it better we got a letter from GM over the weekend of the pores it ll purge pump problem Needless to say, after the smart-elic staff and lack of communication, we will not be using them ever again and highly recommend you don t either.

My wife and I had already made our decision on a vehicle before we showed-up. This normally would have taken all of the sales pressure off of us when we arrived. But, most of the salesmen ignored us entirely. Only the one that we negotiated with over the phone spoke to us at all.The sale went about as smoothly as it could go. During the demonstration, the salesman seemed a little stuck when he couldn't get either of our phones to work with the vehicle's system. This didn't entirely surprise me. Our phones stopped working with our existing vehicles in 2019. I think the Android version was outmoded by either automotive systems or Android Auto.The customer waiting area seems to be exposed to multiple instances of vandalism. Noticing all of the seat cushions had temporary covers on them, which themselves seemed a bit tattered, I inspected further. The seat cushions themselves were definitely much worse. Usual niceties, such as coffee or snacks, are not offered, just water.An annoyingly-parked sports car was blocking part of the exit. I'm sure it was there for marketing purposes. Not only is this irritating, but it is probably unwise. A miffed customer, after unsuccessful negotiations, could take his frustration out on this annoyance. And, lawyers might have a hard time pressing a charge like that unless they could prove intent.

It was easy to make the appointment just 2 days ahead. When I got there, they were ready to take my can in. When I had specific instructions about my service, the service staff was very helpful. While I was waiting, I liked that there was a TV in the waiting area, which made my wait not so boring.

Come in due to a known issue with GMC back glass leaking( service report issued), only to find out they would not cover because I was about 2000 miles out of warranty. Also misdiagnosed the cause of the leak, saying I needed to pay for a replacement instead of repair. Not a lot of confidence in the capabilities of the technicians

I am beyond thankful for the service we got here at strider gmc! Marco did an extremely outstanding job! Marco made it really easy and was so transparent with everything. I personally have been to so many other car dealers and I was never once treated as outstanding as I was with Marco! He made sure I got all my questions answered! He went above and beyond! Outstanding service! I ran into an issue driving back from Christmas vacation and Strider was the closest GMC dealership. They bent over backwards to get me back on the road home. I had my two dogs with me and the staff went out of their way to make sure they were taken care of while my truck was being fixed. The kind people there came to visit them, bring them water and toys, and to make sure they were comfortable. My truck was fixed as quickly as I think is possible. Thank you for taking care of us (Clifford and Rosie love the chew toys).

Great experience buying a vehicle with Marco. He was very honest and transparent throughout the entire buying process and promptly answered any questions or concerns I had. I felt very comfortable going into the dealership the day of sale knowing that I was getting treated fairly and that I could rely on the team for assistance if I needed it. The day of sale itself was quick and easy. On top of all this, Marco went above and beyond when I was having issues registering my new car in another state. He acted as an excellent liaison between myself, the DMV, and the dealership in order to work through the logistical issues and help me on my way. I was very impressed with Marco's reliability and willingness to go the extra mile to address my concerns; I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle with him to anyone.

The service was an awesome experience. Purchasing not so much. I liked the salesman I worked with. He wasn t present when I picked up my vehicle because he and his family were on vacation. I worked with the sales manager to finalize the deal. He was great. He asked two younger salesmen to help him with it. I don t know exactly what he needed. They heard him but just sat and didn t move. One was white and one was black. They rudely ignored him. I couldn t believe it. He didn t say anything else to them. I am surprised he didn t sternly tell them to get up and help. When the papers were done, I got in my truck and left. Nobody explained anything to me. I had no idea what features it had or how to use them. It was never cleaned up for purchase. It was disappointing to say the least.

Currently having work done and the service department is top tier!!! They have perfected the art of customer service! So after my 2nd time bringing car in for the same problem paying for work twice I was told no problem with car even after I told them the light was still on when I came to pick it up. All they did was reset the light. I now am stranded with the same problem and my light is still on. Will not be back a 3rd tolime. I give every business a chance to correct the problem but will not continue to let them experiment on my dime

My salesman was wonderful. Other than that, very disappointing. After cleaning my new car, I found a small spot that had clearly been damaged and touched up with paint. I was given incorrect information about financing. I received a call after the purchase about an issue with the title/insurance. The man who called about the issue was rude and offensive. I am extremely disappointed.

I purchased my new (to me) car earlier this month at Strider after shopping for two months and everything has gone well since then. I was greeted by Harvey, whom I can only say good things about. He made sure I was happy with my purchase while respecting my budget. He sets the bar pretty high when it comes to hassle free buying. His professionalism and patience with me was very much appreciated. Every time I thanked him, he reminded me that it s his job to take care of the clients. While everyone I interacted with at Strider was kind, I highly recommend asking for Harvey to enhance your car buying experience.

Marco was incredible to work with. I wanted to order a new Subaru WRX. After sending him my build, he went out of his way to contact other dealerships to see if any of them already had one in stock. He found one in Virginia and had it brought down to North Carolina with no extra charge. That cut down my wait time from 3-6 months to two weeks. I can not recommend this dealership enough! Ask for MARCO!

As always, the staff at Strider are professional, helpful, friendly and competent. They are always willing to go the extra mile to care for my Vehicle. I just had a flat tire but they were willing to not only fix that with no appointment but completed the inspection so that I did not have to make 2 trips. Thank you, Strider!

Very evident that the staff and owners are Extremely friendly, helpful and understanding with respect to the customers needs and wants when selecting a vehicle. Jennifer, Marcos and Mr Strider himself attended to me personally which sealed the deal. Oh and I have to mention, they were more than fair on my trade in. A heartfelt THANKS to all of them. I highly recommend purchasing a vehicle at Strider.
