Today I bought my third piece of equipment at James River. I m extremely pleased with the entire purchasing experience of my most recent piece, a 3025e tractor.Price was fair. Modifications were done quickly and professionally. Sales paperwork couldn t have been simpler. Delivery was superb.Besides the smile on my son s face on the new tractor, the best part of the sales experience was the salesperson- Preston. He is extremely knowledgeable, a superb communicator, and always goes the extra mile. If you need a new piece of equipment, repair, or farm implement go to James River in Asheboro and ask for PRESTON.

I was extremely satisfied with my recent service on my riding mower. Guys did an outstanding job and I couldn't be more pleased. Dixon delivered it back today and looked like a new mower. I also believe Sean was involved as well and both were fantastic. Thank you so much. You went over and above.

Excellent service, above and beyond. Mower runs great after repairs. They fixed things that needed repair for no extra charge. Drop off and pick up for rod replacement, valve adjustment and a few other things in less than a week. Under 200$

Had to buy some bearings for my poultry house crestor. The parts man was unable to put all the necessary pizzas together by himself so he asked one of the repairmen to come help him. No time at all the guy had put together the necessary washers and bolts to make it work on my crestor. Great service, good job you guys!

Called James River location to get my JD Tractor serviced/ checked out. This was on a Friday, they said, can you bring it now. Advise they would get back to me the next week. A week later no updates. Following mid week, no updates, I call, yeah you are next, call you back in about 2 days, never did. About 3 days later, I call again, they say, yeah you are next, call you tomorrow, no call. 2 or 3 days later, I call again, it's Friday, will call you Monday, never did. Wednesday, I go in person, ask them anyone working on my tractor, they advise will get it today. I said, no, I am here to get it. I need at home.3weeks later. No apologies, no service. My tractor sat out for about 3 weeks, no one had any sense of urgency or apologies. I wonder if I wouldn't have made the many calls, how many months it would have sat there. Never again. Someone needs to step it up in service department. Really disappointing.

This place took my money and left me with a broken lawn mower. I had a old lt155 I payed them $1200 to fix in May. By July the belt had broke and bent a tensioner. Take it back under warranty and they claim the belt isn't covered. Want another $550 to replace it. I tell them to park it. I find time to get down and pick it up to get a $70 diagnostic fee. I understand if I wasn't already a customer. Or if I had a massive tractor. But I feel like I have been used in this situation and will never bring my business to another James river equipment again.

My 2155 John Deere was picked up for service with a list of multiple items to be fixed. Most important on the list was a coolant leak and the instrument cluster was not working. They did not fix either. The items on the list that were fixed you could tell were halfway completed.They said they "could not find a coolant leak". When the tractor was returned to me I immediately noticed a coolant leak on the ground. I found a loose clamp on a worn hose. It was obvious they did not attempt to resolve. They also charged me "diagnostic" fee for not fixing the issue.For the instrument cluster they took it apart to troubleshoot and said they could not purchase the part through John Deere. I told them never mind. The failure here was due to not reassembling the panel when they were finished. First time I used the tractor (after fixing the coolant leak myself) the instrument panel vibrated off and I lost the bolts. Unless you want to pay a high price for low quality effort do not take your tractor to these guys. You are better off fixing it yourself which is what I ultimately had to do after paying them $1900 with $500 of that being diagnostic work.Update 2/1/2023: I decided to do the repair myself. Turns out the continuing leak was due to a severely clogged up system. Very disappointing that professionals could not come to this conclusion. 1 star effort equals a1 star review.

The people and place was fine. Shame will probably loss my sale due to no trade in response. 2nd party never got in touch with me. The staff here were really nice.

Friendly people always..the service department has a great bunch of people... always answers my questions they do great and professional work on my lawnmower...I love how they will go over my lawnmower to see if there is something I haven't that might be wrong with my lawnmower...I wouldn't take me lawnmower anywhere else..

Very nice, pleasant visit. Husband & I were looking for a good, sturdy, dependable lawn mower, without breaking our bank. Had a very nice, friendly salesman, knew his job. Described mower, functions, extremely helpful. We bought it then. Ken Jaeck, is his name & knows his John Deere products very well. Highly recommend company, & this salesman.

Purchased a Zero Turn 530R. Josh worked through a few hoops to get one ordered. The attachments were on back order. I was able to use the Mower this week. Talk about a slick machine. Well worth the wait. I had to tether my hat down cause it kept blowing off.

Ken J. represents this place very well. Ken is a super friendly guy and along with professionalism went above and beyond to make a surprise birthday party special. He stored a tractor on the lot for several months and on the day of the party/during the party he delivered it at the specified time as the surprise gift. He stuck around to answer any tractor operation questions or concerns. Kudos to Ken for making this all happen!

After shopping on line and thinking I knew what I wanted. A friend suggested that I talk with Brian. Meeting with Brian he asked what I was thinking. Explained to him my last mower lasted over 30 years and I really liked it. He explained the mowers I was thinking x350 was not the mower I was replacing. After showing us the x570 and explaining the features and again doing paperwork he rolled it out. I am very satisfied with the time he took and the deal he offered. After mowing the lawn I realized that he sold me exactly what I Wanted. I will suggest to anyone give James River a chance.

Lowes did not have belt I needed for JD mower and their site gave wrong info so just in and out.Headed to James River in/out with what I needed in maybe 5-7 minutes, gotta love it.

Josh is the go to guy!!! Great service during and after the sale. Bought my new 1025r couldn't be happier with it so I went back and got a landscape rake and trailer. Also big thanks to the guys in the service department for walking me thru some problems. Will definitely go back. Thanks Josh

I do business with them on a regular basis. The building and parking lot is very clean. The folks that work there are pleasant to deal with. They call you when your parts come in. They give correct arrival dates when you do need to order stuff. They load your items in your vehicle.

Had a great experience with Keenan Jones while purchasing a used tractor today. He arranged for the tractor to be shipped in from another store with no obligation to purchase. Pretty simple process overall but other than taking awhile to find the key, I was in and out in a little over an hour. Thanks again Keenan!

Traveled 1.5 hrs from our farm to purchase a 100hp tractor at James River Asheboro (have a Quality JD dealer 3 miles from our farm). Ken and everyone was great, good price and did us right. Looking at another purchase next year and James River will be the place.

Visited this store on 11/19/2013 and was very pleased with the customer service received. came in to purchase a leaf blower, they were knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions without having to refer to someone else or a manual. There was no pressure, or awkward stare. happy to say i will be back again as they have about anything you could need for yard work or gardening. its not just a tractor sales and service dealer

Company did not care had my mower and said it would take 21 days just to look at it. Picked it up and had a local service company come out in 2 days and did the repairs. James River never even reached out to ask about my issue I had to call them over 20 times just to get the unit picked up and then I had to go pick it up my self to take it to a real repair shop. Stay away from this company........

I went to buy a lawn mower and after comparing prices I went back to John Deere in Asheboro N.C.There was ONLY one lawn machine out on display and since I am not an employee of the store I didn t know they had lawn machines not put together so I asked the price of the ONLY one I seen and told the employee I would buy it then I found out they didn t take debit cards so I only live a few miles from there I left and got my check book and hooked up my trailer to put it on. As I returned he had most of the paper work done but when he was going over the price again on the paperwork I realized it was 400 dollars more than I was quoted when I asked about it I was told he thought I was talking about another lawn machine OK first of all there isn t another lawn machine out here to look at so how was I referring to any other lawn mower than the only one I seeThere was not an answer to that so I politely picked up my checkbook and left and went to another store and bought a lawn mower.

Very helpful and cheaper on chainsaw than the lowest price I searched online. recommend trying here first..don't let the john deere trick you into thinking everything is overpriced because its really good deals here

Went there to get a PTO clutch and change it myself. Prices are very high. After spending $500 I attempted to change PTO clutch myself in the yard. After I spent a half hour trying to get it off unsuccessfully. I came inside to ask for help and overheard them in the office making fun of me. They told me it would be $300 just to take it off . So I left and found another mechanic that would take it off and put the new one on $40.
