It was my first time and the experience was great and worth for the money. I saved a lot of time going there. The staff is very friendly too. I went there for oil change. They topped up the fluids, inspected components and cleaned the windshield. Best thing is you don t even have to step out of your car. It s interesting to see how they have engineered the fill lines and drain pitts to make things fast as if it is an assembly line. Very much impressed

I brought my Tesla model Y to do a regular state inspection and the service center wants to charge me a mandatory fee of $60 for tire rotation in addition to the state inspection. I show receipt of a tire rotation done 200 miles ago. And they indicate that is a mandatory feeTotal scam!!!I brought the car to a station down the road and they did it fast quick and very professional. To clarified, they made it mandatory to charge for tire rotation. I even offered the special pucks to lift the car. Since I always have them. No excuses. Just a bad business practice. The other shop use their own pucks and did a profesional job.

I do not recommend this place to anyone needing an oil change.. Took my vehicle to have a full oil change, & it s only been roughly a month since Tell me why today, I had to get another oil change.. I m livid, already the oil is black as the black on the back of my neck, & they didn t even change out my oil filter. Now I have an oil leak also, in which I didn t have before I went to them. I am completely disgusted with my overall customer service experience & will not be returning

Disappointed and DisillusionedAs a loyal customer for over 5 years, I've invested time and trust into Express Oil Apex, but my recent experiences have left me utterly disillusioned. Despite multiple visits and shelling out a significant sum, the service quality has plummeted, leading to an ongoing headache and financial strain.Initially, I turned to this Express Oil location for routine oil changes, traveling a considerable distance of 64 miles to patronize them. However, in December 2023, when confronted with a check engine light indicating issues with my EVAP system, I opted to entrust them with the repair work, paying a hefty $900 for their services. Little did I know that this decision would lead to a series of disappointments and setbacks. The trouble began when the check engine light reappeared shortly after the supposed repair, prompting a second visit. Despite their attempt to rectify the issue by resetting the light, the problem persisted. Frustrated by the recurrence, I sought a second opinion at a dealership closer to home, only to discover that the malfunctioning part was the very one Express Oil claimed to have serviced.Upon informing Express Oil of the dealership's findings, I was met with resistance and skepticism from the manager, who insinuated that seeking an alternate diagnosis could jeopardize any warranty claims. Despite their reassurances, subsequent visits only exacerbated the situation.During visit three, I was inconvenienced by a prolonged wait as the mechanic engaged in futile discussions with the part supplier, resulting in no tangible progress. Visit four brought a glimmer of hope with the re-servicing of the problematic part, albeit with an additional $300 part recommended, further inflating the already exorbitant bill.Yet, despite these efforts, the check engine light stubbornly persists, marking visit five as a testament to Express Oil 's consistent failure to deliver lasting solutions. With the manager absent and the mechanic unavailable, I am forced to contemplate yet another visit, grappling with the grim reality that my trust in the Express Oil brand has been irreparably shattered. For the staggering sum of $1200 and enduring five arduous journeys, I am left questioning the value of this location's services. The convenience of proximity no longer offsets the abysmal quality of workmanship and the perpetual cycle of disappointment. Regrettably, I am compelled to seek alternative solutions, resigning myself to the notion that perhaps paying a premium at the dealership is a small price to pay for peace of mind and reliable service. In conclusion, my experience with Express Oil has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I caution prospective customers to weigh their options carefully before entrusting their vehicles and hard-earned money to this establishment.

Worst place to use for oil change. Twice my car was leaking oil becouse they didn't make sure the filter was tight enough. I Went there in December, 10 minutes after I left, the whole oil filter came off and all the oil was on the road.Today, i went to another oil change shop. They couldn't untie the oil filter cap becouse the previous shop screwd it so tight that it broke. This shop is a nightmare. Other people told me they had problems too.Don't be fooled by the 10 minutes service they promote. The way they work it should be 2 minutes service which is the time it takes to.drive in , pay and leave.

I had the absolute worst experience at this oil changing business! I took my truck in for a simple oil change, but when I got it back, I noticed oil leaking all over my driveway. Upon further inspection, I discovered that the oil screw on my oil pan had NOT BEEN TIGHTENED BACK ON! How could they forget something so basic and important?!When I went back to the shop to have them fix their mistake, I had to argue for them to top off the oil. 3 quarts!About 3 days ago I looked under the hood to add window washer fluid and noticed my oil cap was MISSING. I go back this morning and the Hispanic manager by the name of Luis (spelling of name may be incorrect) had the audacity to tell me that they lost my oil cap and would not replace it. Not only did he not take responsibility for his staff s mistake, but he also expected me to pay for their incompetence! The cap costs $20 for a replacement. I ll do it myself. It s not going to make or break me, but it s the principle. As a small business owner, I am very hesitant on leaving negative reviews for the sake of supporting local businesses, but this is unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. I will never go back to this business again and will make sure to tell everyone I know to avoid it at all costs. It's a shame that I had to learn this lesson the hard way, but I hope others can avoid the same headache I had to deal with. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and steer clear of this oil changing business. I have *Attached* a photo on this review for proof.

Took my 4-Runner in for an oil change and was extremely pleased with the customer service experience from Sam and George! They both were professional and knowledgeable with good sense of humors. Keep up the good work fella's!

Went for an inspection and they failed for a parking brake that they said needed to be adjusted (never heard that in 35 years of getting NC car inspections) - then said they could adjust it for $75-$120. Adjusting a parking brake is a super simple job, just taking off a wheel and turning one screw. Many shops would do it for free. Obviously they thought I looked like someone they could take advantage of. I'd been sending my wife there for oil changes for a few years, but never again. Stay away.

I started coming to this shop when I moved to North Carolina last year and the employees are very well mannered. The manager Luis is on top of things. I came in for a check engine light and brake check last week and I have to say the mechanic Alex was very informative and punctual. Great experience! Highly recommend!

Proceed with caution! Took my car to get the oil changed today (for every oil change until this one...which is 85k miles I have used Toyota dealership). The person told me that there is a plastic oil cap that, if they break it, i have to pay $50 to replace with a metal one. I found this odd as I have taken it to Toyota for years, never a topic or discussion, never an issue. Of course they promptly break it and charge me $50. Needless to say I was furious. You do realize this absolutely screams of a proactive ploy to make more money off of people. You are an oil change business as your "specialty" so why are you breaking oil caps. Also I checked with a family member who worked at Toyota for years and not really a trending issue. Unfortunate that years of going to your place that I will be going elsewhere because of the need to make a $25 profit.

This was once a respectable business, but is now mis-managed.Been going here for 10 years for oil changes, mechanic work, tire changes, and inspections. I abruptly stopped going after the manger, Luis, over the span of a week, argued with me over what service I requested, despite having it in (my own) writing, and insisted that I pay for it. Rather than take responsibility for the error, he said it was between me and his mechanic, and made me argue with hiimThis went on for a week, and I was told the service would be taken off my bill.Somewhere in there, he told me that he tapes my phone conversations, which I guess was his way to catch me in what I suppose was a lie, and that was completely made up (when I called him on it later, he told me "that isn't a service we have anymore).Eventually, I went in during my (busy) lunch hour to get my truck, and was surprised to see that the bill still had the charge for the service that I didn't want. He then avoided me, in the hopes, I suppose, that I would pay by bill and leave. I insisted on talking to him about the charge I thought we agreed would be omitted, and the argument started again, where he angrily reiterated that this was all my fault, despite me writing on the keydrop envelope/ticket what services I wanted done. This escalated into a screaming match between the two of us, and ended up with him taking half of the charge off, and then locking himself in his office.Looking at these reviews, I am not alone. There is a complete lack of workmanship, respect, professionalism, and accountability at this company.Spend your money with businesses that deserve it.Edit: wanted to address his reply. 1) looking at other reviews, yelling at and screwing over your customers IS something you normally do, 2) you absolutely did not show me a quote that we agreed-upon, This was a lie. 3) don't know what your point is with "google research" but it doesn't change the facts that you did something I didn't want, and made me pay for it 4) if customers talking to your mechanics causes problems, you should fix that, and not make it the customers' problem.Take accountability for your business, sir.

Wow, the employees here seem to have a short fuse. I literally just saw a employee intentionally get in a customer's vehicle to pull it in the inspections bay. However, there was another customer paying/checking out at the register which is also in the bay. The guy with dreads/braided hair began shouting and scream at the guy paying because he was not moving fast enough. The employee showed no respect and started speaking profane words at the customer. On top of the disrespectful language he drove the car into the bay within feet of the customer not allowing the customer time to get out the way and into their vehicle which is was parked outside the bay.I understand wanting to quickly get the next customer into the bay, but not at the expense of running someone over because they not moving fast enough. Totally unnecessary.I will stay clear of this place. Not Professional at all."Update to the Review Response"Window tint has nothing to do with your employee actions.

I had been going to this oil change place for many years with my work vehicles as we had a fleet account. My current work truck had every oil change performed here since new. When I went in for my 14th oil change at approximately 70,000 miles, they broke the drain plug bolt off in the oil pan. Not to worry, they told me that they had a mechanic that could take care of removing the broken bolt and tapping a new hole. The only issue was that the mechanic was off for a few days so they couldn't get to it until the following week.As luck would have it, I had to stop by later that same week and retrieve a few things from my truck that I needed. I noticed that there was someone dropping off a big toolbox in the mechanics shop so I popped my head in. Come to find out, they didn't actually have a mechanic, but this was the new guy that they just hired. It appears that my truck was the first job that the new mechanic was to tackle. The new mechanic ended up destroying the drain plug hole in my oil pan and I was left with two options. 1) a $2,000 oil pan replacement, or 2) use an emergency plug that could start leaking at any time. They blamed the issues on the aluminum oil pan, and washed their hands of any wrong doing. As they wouldn't take responsibility, I had to go with the emergency plug. The plug did end up leaking and now I am having the oil pan replaced. They were the only people to ever put a wrench on the truck. On top of all of this, they tried to make my company pay $400 for their labor that caused the damage to the oil pan.Needless to say, I will never go back there. Be warned.Service: Oil change

Great experience! Just moved to NC and don t have a shop yet so I decided to try this one out! A bit of a wait to get service without an appointment and the actual job but my Audi is a higher maintenance car so I appreciate the care taken with it. Overall Very pleased with the customer service and the price was better than through Audi. I will be using them often!Service: Oil change

They have produced the worst results, leaning in the vehicle while educating clumsy employees, working hours are long and other employees smoke indoors. What situation is this? Is it possible to do this while responding to customers? They even paid an outrageous amount in the process of payment, and there was no word of apology, using the expression accident without an apology. I said that the additional amount paid was refunded, but even after a day has passed, it has not even been deposited. I've been going here for over 6 years, they change staff every month with people who have to learn new jobs. Of course, I think that work is clumsy and there is no choice but to make mistakes. Even one day, the oil leaked a day after the oil change and there was a case of urgent repair. Since they are human too, I thought they could make mistakes. But now I won't go there any more. All of this is an attitude that makes customers laugh, and I can't stand it anymore to think easily of customers' money.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET YOUR SERVICE DONE HERE. These people don't know what they are doing and will cause you to lose your vehicle. After getting a oil change they didn't put the cap back on and oil spilled every causing 2,000 dollars worth of damage. Then I went back to tell the manager and he acted like it wasn't a big deal. Worst customer service ever!!!!!!!!Service: Oil change

Brought my BMW to Express oil change to get the oil replaced. The crew at the location did not properly secure the plate underneath my vehicle after the oil change, leading to a costly repair and would not work with me to get the situation fixed. To be clear I took my car there for an oil change and ended up with a damaged vehicle that required an additional repair. I tried numerous times to get this resolved but experienced horrible customer service. If you care about your vehicle and you want it serviced correctly by professionals please take your business elsewhere.
