As a new Volkswagen owner, my experience with Apex Tuning was better than I could even ask for. They were quick with responding to my emails and fully explained their services to me. Not only did they replace my intake manifold, but they gave me great tips on how to maintain my car in the future as well. I will definitely be coming back whenever I need services done for my car!

Best experience ever. I had several issues with my car and asked them look at it. I assumed my brakes were bad and asked them to change the pads but they informed me my pads were fine.instead of just doing it to make money, they were honest and saved me some money. I totally trust these people and I will definitely return in the future. Thank you Apex Tuning!

These guys are so kind and knowledgeable, and take the time to explain things in a way that is so helpful! Not only did they fit me in for an oil change quickly and efficiently, but they also saved me $900 from a misdiagnosed problem by a VW dealer.

Absolutely first class service and knowledge. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin, Kevin, and Daniel. Professional and personable, this team will definitely see you right. I highly recommend their service to anyone looking for quality car care.Perhaps a bit odd for a review, but their shop is very convenient and very easy to get to. They also take the time to explain why the repair is necessary in terms that a lay-person can understand.Small disclaimer: my car is a VW diesel. These are seriously reliable cars and engines but . . . finding a technician who is familiar with the engineering idiosyncrasies of these systems can be tough. Solution? Take it to this group.Many thanks to Apex Tuning for their time and service!

I have been using Apex Tuning for years with all of my VW repairs, tunes and modifications all with timely turnaround times. Amazing customer service, top notch work and I can honestly call these guys friends all from the commonality of VWs. I highly recommend them for any repairs or modifications you may need.

The Good: friendly serviceGood communicationFixed their mistakes for freeQuality work once mistakes were fixed.The Bad: mistakes both times repairs were completed.1st repair- Forgot to put cap back on when repairing water pump. Emergency light came on dash, could have caused dangerous problems with my vehicle had I kept driving.2nd repair- they installed window regulator crooked. Brought back in for them to fix mistake and went several more days without vehicle. The plastic in door was weakened from first disassembly so parts broke during second repair. Plastic is so weakened now that they advised I need to be careful closing my door and I will need to fully replace my door panel if any additional repairs need to be made.While I understand that as vehicles age, parts become more delicate, I'm disappointed that I may need costly repairs sooner due to their negligence.Overall, I would like to see them complete repairs correctly the FIRST time.

Best shop around, I travel over an hour when I need something serious done to my VW. It s truly amazing how respectful and kind they all are through email or in person! I live the willingness to answer questions honestly, and respectfully, and they never make you feel like a burden if you just don t know what s going on and ask for more information! If I could rate it any more stars I would!

Short Review: Excellent customer service and reliable quality parts that they use. Daniel has been great to work with.Long Review: I have a 2013 Jetta TDI with DSG Back in 2021 {110,000 Miles} I had an engine light for DPF being clogged. I took My car into Apex and had them Delete the EGR, DPF and tune both the engine and DSG the total came out to around $2700 after that upgrade the car was much more responsive and I have been very happy.Summer 2022. On a Saturday I was working on a my brakes and after getting everything apart realized there are 3 different sized rotors and brakes that Jettas can have, and I ordered the wrong ones from a company online. I called Apex Tuning came in and picked up the correct parts. that night I finished the brakes and they have held up great ever since.This past fall (2023) {165,000 Miles} I realized I had not been keeping up on preventative maintenance and needed the fuel filter and timing belt replacedthe total was around $2000.Since then I moved to Michigan, about a week ago {175,000 Miles} I started to hear noises when shifting from 4th to 5th. I messaged Apex Tuning about what I was hearing they said it might be the dual mass fly wheel. I took my car into a shop down the road from me with great reviews they test drove it with me to verify what I was hearing and diagnosed the issue to be the fly wheel. I sent the quote I got to Apex Tuning just to confirm what he new shop was billing appropriately and Daniel said it was within reason, given that I am in a different area, but to call a few more shops to verify.Everyone at Apex Tuning has been super helpful and I am very happy with the service. I especially appreciate that they are willing to follow up with me, giving me all the information for me to make an informed decision.

I took my brother vw golf gti up there Saturday to get a diag and the staff/ mechanics there were nothing but welcoming and knowledgeable about these vehicles I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to get a trust worthy shop that knows what they are doing like the back of their hands. I give thanks to all the people at apex tuning I will definitely be coming back !

Awesome people! Kevin is amazing and able to explain the issues the way you understand + provide custom solutions. Very knowledgeable and professional crew. I wish they were closer to us. But it is worth a trip there if you can schedule in advance.

Went by Apex Tuning yesterday to discuss my VW Passat GT. They were awesome with their knowledge and made some super recommendations about the servicing of my car. They are definitely going to be doing any work above my capabilities. I have already started recommending them to all my buddies driving Audi and Passat.

I have been driving about a hour for services on my mk6 tdi for going on two years now. From tuning to simple oil services these guys go above and beyond for me. I appreciate the work they do and the love they share for Volkswagen/audi like I do. I recommend them every chance I get.

Just a BIG THANK YOU to Kevin and the team at Apex Tuning!! They made some important repairs to my daughter's Jetta so that she could safely make it back to the University of Tennessee this weekend. These guys are class. I plan on returning for regular service appointments and a few upgrades. Daniel kept me up to date about what was going on with my car and I felt like these guys care about what they do. 10/10 definitely recommend them for VW/Audi service.

Apex recently installed some parts I had previously purchased but had been unable to install myself. They were up front about installing outside parts. They responded promptly to emails and questions. They provided great feedback and made suggestions that worked out perfectly. They pointed me in the direction of a great tire vendor in their vicinity and facilitated that while in the shop. All of this was done over email and on a time frame that was immovable as I live about 2 hours from the shop, and we based the timeline on flights out of RDU.Work done: Install a suspension lift on a 2015 Golf Sportwagen, replaced shocks and shock hardware, performed a Stage 2 TDI tune.I will not hesitate to use them again for further work on our Volkswagen and will recommend to anyone that asks.Service: Steering & suspension replacement

AWESOME PLACE. These guys are what you want if you need help with your VW product. They service our 2013 EOS. They are friendly, honest and happy to answer all questions. Their prices are very reasonable. They are very flexible and are happy to share their knowledge about anything related to your car. This is the only place we take our EOS. My last visit was a DIY issue...and they just helped me out. Hard to find this kind of service any more.Services: Transmission, Auto maintenance, Oil change

I will never go elsewhere for my VW! I had an emergency (failing brakes with unclear root as to why and therefore how to fix). I was able ti bring my passat in asap, they diagnosed that day and were able to fix amongst their other customers also same day. I am ever so appreciative!These guys are not only incredibly friendly, accommodating and reasonable but also swift in getting the work done efficiently while educating you along the way!Service: Auto maintenance

The manager and his crew have been very easy to work with over the years. They are all car enthusiasts who actually know your car and want to help you take care of it. Anytime we travel through we use them and we recommend them to anyone in that area as well. Absolutely awesome staff to work with. I have had my MK6 GTI there for several items from modifications, to preventative maintenance, to repairs, and every time the staff have been extremely helpful, very friendly, and very communicative about what my options are and their costs. My least favorite thing in the world is being quoted one cost and then having a completely different bill, and that has never once been an issue here. I'm someone who always prefers to work on my vehicles myself, but the times I've needed professional assistance I've always felt that I was in good hands with Apex Tuning. Could not recommend them highly enough.

I recently dropped off my Audi at the shop to get an ECU tune. I chose Apex because of the great reviews. Kevin was very helpful as we were discussing the work and what to expect. My experience was great. They had great communication and used there knowledge to explain exactly what is wrong with my car and why. Also got the work done pretty quick and were accurate with the pickup date. Definitely will be going back for anything I need done with my car.

Brought my Rabbit in for a trans fluid change on the 10th as a first time customer and the techs did a great job to the service needed and found a another problem I didn't realize was going on that was missed by the competitors. Glad Daniel helped educate me on the workings of what needs to be done in the near future, where most places don't give you the time to truly explain things. I recommend them for sure for your Volkswagen/ Audi needs!

I have a 09 passat with a 2.0t I needed the timing chain and related things replaced. Right from the start everyone was friendly and helpful. They had my car done in a day. And the cost is reasonable. I will definitely bring this car and my atlas here for future service.

These guys are the real deal. I recently had them do a preventative maintenance timing belt replacement on my 2015 TDI Jetta. As a result, there were a few follow up maintenance issues and the folks at Apex coached me through the process to engage VW to get the additional repairs covered under the emissions warranty. As enthusiasts themselves, they spoke with authority from a place of first hand experience. Even though the back and forth between Apex, the VW dealer, and VW customer care was an inconvenience, Apex was supportive through the process and willing to make everything right if VW turned out to be uncooperative, but we ended up not having to go down that route. Can't recommend these folks enough for your VW/Audi specialty needs.Services: Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance

Hands down some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Last weekend I had some car issues at the Advance Auto right next door to Apex Tuning and one of the employees, Josh, allowed me to utilize a few of his tools to get me back on the road. I would recommend Apex Tuning to anyone, and I am extremely thankful for the selflessness you all demonstrated.
