I had come to this location after realizing i probably shouldn t do my own oil change since I m not very handy when it comes to cars! I originally took my car to another shop (which i will not name out of respect for that small business) but they were super rude and told me my wait time was 30 minutes to 4 hour s depending on when they can get to it. So i instantly left and took my car to Valvoline in New Windsor right around the corner and i wish i would have came here first! The whole staff was amazing and they got me in and out in I think it was 13 minutes and 16 seconds my technician told me! I was able to stay in my car the whole time and never felt pressured to buy anything even after they showed me my air filters and explained what services my car was due for. I even explained the situation to the manager after he came to greet me, about my experience i just had at the other un named place and he reassured me that I would be well taken care of and not to have any worries! I never write reviews, but after going from a terrible experience to this amazing experience I told the guys I d write them a review because they really do deserve it. Thanks again to the whole team that helped me see you guys the next time my car tells me it s time for an oil change!! HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone reading!

Workers never approached me to ask why i was there. They went to every other car except mine. They had me move for another vehicle to get ahead (for no reason) and left me there. The workers were taking their sweet time too. They have zero customer service. I just left. Do not waste your time with this dump.

Today I went in for an oil change and the manager stated that they did not have the filter so I would have to purchase and they can change or wait until filters came in.He had the service guy check my oil and noticed I was low so he topped it off and made sure my tires were good before letting me leave.Although my oil was not changed, Lamont, the new manager went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle was safe to drive until my return.The bonus is how pleasant and professional everyone is at the Vails Gate location!Highly recommend!

First, I go for an inspection, because the website says no appointment. After Lamont debated this with me that I needed an appointment that I was wrong that it didn t say this on the website, he went inside realize I was correct, and made me an appointment for 10 days out which pushed me just a few days before the end of the month. Needless to say, I show up for my appointment on time, and I am told he will not be there for another hour. Never ever ever will I use this place again. they clearly don t know how to run a business. It s so pathetic and the website still is not corrected.

Every single time I come here they go above and beyond, If i need something to clean my dash or interior with, they are more than happy to oblige and help me out.Travis is phenomenal. Great employee.The professional service I have received on every occasion is the reason i feel very comfortable here and feel safe having them take care of my car.Top notch service. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.The best place in the HV to get any work done. Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Air conditioning, Oil change

Went to Valvoline today to get an oil change. Unbeknownst to me I also needed to get my coolant filled as well. Thomas and the crew immediately helped me, they did an excellent job, and they were very polite. They also put air in my tires for me without me even asking! I will definitely come here in the future. Thank you Valvoline.

I went to valvoline on RT 300 in New Windsor toda for an annual NYS car inspection because of a recommendation from a friend. I was very very happy with the pleasant respectful attitude of the staff and efficiency & price of the whole process. Previously I had no idea that they did NYS car inspections & I had only gone there for oil changes. This Valvoline location will now be my regular choice for all my future NYS car inspections! It was just easy peasy-I was just in and out! Many many thanks to the awesome staff there !

Please save yourself and go to a trusted local mechanic. I asked questions about my oil pan because an out of state Valvoline broke my oil pan. After the oil change was completed the technician added to the notes not responsible for oil pan damages after 100,000 miles. My car had over a 100,000 miles when I asked the question. Months later I take my car to another location and they tell me the New Windsor Valvoline put an after market plug in and they now had to drain the oil from the top. The after market plug was the wrong size so if they drained it from the bottom it could damage the oil pan. I will never do business with Valvoline again and I ve been going to them for years.

Stripped my bolt on my skip plate for a simple oil change. Had to go to the dealer to fix it because they took 0 responsibility. Will never go there again.

The technicians spilled oil all over my engine and were too lazy to clean it up, so now oil is smoking and burning, filling my car with noxious fumes. When I looked farther inside the engine I saw that the oil filter had been improperly installed and oil was leaking from the filter. What a waste of time and money.

Went there for an inspection and apparently their machine is broken and it's been that way for awhile. Called dolson ave their machine is broken as well. Now the one on route 211 is working but it's by appointment and it like a two week wait at this point.

Love this place. You don't even get out of your car. You drive over the pit and in 15 minutes you're done.

Very helpful. Went to Newburgh location, manager informed me (while waiting) they didn't have the oil filter for my car. Very thankful I found out so quickly.He referred me to New Windsor location. Rob, Kevin, John and Steve were great. Had me out in ten minutes tops. Probably less. Very pleasant and will use again. Prices were competitive. Don't forget to change your cabin air filtwr.....(see pic)

Beautiful chocolate man by the name of Jaylin, I lock eyes with him and that is a reason why Valvoline will always get my money. I didn t know they hired such beautiful gentleman and such eye candy, such sensation to the eyes. His beautiful toned muscles and his veiny arms as he pours oil into my engine. I am so infatuated, in love. His voice creating a sense of tingles that I haven t felt in years. This crush takes over me. Everytime I come to valvoline I crave his presence. When he is not on the clock, I turn away and come another day. I even wear sparkly eyeshadow and do my hair and he notices and compliments me. Such a shame he has a beautiful girlfriend though. It doesn t matter to me, because his approval and his validation is all I need. I love Jaylin s work. He is such an honest and tall chocolate individual, very articulated, patient and a man with honor and dignity that stands on business. I look forward to seeing more from this gentleman.Service: Transmission

These guys are so pleasant. I had Ace/Dwayne do my oil change. He did the oil change & checked everything else super fast but was also just so friendly & did it all with a smile. Also, I believe the manager is Emad & he was very nice as well. I make sure to do surveys when the service is exceptional & that is what I got. This particular Valvoline is phenomenal. I was on a road trip and had an emergency with my tires and this was the closest Valvoline in the area. I got there 15 minutes before they were closing and the WHOLE staff helped me resolve an issue that was caused by another Valvoline in a different location. The way they were so nice to me and helped me was amazing. I can t thank them enough. The manager was great and patient, she helped me out and answered all of my questions. 10/10 highly recommend. Upon arrival all staff was professional, friendly, and informative. One rep even suggested I check the website for coupons to help with the bill! All staff was wearing mask and gloves for Covid 19 precautions. I came to this location for an oil change and inspection.I spoke with the manager Brian who was professional and honest in regard to my concerns. He worked fast and had me out in less than a half hour!Bill break down: a much needed truck tire rotation 29.99(been 1 year...I know lol), MaxLife synthetic grade oil 65.99, Safety Inspection 10, fuel treatment service ( because why not :) 10 + tax. I downloaded my 8 dollar off coupon and it reflected in my bill. Please bare in mind I have not serviced my car in an entire year!The best part of this place is the fact that you can sit in the car for your oil change! So no need to stress about anything. I love the diversity as well as I noticed a young woman in the profession #mademeproud. I highly recommend this place hands down on the customer service alone. Thanks Valvoline team!

Almost 5 stars! Pulled up and there was 5 cars in line waiting. All 3 bays were full. Asked for the wait time and the gentleman was accurate. Another customer complained they were ahead of me and I was moved to another bay. No worries, just a minor inconvenience. Once inside I asked for a quick oil change and tire pressures set. They reccomended an engine flush and I was out the door in 10-15 min. Left a nice tip and was on my way.

Overpriced and long wait.After waiting 35 minutes, they charged me $40 more than any other place. Don t believe their website hype.

The fact that I received a response from the owner stating they wouldn t have known that a transmission service was done unless it was done at Valvoline should tell every potential customer all they need to know. They had the audacity to pressure a 17 yr old who went in for a simple oil change that she needed it done and make her feel like she had to get it done on the spot but yet they couldn t tell it was already done 6 months ago?Simply WOW !!Don t subject yourself to these slimy types of sales tactics. They are enacted to increase their bottom line folks. Looking forward to upper management s response to this.

Extremely friendly staff! I usually go to the Valvoline in Newburgh, but service is seriously 1000% better here. And literally 1/2 the wait. It makes getting my oil change a pleasure because I can just sit in my car and read my book while they take car of everything.

Crew tool care of me even though they were swamped. Made sure to squeeze in an inspection and tire rotation. A little patience goes a long way. Excellent management and quick service.

This is a follow up review after our 17 yr old daughter got scammed into a service she didn t need.We called customer service which the person we talked to would get a great review who was very helpful. She informed me we would get a call from upper management.We didn t. We got a call from Lamont the service manager. He tried to explain away the transaction as it took place saying our daughter is on camera smiling the whole time. She was nervous and had no idea what was happening other than Lamont telling her she needed an $179.00 transmission service simply based on a CARFAX report.Lamont refused to take any accountability saying he was just doing his job. That job was to take advantage of a young girl who knows nothing about cars. We will do everything in our power to ensure this doesn t happen to anyone else s daughter.Do yourselves a favor and get your oil changed elsewhere.Service: Oil change

First let me say, Brian the manager is the absolute best. He went out of his way to help me when my car stalled. He was so nice and professional and left a great impression.On another occasion, the oil change that the staff did was great.Would recommend. Great people work here.

Got me in at a reasonable time, paid for a nice and easy oil change but then found an oil puddle in my garage the next day. Now gotta go back and waste my time trying to get this situation resolved. Worst part is , i asked them to make sure they do a good job because im driving across country in a couple of days. This is what a get for trying to get a simple task done.Service: Oil change

SCAM artists!! Our 17 yr old daughter went in for a simple oil change and they scammed her into a $243.00 bill. The oldest trick in the book by telling her she needed a complete transmission service. Which she actually didn t because that was done 6 months ago. Took total advantage of her.
