Had been going here for years with no issues until my most recent visit. I got my snow tires put on no problem, but when I got my oil changed they somehow forgot to tighten the drain plug and my car was leaking oil for days before I noticed. Could've blown my engine if I didn't notice sooner, I'd stay away.

Got inspected a car I was buying. They did not do full inspection even thou it was advertised so. Turns out car got issue with hybrid battery which was found by simple computer check at autozone for free.

I dropped my car off for service here because I couldn t get in with my regular mechanic on short notice. They also told me that my inner and outer tie rods needed replaced for $450. I didn t allow them to do any work on my car. I took my car to my regular mechanic just a day later, and my regular mechanic said my tie rods are absolutely fine.When I walked into this place, a woman customer was really upset with them and threatening to contact an attorney. (Apparently they were trying to take advantage of her as well. As you can see from other reviews, it s typically women that they try to rip off)This place is bad news and it seems that they prey on women thinking that women are stupid. So, sexist and just bad mechanics. I m writing this as a warning to others. Go to someone trustworthy. I hate having to write bad reviews because I understand that people are just trying to do their best and make a living, but this was worth writing about.

Had a flat tire on a Sunday which should be hopeless, but Pep is open til 6:00pm that day and I was able have AAA tow me there. They fixed the tire and had me back on the road within an hour. Without them the issue would have dragged into Monday and messed with my work week. They were invaluable!

Overall, I was very pleased. The Service Manager immediately assisted me, got my car taken care of, and checked me out withing 30 minutes! I will definitely take my other vehicle to them in a couple of weeks for some routine maintenance.

I had a bad experience because my state inspection, which took 25 minutes once they actually got my car back there, ended up taking up over 3 hours of my day off work. I made an appointment for 8am unaware of the fact that their inspectors don't arrive to work until 9am. There should have been a note about that or appointments for state inspections should've started at 9. When I dropped off my car right when they opened at 8am the receptionist guy asked if I was dropping it off and I said yes. Apparently in his mind "dropping it off" means they don't need to rush to get it done or even do it first because I was the first one there for an inspection. 2 hours go by and I haven't gotten a call so I headed back to the shop (I had walked to get coffee). I sat in there for another half hour before asking for an update, at which point he looks at me like I'm an idiot and says "You told me you were dropping your car off? We haven't looked at it yet but I'll try to get them to squeeze you in". 2.5 hours after my appointment time and I was the first one there but the best I could get was they'll "try to squeeze me in". It was absurd and I won't be back.

Fast and courteous registration. Waiting room not so comfortable or private( could hear what every customer said on entry). Service was fast- out the door in 30 minutes

The service I received after being stranded at your Dewitt location was excellent, and the staff was understanding and very helpful. The resulting tire purchase and installation was first-rate, as was the price. I am totally satisfied, especially considering the circumstances.

Reliable and efficient service. I've gone to this location for a while and they have been very friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy. I've never had an issue getting a reservation and I love their early drop-off service. I can drop my car off before work, they call to let me know when it's ready, and I can pick it up anytime during their open hours.

Truly a life saver. We lost two tires 20 minutes before closing time on Sunday and Suliman took care of us and made sure both of our tires are replaced and we are safe to drive home (an hour away). Highly recommend this shop. The whole team is true professionals!!

Went to get simple alignment done. They told me that they will not do it until xyz will be replaced because alignment be off. After driving home I noticed that the steering wheel is off ( been adjusted ) . Never again be coming to Pepboys and do business' with them.

I did my research and understood making the appointment exactly what break service my 2017 4Runner needed. The Service Rep was open and honest about the service, any parts that were needed and an accurate price. Thank you!

Truly, the worst customer service experience I ve ever had. Pep Boys Corporate, should look into how paying customers are treated at this location. Watch them closely and how they do business in your name. Then retrain them or get rid of them. They are not worth your reputation.

Very fast and wonderful service, completed job sooner than anticipated! They forgot to fill air pressure up to manufacturer spec but when asked about it they quickly corrected the issue! Will definitely use them again!

Would give zero stars if I could! Corporate needs to investigate this branch. Bought my tires last year at a great pepboys location in Greece, NY and living in Syracuse now went here as my drivers side front tire was having a slow leak. Called Friday after work and scheduled an appt for 8am Saturday. Show up for my appointment and the manager says I don t know why they would have told you to come at 8am for an appointment we don t have a tire guy until the afternoon. Any mechanic should be able to work on tires. Needless to say they couldn t take care of me and was like we can schedule an appointment for tomorrow or you could leave the car. I only have one vehicle and I wanted my car serviced today not tomorrow as I have plans. They lost my business and I will also look elsewhere for purchasing tires.

Everything was perfect, but after they installed the tires, they left them extremely dirty with sealant and cleaners. They should have cleaned them before returning the car.

Needed tires badly but had almost no time to get them - I was going to be in Syracuse to pick up a present for my daughter and the pep boys website showed an open 6pm appointment and the tires I wanted in stock - went ahead and ordered and scheduled - but when I got there, the store had just received my web appointment and their tire guy had already gone home. I explained the situation that I was a couple hours from home, couldn t drop off the car and didn t have time to come back out another day and the guys that were still there that were supposed to be getting ready to go home went the extra mile and took care of me - cleaning up the mess their website had created. Great people in the store.

Place is a ripoff. Got quoted 2k for brakes to pass inspection. Went to an independent mechanic, got all the work done for $700. Run away

Front brake pads and rotors on Dodge Ram 1500 was performed. Service was satisfactory, but shop price for rotors at $214 each for a regular, non-performance and not extreme duty rotor seemed excessive.

Very bad experience, they don't know how to even diagnose tyre threads. Quoted 15$ for a single lug nut. Which is a 3 times marked up the price.

Brought my car here in 2021. Saw some reviews about this place being investigated and I have to agree. I feel I was certainly take advantage of for being a younger looking women. Was really stressed because it was my first time living on my own and my car broke down during the cuse winter. I was just sincere telling the mechanics this because I needed my car to get to school and work. To no surprise I was taken advantage of. First day I allowed them to tow my car they said it would be a $70 job nbd, all of a sudden a week later my engine is broken?? Ended up getting a completley new car. For another college students in a similar situation, go to the dealership instead- seriously.

Went in for a scheduled appointment at 1:30, oil change and rear brake pads. Was told it would be 1-2 hours so I waited in store. Car did not move to shop until 2:30. 5 hours later I get my car back and the screeching from braking hasn t changed at all. Not done with sensibility to time. Please be more punctual and time-sensitive.

went in for an oil change and state inspection. cried about having to do inspection, so only did oil change. stripped the oil plug and hammered it back in. had no idea till I needed to do oil change again. went in to complain the manager, John, said they wouldnt still have it on record. then by magic he found the record on his computer! Basically told me to kick rocks. Terrible customer service and terrible work. Hope corporate investigates this branch.
