Absolutely disgusted with this dealership. My wife brought her 2017 outback in due to a noise from the driver rear wheel. I knew the issue was in this area, it's clear while driving, but I told her not to give any info just say there's a noise and let them diagnose to make sure they find the problem. They "diagnosed" the car, called my wife and told her she needed a new transmission. For $12,000. Told me the same when I called, no info whatsoever about the issue other than it needs a new transmission. And then the woman on the phone immediately started talking about how they have an appraiser there every day if we wanted to get a value on the car to trade in for a new one since it might not be worth fixing. How convenient. I took the car home, lifted it on jack stands and got underneath, and in 30 seconds I was able to spot the issue. On the exact wheel the noise is coming from there was a wheel hub bolt missing, clear as day. They never even bothered to lift the car. I'm absolutely disgusted with how they tried to take advantage of my wife who knows nothing about cars. She came home in tears thinking her car she just finished paying off needed a 12K transmission. On top of that their report had some phony issues they also wanted to charge for, my favorite being "dirty throttle body", which they want $375 to clean, and which by looking under the hood you can see it's clear that the intake was never removed to actually check. Not a single smudge on the dust on any of the intake piping or throttle body. They also want $179 for this "diagnosis". They won't be getting it. I can't say for certain whether it was the tech who was behind this, or the woman on the phone, or both, but regardless stay away from this place. You will be taken advantage of.

There is no better service center then Subaru, and I have driven many other cars before Subaru. They are friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. You can feel comfortable knowing that they have you covered! Besa and the guys are amazing. They make you really feel part of the Subi family! Ty, as always!

I had an exceptional experience at Island Subaru service center, thanks to Besa, our service representative. Besa demonstrated superb communication skills and went above and beyond by even FaceTiming to walk me through the issues. Their dedication and expertise made the service visit smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Island Subaru, especially with Besa's outstanding commitment.

Taking a car in is always a pain in some way or another, but the people here did their best to take care of me and went above and beyond when my car wasn t ready to make sure I was able to get home. Shout Besa the service manager especially.

Easy to book a service appointment but got there at 9am and didn t get our car back until 12:30pm. 3.5 hours for an oil change and tire rotation is ridiculous.

They gave me an appointment. Went in to find out my car cannot be serviced until the next day. Lost money on toll and gas. I was told it happens all the time and it's an existing internal management issue. No one seemed to care. My car issue is a major drivibg safety on the road one. Done doing business with them and Island Subaru.

Don t trust this service!!! People absolutely live on different reality. I have two first maintenance for my new car 2022 Subaru. First was oil change and filter. And also they try to do for me tiers rotating but I have to pay for that . 6100 mil. Rotation? Next day When I did my car inspections Engine oil was overfill about 1/4" of max But I think it s new car. Maybe ok. But after second maintenance I was completely done. They told me I drive to much 12400 for 9 months. Too much You need to do 4 wheel alignment because my ties will need change soon. But car was run perfect. So I let him do that. Now my maintenance list was check up car ,engine oil and filter change, wheel rotations and 4 wheel alignment. When I pick up my car after service I ask them if my I have drive tru wheel alignment and ties conditions copy for my self. They said it s in house informations Any body knows? Why ? It s aver policy ???When they bring my car I sowed no paper foot protection and food prints dirty on my carpet. Seat was covered. I was rushing to get my job done and left.When I start to drive my car I found my steering wheel not straight. Stay right turn And car try to escape to left line all the time. Next morning when I did my pre road inspections for my car. I found again engine oil overfilled Thanks Good some body call me from service to ask about yesterday service visits. I tell her about. She make me appointment for check up. I was thinking they will check for me. But when I come back and spoke with people thy take my car they to ask me how I did engine oil check and if car smoke . 12400 mil. They told me little overfilled it s ok. If car not smoke when I ask for what reason oil deep stick have Min - - - Max point. And how much oil Subaru manufacturers recommended?Answer was between min. and max. Finally they take my car for service and this time foot paper protection again not installed. When I ask why they tell me it s just check up. Finally they drain about 400 mlg. Oil level now it s ok. After they drive around the block and say alignment it s good . I spend almost two days with them and my car still try escape left. Sterling wheel turned right. No body want listen nothing. Personal, managers so bad toking for you. No more Island Subaru Service That s my story. Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Oil change

The windshield cowl weather strip has been popping out, and I reached out regarding this matter since my vehicle is still under warranty. My request was simple, I wanted to know if the part was in stock. That way I can make ONE trip, have the part replaced under warranty as I wait.When I called to inquire about setting up an appointment and asking about the inventory status of said part, the receptionist took down my information and request and said an advisor will reach out to me.I missed the call from the advisor, Samantha. She did leave a voicemail saying that I have to call the parts department myself to confirm the status of the part. Why do I have to confirm the status of the part? It's not my responsibility to do so.

Too lazy and pathetic, I brought my 2005 subaru for a simple rear canister solenoid part swap ( remove and replace). I took my time before coming here to diagnose the issue, presented the trouble code, explained what an evap solenoid valve is, I even told them where the part goes smh. I wanted them to remove the solenoid from the rear so I wouldn't have to change it myself, it's spring and the pollen level makes it uncomfortable to work outside. Well I waited 3 days only to receive a phone call from Zach the "tech" that he had no idea what to do and freaked out because he saw an aftermarket part. Give me a break smh. What blows my mind is that I showed them where the part goes and Zach looks at the engine. Zach, when I finish fixing my car I'll be back with an updated resume and display that I got a simple job done that you refused to do smh. On my way out of the service department, techs were having coffee and chatting and I still noticed that my car was still sitting in the same spot, unbelievable and it's not fair to others who dream of working at a dealership and really have the heart to get it done. Do not bring your classic subaru here, they'll just freak out, and not understand English. I'm not wasting my time anymore. I wouldn't work here either.

Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was easy to make an appointment, I received an email confirmation, text confirmation, and they even called to confirm. Once I got there, I drove in, explained what I was there for (oil change and changing my stock shifter for a short throw shifter which was never installed at the dealer when I picked up the car). Everyone had a good attitude, were polite and helpful. I was in and out in 10 minutes. It took them about 3.5 hours, and called when my car was ready. When I got in my car, I noticed that a $20 bill my friend tied to the grab handle on the roof of the interior of my car as good luck was missing. I spoke to one of the managers and they stated the typical we are not responsible for lost or stolen items left in the car.... Understood, however someone has to be a real lowlife to un-tie the bill from the handle knowing its a good-luck tradition and pocket the money. I was a little disappointed at the reaction, I was told they would look into it. I left, I doubt much will be done about it, however they need to do a better job at holding the crooks accountable, whether it was the service department or the cleaners that give the car a complimentary wash (which they stated is an third party company not affiliated with Subaru). I hope they are keeping track of these thefts as this was CERTAINLY not the first or the last time someone has stolen something out of the car. Again, great customer service, quick service, however the way this situation was handled has made me decide I cannot trust leaving my car with this service department in the future.

Very unprofessional staff. Arrived for 11am appointment to get NYS inspection.. Valet took my name and car keys and told me to wait in the waiting room. An hour later no one had even written up my job or spoke to me. When I complained they were ready to write up the job. Unfortunately, there would then be a 2 to 3 hour wait. I left and if your looking to get good service do not use this business. They also have a $145 an hour labor charge.

Avoid the free car wash, it will leave swirl marks and also a good way to hide and damages they did

The whole process was smooth, from setting up an appointment in the my subaru app, to check-in. The service and the office staff were all very nice and knowledgeable. They even arranged and paid for an Uber to pick me up at home when my vehicle was done.Also, the staff was very honest . I went in for my 12 month service, which included an air filter replacement. I had installed a high performance air filter when I first purchased the vehicle. I forgot to mention it them at check in. No problem, they saw it and called to inform me that they would not have to replace it, and adjusted my bill accordingly. They also gave me a vetrans discount.

I ve used them three times so far for routine service and once for something else, which I declined for being too pricy. The service is friendly and reliable. The place can get busy, but I am always provided a ride home while I waited for them to finish. I am sharing my experience at Island Subaru Service because I want everyone to know that collectively, they are a class outfit , dependable, courteous, professional and worthy of the highest possible rating I can give. In such a busy environment with all that has happened recently on the Staten Island, the whole staff was completely organized and accommodating to any and all needs my Subaru required. The fact that this is the only Subaru service center on Staten Island is absurd, because in taking the car in for a simple scheduled oil change and tire rotation, I arrived at 9:20, sat in the waiting area for an hour before somebody called me over, and as of writing this it has been 2.5 hours since I arrived and have seen other customers come and go, yet mine is apparently still being serviced. This is a disgrace.

I dropped off my 2015 Subaru for service was in and out in about 20 minutes and the advisor set up Uber for me to take me home. I give them 5 stars because the staff took care of me, professional and friendly.

I don't recommend this place to anyone. It was a bad experience starting from trying to make an appointment by phone for many days then try to do it online with representative who told me they will call me again to give me an appointment but they never call me for 5 days so I tried to call them again and finally someone picked up the phone and give me an appointment. When I go there one of the guys on the reception (tall guy sitting on the left side) was very unprofessional ad very rude he was make fun on customers after they left and after few minutes he had an argument with of the customers and start to fight with him then he take off his face mask and start to eat in his desk in front of customers. They told me they will wash my car for free but when I go back to pick up my car. I found they didn't wash it. I'm gonna report that to Subaru main office because that's completely unprofessional

With all respect to the hard working, diligent workers who serviced my call (which was recalled), all 5 stars go to Primo for this one. Every part of this experience was sub par - there was nothing memorable. It took over a month to resolve the situation. However, Primo remembered the situation and did everything in his power to remedy the missteps made by Subaru.When someone cares enough to go above and beyond for a customer, even when that customer is not in the best mood, they deserve 5 stars. Primo is an asset to your company.

I went to have my first service on my Subaru Forester. I was very pleased with my experience with the Service Department. Besa was the first person I worked with. Besa was Professional, she knew my time frame and was totally Understanding. Besa exemplified Customer Service, Dedication she was Pro Active and showed Positive Attitude. Now Cecilia at the service counter who took my information and set my service up made me feel very comfortable, I felt like I was part of a family. Cecilia was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction with places in the area to go to while I was waiting. Cecilia told me an hour was my wait time and it was exactly that, no more waiting. Paperwork was done, car was done and Besa was the one who delivered it to me. Great 5 Star Experience and Service and yes Besa I left with a smile. Great Work and a Big Thank You to All...

I bought a 2020 Subaru STI two weeks ago at Subaru island and there was issue with the wheel alignment and when I make a wide U turn, I hear a popping noise from the front left. I scheduled an appointment today, one of the lady said I won t get my car today and there s no loaner car due to the pandemic. My husband and I was thinking what to do while waiting for the advisor cause we live all the way from Queens. We thought we might have to drive back and schedule a service appointment in queens, until we got to speak to the advisor Priamo. He s friendly, professional, listen and understand our concern. We explained the issues with the car and he asked the manager Belsa to test drive. Belsa was friendly and very professional. Once she drove the car for awhile she identified the issues. Priamo went above and beyond to get the issues fixed today. I truly appreciate everything. Also, Zach was the technician who got the wheel alignment fixed. The service is EXCELLENT and thank you Priamo, Belsa, and Zach!!

The staff is friendly, the customer waiting area is clean but the service time is long. An oil change with the car being dropped off at 9 am and gets the car returned at 3 pm. This place now offers Lyft pick up and drop off.

Island Subaru Service location.Scheduled appointment for airbag recall a week in advanced, representative told me it would take 3 hours, only found out it would take the whole day, from 9am to 5pm on a weekday. Lost time could not be returned.

Was told by the person I scheduled a repair that I would be able to wait 2 hours. Upon arrival I was told that in actuality that it would be 6 hours. Left and will never go back. Plus 145 per hour is a little ridiculus.
