If I could give zero stars I would I went for a wheel alignment and turned out my car needed more than an alignment. Things seemed to be going well and Mike and his coworker (who s name I did not catch) were explaining to me the potential issues and answering my questions which I really appreciated. A few minutes later, as I am on the phone I hear them talking to one another about my high expectations and mocking my questions and concerns. I was shocked at how nice they seemed to my face but as soon as they thought I was not listening they mocked and ridiculed me. I do not appreciate being treated in a condescending way nor do I think any customers or person in general should be mocked for wanting to understand what the issue is and how to solve it. It s literally their job - I m not a mechanic so there s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to understand what will be done to my car. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. You deserve to be treated like a respectable human being.Mike and coworker, I hope you learn that words do have an impact - you lost a customer and I cannot in good faith ever recommend you to anyone I know.

Walked in at 820 am to have engine light issues checked the guy at the front was like okay its $125 so I agreed he recommended to change th oil first maybe that will solve the issues I agreed. Everything seemed good however this was not my car so I didn't know what year or model it was I expressed that to him and he visually seemed angry about that i Ingorned that and I did say sorry it's not my car. While I was waiting for the my ride I noticed the place I parked was not the best as bus could easily hit the car so 14 min of waiting I went inside the office now here is why he is getting such a low rating. I walked in and first word out of his mouthFront desk: "now what?"Me: smiling I didn't even get a chance to say anythingFront desk: here take your keys I don't wanna work on it. Come back next week.Me: confused as heck at first I thought he was joking but then he throw my keys at me.So keep your apologizes don't say their was miscommunication of any sort.For those wondering skin color wise I'm brown and the front desk was white make of that what you will.WILL NOT BE GOING THERE CAUSE TRULY I MIGHT ACTUALLY CATCH A CHARGE. PEOPLE LOVE PLAYING VICTIM. but yeah full content description can't comment on work as they didn't do a dam thing but if this how they start you decide if you want to leave your property with people like this.

Very welcoming place . Very informative to their customers on things they don t know . Mr Mike helped a lot on things on my wheel alignment . Recommended.

Stopped by for an inspection and basically a I'm too busy with a rude attitude about it. There seems to be a number of reviews about their attitude. I get id you're busy, but you can be polite. I wouldn't trust anyone who acts like that.

My mom and I have been coming to this place for years. Family owned honest reputable and extremely knowledgeable. Scotty is the absolute best!! Always get you in and out always makes time for you. Explains everything thoroughly. Great fair prices and they know exactly what they are doing!! Makes you feel like family!!! Always get my inspection done here as well. Much better than going to some chain auto repair where they really could care less and look to overcharge you!! Thank you Scotty and staff at island tech you are great!!!!

Excellent owner and mechanics. You wont get screwed over like most shops. You get an honest evaluation with all viable options detailed out with no pressure. Fair prices with quality, guaranteed work. I came here from PA because I have used their services before, and trust them over all others.

They did a great job fixing my car and getting it to pass inspection in record time. Their attention to detail and patience answering all questions was greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend!

Very arrogant. Tells me at $75 to put car on the lift and diagnose then mechanic tells me while hes driving it's 25 I don't know why he charged 75. I don't care about the price but they're also very arrogant in there and just have a very condescending tone very mafioso type. Steer clear from this place

For me, every business comes down to its management and qualified employees. Owner, Scott is extremely knowledgeable, patient and manacle about getting the job does precisely correct. His attitude towards service is immediately presented by the immaculate esthetics of his shop. Everything is in perfect order, which is consistent with how he repairs your vehicle. Just don t litter on his property, that ll cost you far more than the price of fixing your car. Hahaha. I highly recommend having your car maintained by this establishment. There s no room to haggle, don t bother. The prices are set, but the work is reflective of the quality servicemen they have working in your car. It s rare that I take the time to type a recommendation. In this case, I feel I will be doing anyone who appreciates a solid and reputable auto mechanic shop, a favor by doing so. I traveled from Colts Neck NJ to deal with him. Need I say more. FYI. Across from him is Ace discount tire shop. Phenomenal as well.

A bunch of crooks! I had a messed up control arm and something else from my left driver side wheel. Had the nerve to charge me for the wheel alignment then tell me it needs to be fixed, so essentially the wheel alignment was pointless SMH. On top of that, he quotes me 800 dollars for the job. I went and got the parts myself and paid my mechanic to install for a grand total of $350. Less than half! Moral of the story is mechanics will try to fleece you if you don't know better.

My Husband made an appointment here to get our car inspected. Upon arrival he was told the tent was illegal and he would not inspect it. Funny story is they inspected the same car last year and we had the receipt to prove it. My husband was told the receipt was basically a fake. The owner is a racist if you are a person of African decent you are not welcome here. We went to another establishment and received our inspection without any issues. Same car same day.

Scott is very understanding of the needs of my vehicle. An only puts in dealer parts whether it is windshield wipers or a water pump. He knows how to get longevity out of my car an Tommy is a great mechanic...

I'm so grateful to have a fine mechanic like Island Tech II. Never have to second guess Scott, Anthony or Tommy. They have always figured out exactly what the problem is and the best and least expensive way to address it. Total satisfaction! It is rare and certainly appreciated .

Been there before for auto inspections. Called to ask a question and he answered me but when I needed a quick advice on my car trouble he immediately dismissed me and said he was busy and he couldn't talk. I apologize to him because he sounded like he was annoyed with me. I'm not going back to that place ever. Not like he cares anyway.

This place is clean, professional and QUICK! Literally right off of the Bayonne bridge (if you re coming from Jersey- SUPER easy commute). I came as a walk in for a NYS Inspection and was in and out of there fast on a Saturday morning! Love this place!!!

Scotty is the mad scientist and can fix anything, maybe it will cost a tad more but you'll never have the problem you come to fix bother u again and they warranty and guarantee the work that if by chance u have a problem just bring it back and they will fix to no cost to you!!
