I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received at Island Hyundai for my Hyundai Santa Fe '19, which has 37,000 miles. When my engine light illuminated with error code P2096, I initially suspected a minor issue due to the low mileage. However, after the dealership's inspection, they claimed additional problems like a gasket leak, worn brake pads, and dirty spark plugs, quoting $1600 for all repairs.Despite the warranty coverage, I requested only the warranty-covered issues be addressed and the error code cleared. Shockingly, they refused, citing corporate Hyundai's potential rejection of the claim due to perceived lack of maintenance. Essentially, they implied the warranty wouldn't be honored unless we spent enough money to make it worth their while.This is not only exploitative but also contradicts Hyundai's warranty coverage assurance. As a loyal Hyundai customer, I expected better treatment and adherence to warranty agreements. I urge them to investigate and ensure fair treatment of customers in line with warranty terms.

If I could give zero stars I would. This dealership is one of the reasons most Staten islanders buy their cars in NJ. The service manger is unprofessional and unknowledgeable. The service manager asked me where did you buy your car and I had to explain to him the car has a Hyundai warranty not a dealership warranty. But I tell everyone to do exactly what the service manager told me GO TO NEW JERSEY TO SERVICE YOUR CAR . I brought my 2021 Hyundai in for service and the manager ASSUMED it was not a factory defect and charged me $850 to fix my car. Please read all the other reviews and you will see a pattern of bad and unprofessional service.

Good experience today for a transmission service, took about 2 hours and my service advisor, Bianca Lopez, was straight to the point and didn't force any unnecessary services. Will return for future service needs.

Updated review. I had a bad experience during my first oil change (3.5 hours wait, and other small complaints), but a manager called me and apologized, they were short staffed and overbooked that day. I had 2 more visits since then and a service was very professional and fast.

Quickly and easily booked my appointment online for a(nother) safety recall. The Service Center is always great - no long wait times, ever, and I really appreciate that this service center offers complimentary Lyft rides to/from. The link they provide with inspection details is also helpful.Staff is pleasant, the establishment seems to be run competently, and I m sure I ll have a positive experience again with the next inevitable safety recall.

I was skeptical about making a service appointment because of the prior bad reviews, but I had no issues at all. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful, especially Jan and Stephanie. Worse service so far. I agree with the other review, the guy at the service desk had an attitude every time I asked for updates on my car that stayed there for weeks. However when my husband called he will give them to him. My husband had to call management to be able to get an ETA on the part, frustrating and ridiculous!!I was really looking foward to have this Kia as our go to place and ofcourse buy our next car...well this whole experience ruined it!

Horrible day today and has happened in the past. Took a day off with no pay because the car screen and sticker says maintenance due besides an email from Hyundai saying to bring it in. I come in they say it's an error and they can't give the car maintenance. I should be compensated for these errors and other customers. Also not having hardship for customers during pandemics and emergencies is horrid. Also the car was sold to me needing a wheel alignment and they refuse to fix it. The worst service center I've been to.

Service not as good as six years ago. Did not ask client the right needs so lots of misunderstanding and confusing. Also people at service desk with some attitude during explained procedures. Long Island and NJ both have better services.

They had my car there three weeks, efore they even looked at it and when I called the company the told me that was unexcepable, and should have given us a loener car,while I waited on the phone they call Sansone in New Jersey and told me to two it there ,and they would check it right away,which they did,at witch time we checked out the inventory and found a suv we liked and bought it on the spot,while the car was made ready we met two others from Staten island buying cars there too,bottom line NEVER BUY FROM ISLAND HYUNDAI, THEY OFFERED 6000 FOR OUR TRADE,SAMSON GAVE US 11000,NEVER BUY FROM ISLAND HYUNDAI.
