I called this place 2 weeks ago because i had to get an inspection done during my break, I work at the hospital. First of all the customer service is phenomenal from the second Steve answered the phone, to when I got there & my inspection was done I felt taken care of. Unfortunately I needed more than an inspection but everything worked out. I am a person that loves to read reviews before I go somewhere so I m leaving a review for the next person.Your car will be in great hands! 10/10.

I always come here for my car inspection and they are so accommodating. Everytime it s been same day service and can be done in 10 minutes. One time they informed me that tires needed to be rotated and the prices are also fair

I've been to lots of shops over the years and none of them compared to the service here. They always found the issues right away when my guesses were wrong. Always fixed it right the first time with no hassle. True Profesionals.

Once again I had such an awesome experience with the employees of this place. Never anything but extremely nice and professional. I recently took my car to Hylan Auto Repair for some much needed maintenance and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service I received. From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly and professional. They listened to my concerns and provided helpful recommendations without trying to upsell me on unnecessary services.The work on my car was completed in a timely manner and at a fair price. I was also happy to see that they use high quality parts and stand behind their work with a solid warranty.Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hylan Auto Repair and will definitely be returning for all of my future car care needs. To start off, I got to know this place when my sister got a flat tire on Sunday. All the repair shops were closed including this one, but we were unsure about this one and decided to stop by. When we came over, the owner and I guess one of his workers stopped by for a meet up, and when we asked if they were open, they replied we are closed, but what do you need? We told them we got a flat tire and they said it will be an easy and quick fix and they will take care of it. They fixed the flat tire in about 5-10 minutes. Of course we left them a tip and moved on.So in the house hold we have 3 cars, and they service all three of them. Stopped by for a ac problem with my Honda CR-V. With Acura MDX stopped by for actually all the lights showing up on the dash board and the car was being unresponsive. At the same time we changed disk brakes and brake pads. It ended up costing about $400, and I expected way more. The disk brakes alone costs like $300.Overall this place is very reliable and affordable! They will take care of you as you are a family member! They will do a check up and let you know what s wrong before starting any work. You can bring your own parts and they will charge you for the labor only. That s why I give them 5 stars and would recommend to everyone on the island and near by!So now anytime we have any issue with the car we always come over here. And also we always recommend this place.

I heared clicking sound whenever I turn and felt rumbling noise whenever I drove over pathholes. Elson was professional, kind, patient and listened to all My complaints about the car. The normal outcome of Elson's professional attitude that he diagnosed the problem perfectly and replaced my front left axle and the front right sway bar link for a great price in a little amount of time. Also his crew is outstanding and so respectful. I would recommend this shopfor anyone who is seeking for honesty and professionalism. TService: Steering & suspension replacement

Steve, Elson, and the mechanics at Hylan Auto Repairs are very professional. I go to Hylan Auto Repairs every year for my vehicle inspection without any issue. The mechanics also go through the extra effort to inform me of anything to be concerned about or how to take better care of the car. Recently, the mechanic found alarming cracks on the inner wall of the tires that are due from aging and dry rot. The mechanics gave me a reasonable quote for a replacement of 4 tires and performed the replacement the next morning as soon as they got the delivery of the tires. Again, this is an excellent mechanic shop. I definitely recommend their services to friends and family.

Hit a pothole and was concerned if something has broken. It was Saturday afternoon but they were able to take me in right away to check it out. Owner/manager and mechanic were so nice. Will come back if I need services. Thank you!!

Excellent customer service. They did my car inspection for 10 minutes. Before I called few other places they ve told I had to leave a car or wait for 1 hour. Guys are very nice there , I ll come back next year.

Very good experience. I was sitting in front of their shop waiting for a traffic light when I called them. Maybe it was just good timing, but they took me right away, and finished the job in 30 minutes. I had just come from another shop that wanted me to pay $3,400 to pass inspection, and leave my truck for days. These guys did $300 worth of work in 30 minutes and I passed my inspection. My new go-to mechanics.

I highly recommend Hylan auto repair. Very welcoming and knowledgeable with many different car models. I brought my BMW here and I felt like he knew exactly what to do, when many other shops are hesitant to work on a more complex car. They work quick and efficient. Everyone is very nice there and they fixed my car within an hour of me showing up (without an appt.) Steve went above and beyond and fixed a few other things that were broken. Their prices are really reasonable. I definitely will use them for any of my future auto repairs and highly recommend them!

For the last 3 years I have had all my car repairs done here & have always dealt with the owner Nick. Nick has always been kind and honest. I trusted in him to take care of my car and felt his prices were fair. I stopped in there on Monday, the owner Steve was there & I told him the control arm they installed was broken & that it has a lifetime warranty. He said no problem & I said I will be in on Friday at 3:00. I arrived at 2:55. I give him my keys and after a short time they pull my car into the bay. I come back 45 minutes later & my car is backed out and parked. I said perfect timing. At that moment a Mercedes is pulling into the bay my car was taken out of. I m told my car was never worked on yet. I said wait, you just bumped me because my car is only a warranty repair and the Mercedes is making you more money. He gave me so many excuses, insulting my intelligence. Finally after 2 hours they fixed my car. It only took 44 minutes for the mechanic to do. I asked why the labor charge was so much and Steve said because he helped the mechanic. As for the mechanics Elson and Steven, they are very friendly and knowledgeable. Bottom line, Steve the owner is a total shady, arrogant A$$hole. Although Nick is wonderful, I will never step foot in that place again.

While driving along Hylan blvd today, I got a fat tire!! Pulled right into Hylan Auto repair and they fixed my tire almost instantly. Thanks to the wonderful owner and his staff. Amazing!!Service: TiresService: Tires

I googled auto body repair and came across this place. I was in a "fender bender" and this place was near my home so I decided to give them a try; I do not regret it! I am a nurse and just got off a 12-hour shift so I really appreciated the staff being attentive, honest, and quick with the service. I left satisfied with their work and would recommend them if you want fast and friendly service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I used to like this place. The young mechanics are really nice and respectful. That being said, the old geezers are rude and obnoxious. They just don't care about your car and just don't care to put enough effort. Did a horrible repair work. I had to go to Firestone and pay additional fees to work on same issues. If I could opt in for only young guys to work on my car, I'd go back. But as long as dinosaurs are working they have lost me as a customer.

Best auto repair/customer support experience I've had on Staten Island!Needed my NYS Inspection renewed and read reviews about how great Hylan Auto Repairs was so I decided to give them a try.Greeted by Steve when I arrived, he took a look at my car and noticed an issue with my oil levels. Rather than just replace the oil, Steve also diagnosed a more serious issue with my oil pan. Not only was he able to get me a very reasonable quote on everything, but he was able to get the parts and his team worked on my car all in the same day. Picked it up first thing in the morning and couldn't be happier with the service.Thanks again to the guys at Hylan Auto Repairs. Will definitely recommend to others!

I drove all the way from Delaware to buy a car in Staten Island.... immediately it needed a water pump and a transmission flush ! Didn t know that till I took it to Hylan Auto repair. They were such a blessing , they fixed my car the price was more than fair even compared to Delaware prices.... very honest , trustworthy the car was fixed and is running like new thanks guys!
