I would not refer Mark to anyone after my experience I had, unless you want to pick up your vehicle with more damage than what was there when you dropped it off. I have never dealt with someone more unprofessional and rude. I am honestly unsure how there are so many high ratings as Ive never experienced such terrible customer service at any car shop. My bmw was rear ended which caused damage to my back bumper and trunk. I communicated clearly that I wanted to order the parts myself to avoid shipping and damaged parts. Well Mark chose not to do what I asked and decided to order everything himself on top of not returning my calls for over a week. The communication was terrible throughout the three weeks my car was left sitting at his shop. On top of this, I picked up my car with the coolant hose unplugged which caused me 300 dollars in damage to repair. Giving Mark the benefit of the doubt that this problem was not due to his negligence, I did not place blame & paid for the issue to be fixed at my automotive shop. Though after another 2 weeks pass, I notice my car having problems starting. Come to find out, the battery box in my trunk was completely full of water which Mark stated himself that he did not check when it was at his shop, pure negligence. This was caused by Mark ordering the trunk himself and it came in damaged, due to this Mark left my trunk not fully sealed causing rain to flood inside. This issue was communicated to Mark numerous times to try to fix what he caused, his response resulted to yelling at me in person very defensively. This issue ruined my battery, my starter and my electrical cables that run throughout my car, that was another 600 dollars I had to spend to pay for what he had caused. I brought my car to only have body work done due to the accident and I left with having to pay 1000 dollars to fix the damage he had caused. Today, I still have no response back offering to work with me in anyway. If you care about your vehicle and your finances, please trust me and take your car to any of the other reputable body shops in Rochester.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I was referred to Mark Gillette, and have to say WOW what an amazing job! My truck which is an 07 Black Expedition was damaged in the right rear quarter panel. Gillette Automotive didn't only make the area that was repaired look better than new Mark buffed out the entire truck making it look brand new again! Thanks again Mark hopefully I wont need any more body work, but if I do I know who I'll call!

Mark and his team did a great job giving me the most for my money and making my car look great again- after two different fender- benders. I took my daughter's car in recently after a sideswipe with a guardrail and it was fixed to look brand new for a few hundred less than he first quoted- and for way less than other shops! Our cars looked washed and shiny when we picked them up, too. With Gillette's great service and savings, I've had more money left over for unrelated mechanical repairs- which are inevitable when you own cars over 10 or 15 years old!

Top notch paint shop. Been doing business with Mark Gillette for 35 years. His staff can handle any job. Always priced fair and quality is priority one.

Recently used Gillette automotive for collision work again as I was Extremely happy with his work the last time. There are many places on ridge road west that sell cars. This business sits back off the road, and he dose not sell cars as other reviews indicated.

I had a major front end impact on my car and the insurance company was top notch and would pay whatever it took to get it right. When Gillette put the car back together they mickey moused some of the main electrical wiring at the impact area which later caused numerous shorts in the car operating system.Also the jury rigged the front bumper body clips and drilled holes to make it fit instead of correcting the problem as to why it didnt fit and all the lines did not come together.They ignored my request at replacing the rim and tire where the direct impact happened, which they said was fine but driving the car proved otherwise as it could be felt in the front end. Had three other professional repair shops look at it and all agreed it was a bad tire and rim due to the impact accident. Insurance company paid my tie and rime new install in a supplemental claim with a legitimate repair shop.Also Gillette never did a front end alignment which would be standard procedure with that type of side front hard impact. Found out that the accident thru car out of alignment( not rocket science) and had other professionals take care of the problem. There is no doubt Gillette cut corners and exhibited very poor service in every aspect and cant be trusted to do the job right!!To top off all this hack job they did, when I inquired about items that were not done right the owner took an bad attitude with me and was rude and argumentative.Nothing worse than having bad workmanship followed up by defensive attitude.I would never ever bring another vehicle to them and recommend you look elsewhere. Very detailed work for less than other repair places. Mark did repair different than other repair store said. Other place was way more expensive and needless work.Thanks Mike
