The starter on my girlfriend s car went kaput last week. She had only just the week before had to have the clutch repaired, so there wasn t a lot of money left for a new starter and she absolutely needed it fixed asap. No place nearby had one in stockI had used Xcel probably about 25 years ago for an alternator, so I brought it there.They didn t have one either, but he offered to rebuild it and had it done within a couple hours. (Much cheaper than a remanufactured one at any of the big auto parts chains would have cost me,btw)I got it home and installed before my gal got home from work.Thank you Xcel, you made me the hero of the day!

I'm a life-long resident of Schenectady, used Xcel Auto several times, never disappointed. They sell quality rebuilt starters and alternators, wouldn't go any place else for one.

This is the best place ever, to get your electrical auto, truck And equipment work done. You will pay honest and fair pricing, and you can bring your failed alternator, starter etc. in, and they will rebuild it. I drive Audi, and had purchased an older one that had a blown starter due to a failed ignition switch, well I dropped that starter off, went and took time to have a late lunch, and then stopped back to pick it up, like new. That is personal service !! My brother brings his heavy equipment starters, alternators, etc. here exclusively. Five stars ! And these guys definitely Do know what they are doing, been in the business of rebuilding for decades, over 40 years !! And, Everyone that I talk to about Xcel, raves about how well these guys have treated them, and they also recommend their work.

This place has super fast & friendly service, the prices are the better than any part store out there, I spent $100 on a part that advance auto wanted $200. I will always use them from now on. Save $ shop @ XCEL AUTO ELECTRIC. Thank you so much!

Great service, "Xcel"ent work, and Xceptional customer service. Don't buy new parts, when you can have them rebuilt!!!! Save some money and go see these guys. They are Xtremely knowledgeable and skilled.Update. Needed to order parts for a starter, next day Bamalam! And he even showed me how to fix it right in front of me, less than 5 minutes. Why would anyone go anywhere else??

Worst experience I ever had in my life the two owners don't know what's going on with each other I wouldn't even give them one star Had parts for two weeks then tell me he can't do them could not even return my calls
