Took my car here for service. Making an appointment was so easy. Everyone by phone and in person was lovely. They have a cute waiting area if you stay during the work. I saw them handle other customers as my car was in - everyone was kind and professional. They will tell you any recommendations they have and don't make you feel like you need to do them right then and there - even supply the list if you want to hold off or get the work done elsewhere. Found the cutest thing in my car after. Weeks later I got this in the mail too! (Photos may be out of order)

Best. Sales. Experience. EVER!! Eric Boodhoo, make sure you ask for him because he will work with you to find you EXACTLY what you want and he won t stop until he finds it for you! I had been to other dealers, local to me in VT and farther afield, no one did for me what he did. He greeted us right away as we walked in, sat us down, made a list of what I wanted and what I didn t and got busy. He didn t push me into anything, he didn t try to sell me anything I didn t want, he took the time and he was determined and he found me exactly the right car! And let me tell you I put him through the wringer - he was patient, understanding and got the job done right. I LOVE my new car!! Great salesman, great dealership, great experience - Jeremiah s the best too - give Matthews Auto a try, you ll be glad you did!!

Eric Boodhoo, I busted this poor guys chops for weeks and weeks. He put up with me through thick and thin. Finally at the finish line today, I'm picking up my b.n Tucson Limited. Olivia was awesome to work with! Very patient and understanding and actually worked with me! Jeremiah was also extremely helpful. This is my second lease with this team and it has been great both times. Things actually go smoothly and rather quickly. Love my new lease! They were soooo helpful, I can t thank them enough!! I purchased a brand-new 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid from them, informing them that I would be financing through my bank. However, they ran my credit without consent to assess approval for their financing and offered a mug as an apology.During my scheduled first oil change, I encountered a significant issue. After driving for 20 minutes post-service, the oil change light illuminated, indicating a lack of oil. The gasket was not properly installed, resulting in a leak and potential engine damage. Despite towing the car, their compensation was a $20 Walmart card.Within a year of buying the car, I faced persistent check engine light issues, causing delays on the highway and impacting my work schedule. The initial attempt to address this lasted two days without identifying the problem. The second attempt, lasting four days, concluded with them admitting they hadn't looked into it yet. Additionally, they don't offer loaner cars, forcing me to rent one. The overall dealership service has been unsatisfactory, leading to another highway breakdown and prompting me to share this review.

I cannot recommend the experience at Matthews Hyundai highly enough! Marcus, John, and Connor are the best. I had my eye on a specific vehicle, and they did EVERYTHING to put me into that vehicle. I ve had some recent challenges, and I was super apprehensive about the buying process, but everyone was so nice, so honest, and so helpful that they really made a stressful situation so much easier. I also came to the sale with my support team in tow, and they treated all three of us amazingly and respectfully. Thank you again, Marcus, John, and Connor- I m sending everyone I know your way!

MATHEWS HYUNDAI is the ONLY place to buy a car. And ask for ERIC BAUER! My husband and I agreed we were overwhelmed with the integrity of this business transaction. Mathews offered a good product, on-lot inventory, friendly service and better than fair price. We drove 60 miles to deal with Mathews, after hearing so many good things about them. We are glad we did. I proudly drove out my 2024 Tucson Ltd with husband and dog riding shot gun. Thank you Eric and the team.

This place is AMAZING! Tim was my salesman and he was awesome! The transmission on my 2016 Nissan had went for the 2nd time, and nobody seemed to be able to help me or even care enough to help me. I walked into Matthew s with nothing but FAITH! Literally! . Tim walked me through everything. The outcome was AMAZING! . I Walked out of there with a brand new 2024 Hyundai Venue! I strongly recommend Matthew s Hyundai of Schenectady! Ask for Tim!!!

After 5 different dealers, no one even coming close to what I wanted to pay salesperson Anthony and the sales manager Mike were able to get me I to a vehicle(the one I wanted but another dealer could not make happen). I bought a car for my daughter and within 4 months the whole rear sub frame was corroded due to rust. What would have been a very expensive repair job, Mathew s Hyundai fixed it for free! I am super thankful and grateful for them. They are super friendly and pleasant but best of all they did an amazing job with fixing the vehicle. There were a few hiccups with the timing of when the vehicle should have been fixed but one of their employees named Nick loaned us a rental until it was fixed and that was also free of charge!

Fix a flat used on my tire damaged the tire pressure monitor system which the dealership said it needed to be replaced. This was not one of the issues that I originally brought my car in for and when I received a call from the dealership, it sounded like they were going to replace this without first getting my consent to replace. The only reason they didn t replace it was because they would have had to order the part since none was left in stock. It would have run me about $400 to replace had they done so. After driving my car home the tire pressure monitor began working again and the light on my dash turned off. Turns out it didn t need to be replaced at all, just needed to drive it a little first.

I brought my elderly Dad to Matthew Hyundai to purchase his last new vehicle. (His words) We worked with Anthony, he was knowledgeable, professional while being kind and considerate to my dad s wants and needs. We had a very pleasant experience at Matthews Hyundai of Schenectady. Olivia and Connor worked with us and they listened to what we were looking for and showed us a couple different vehicles until we found the one that was just right for us. I bought my first car here! Olivia was amazing!She was so patient and even when the first car I was interested in sold she found me another within the same day! She was very helpful through the whole process and made it easy and stress free! I even got to keep the little stuffy they put in my window ! Highly recommend Olivia for all your car needs!

My first visit to Matthews of Schenectady was on November 20, 2023 to have my weatherstripping (outside noise) and my shocks checked. Mind you it doesn't take a technician to figure out that the weather stripping and shocks are bad. Anyone who drove in my vehicle noticed it soon after take off. One of the top reasons why I purchased my Hyundai is because of the 100,000 miles/10 year warranty. Had I known the trouble that I would be put through and the hours of work I d miss I would definitely rethink my purchase. I live an hour away from the Matthew Hyundai of Schenectadyso every time they don t hold to their word it s a huge waste of my time, day and lost wages. November 20, 2023. Nicholas Fear was my advisor. With Nicholas, we discussed an oil change and to have my tires rotated. I also explained what problems I was having. They agreed to order my weather stripping and rear shocks. On my receipt I was charged $34.95 for a tire rotation. They never rotated my tires. I had my trusted mechanic check their work and also test drive my vehicle to confirm that there is outside noise in the cabin, and that the shocks are no good. He said that my lug nuts are seized on and there s no way that they were rotated. And just to double check I went and got a second opinion. It was the same as the first opinion. Now fast-forward to February when I finally get a call from Matthew Hyundai of Schenectady to set up an appointment for my weatherstripping, and shocks. I show up there took a day off from work and an hour drive plus having to find someone to pick me up. They don t have me in the system for an appointment. After Dominique settles that issue I was asked if I was waiting or dropping off. Originally I was supposed to be dropping off because if I wanted to wait it would take me another month to get an appointment. I had asked Dominique to step outside with me so I could show her something on the two back doors. Something that was visual to the eye, and could be possibly the root cause for my cabin noise. She took note of it. After that I was on my way. Two hours later I get a call from Dominique, saying that the technician could not find anything wrong with my shocks and there was no problem with the cabin noise either. Waited four months for this appointment, took ANOTHER day off from work traveled an hour to be told that nothing was wrong with my vehicle and that they were refusing to do the work. We had some words back and forth then Dominique put me on a 45 minute hold(she hung up on me) Thank God that I have a husband. He called and and spoke to Dominique, and somehow she agreed to move on with the work order. I was told it would be done at 2:00 the same day. While on the phone to confirm my pick up time for my vehicle, Dominique told me that my brakes were bad and that my rotors were getting bad and that the technician said that she could resurface my rotors and it would be cheaper than replacing them. Thank goodness that I said no, i went to my good old trusted mechanic to look over their work. He stated that they don t resurface rotors any longer and that they were just trying to rip me off and that my brakes and rotors are just fine. So if I was able to, I would not leave no stars for a review, but in order to leave this review, I have to give at least one star. Dealing with this location has been nothing but stressful. And with my limited options on where to take my vehicle, I dread calling them back and needing their help with anything in the future that may pop up. I m willing to drive and extra hour hoping that The next service station isn t the same and I m still on the hunt trying to get my cabin noise fixed.

Purchased a car here recently and I had the best experience ever and I have purchased many vehicles in my lifetime. They gave me an excellent deal by taking the time to search for ways to make my monthly payment within my budget. They also gave me an upgraded version for the monthly payment of the non upgraded version. From the moment I walked in I was treated extremely nice, like they actually cared, unlike another dealership I had been to days prior. Faiz was my sales agent and he was very kind and patient. He took the time to explain so many things to me. The vehicle I leased has a power tailgate and he even adjusted it so that I could reach the power button more easily. He also helped me carry some things from my old to my new car. The finance guy Jeremiah explained every piece of paperwork to me thoroughly and he even took something I was paying for out so my monthly payment was a bit less each month and no one asked him to do that. He was also a very kind nice guy. The other finance guy Dylan who originally worked up the numbers was just the best. He did everything possible to get me the best deal for the price I could comfortably manage. He was not only very kind but also a lot of fun and he was very empathetic regarding my previous not very positive experience at another Hyundai dealership. My overall experience was extremely positive and I am not someone who typically leaves reviews! I will definitely do business here again!! Also the building itself will be expanding and having a makeover in the near future. Oh and did I mention I felt they were all very honest with me. I don t always feel that way about sales people. I also liked that they were all very laid back there. I didn t feel rushed or like they weren t interested in my needs. Do yourself a favor and check them out if you re looking for a vehicle!!

I think Matthews Hyundai service does a lot of things really well. I especially like that the service person, Nick, whom I first met 3 yrs ago, still oversees meme vehicle s service, each time I bring my car in whether it s for routine service or otherwise. He goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and is an asset to the dealership.

Then he explained to me the different features of the car and patiently and thoroughly answered my questions. He was open to conversation with both me and my husband. Just purchased a new Santa Fe from Matthews Hyundai. Excellent experience. The salesman, Eric Bauer, was fantastic. Showed us multiple vehicles and was very patient as we worked through the decision process of what would be best for us. No pressure sales pitches from Eric or any of the Matthews staff. We would highly recommend giving Eric a call if you are in the market for a Hyundai vehicle.
