I have my motor being completely rebuilt by Hunts machine shop.Right from the beginning they helped us know more of the proper build for what we can afford and still be able to get the durability as well the reliability. We have been receiving the great respect, professional curiosity, and feel relaxed knowing you have the best people doing the work. When we go to pick up our motor they give us the proper information of starting the engine and the real knowledge to break in the engine. He has shown us the care he put into our engine. So if you or a family member is in need to have your engine to be built right, right from start to finish and have questions to help you with the proper choices so you know the proper Professional Care is being built into your engine. So stop by and give your engine the care it really needs and you want. So you know you and your family can always rely on your engine for the long lasting durability you expect. I know we all do.

Called a month ago and got a quote for $60 per cylinder to bore only. Called back today to set it up and now they wanna charge me $85 a cylinder and wont just bore it only. Dont tell me one thing then switch it on me. Went to XCLR8 in Latham instead.

Hunts machine has an amazing staff . Dave has lots of experience with engines and will give very useful suggestions. I had block and head work done here and I was impressed with how they came out. The average wait time for me was 2 to 3 days. I highly reconmend hunts auto for all your machining work.

called Hunt's Machine to ask some simple questions about the way their process works because I have an engine that I want checked for any imperfections. I was told it was going to cost a few hundred just for them to tear down the engine. When I asked what the processes were that made up the price (not because I was complaining but because I was actually curious) I was rushed off the phone. When I told him I would find another company Dave almost sounded happy to lose the business telling me it didn't matter because he had plenty of customers including one that was walking in the door just then. Growing up and going into different shops with my grandfather I saw hard working people that couldn't thank the customer enough for giving them business. Now we have people working in these shops that could care less about who they do or don't help. It's really a shame because I was relieved to find an actual machine shop that was somewhat local. I will never ever pick up the phone again to call this place and neither should anyone else. I hope they lose customers with the kind of attitude I as a brand new customer was given...

Wish it could be less than 1. Have my motor built there got it back burning oil. Brought it back he said he would take care of it. After months of waiting I got the car back leaking oil, STILL burning oil and the look of someone who didn't care when they put the motor back in the car. Contacted Dave Hint yet again and was told he cant afford to lose any more money on my car that he is done with it. Brought it to another shop that said Hunts cut alot of corners and didnt put much effort into it. The valve seals are what was leaking. After Hunts supposedly replaced them after porting my heads. Horrible business. Be careful

Brought my engine block to them to have cam bearings and freeze plugs put in and without realizing it they damaged 2 of the cam bearings brought it back and they replaced them free of charge with no problems like most places would have. Hope to do business with you guys again thanks!

A couple weeks ago, I dropped off 2 cylinders off my jet ski to get bored.. He said that they would be finished last week.. They still aren't finished.. I stopped in to pick them up today, and he is refusing to return them...

This guy doesn't pay attention to what he is doing and then lashes out at you when it doesn't go the way he wants, Caution Dangerous!!
