As you can see by the photos most of my work is off the beaten path,and that my truck is longer than most. It s extremely expensive to buy the type of tires that I depend on to get me and the equipment I use to and from the job site. So alignments are needed frequently, I can t afford to neglect a $1300.00 set of tires. It s also extremely difficult to find a reliable shop that has a rack that my truck can fit on to do a proper alignment and one who has immediate availability. They don t exist! I called Otego tire and asked for the earliest appointment they had,and like any reputable shop their soonest wasn t for about a week out. I explained my dire situation and the woman told me to hold for a moment. I wasn t expecting for her to come back on the phone and tell me to bring my truck in the following morning. God bless the good folks at Otego Tire, not only did they get my truck in ASAP, the bill was half of what I thought it would be. I m definitely sending more work their way, they ve earned it!

My car was towed to the shop after getting a flat tire. They worked diligently to get my car back to me in a timely manor. The efforts were much appreciated after the stressful event I would highly recommend their services. My whole family takes their cars here

I had my car fluid filmed, and I am very happy with the result. This is the first time Otego Tire and Auto has serviced my car, they were very nice, answered all of my questions, the price point is reasonable. I am happy with my service and would recommend them!

It s an alright place to get new brakes put on or an oil change. After 5 years of going to this place, I brought in a new ford escape that needed an inspection. I guess everyone has an off day, but they told me they couldn t hook the car up to the machine. They tried twice. They told me I should take it to Ford, right after I pay them for the inspection. I was told in no uncertain terms that it was not their problem and that they get paid wether my car passes inspection or not, and since they couldn t hook it up properly, I still had to pay.When I got to Ford, they couldn t understand what happened. They never had any problems doing my inspection. I ve never been back to this place since. My $20 (or whatever an inspection costs) was more important than my business. I ll never forget the look on the woman s face when I asked if she was serious that I still had to pay when they couldn t inspect my vehicle. I would not recommend this place for anything.Now I take all my business to Monser Brothers in Oneonta.

We bought a car from a guy who recommended Otego Tires to fix some issues (noises under the car). I took the car to them, and told them about the noises. After their evaluation of the car, they told me what was wrong. I told them to fix them all. After paying about $1,200, I still hear the noises, and noticed that the car was pulling to the right. I called them to let them about the issues. I also told them that I don t see new bolts that I have been charged for. So, when I took the car back to them, both the owner and I drove it and he heard the noises. He drove it into the garage, lifted up where I told him about the bolts as well. He told this, We had to re-use the old bolts because the new ones didn t fit. We will just reimburse you that money. I went to pick up the car and I greatly regretted of taking the car back to them. Simply because not only was I treated as an annoyance, but also the owner told that he doesn t ever want to see me at his shop as a customer. Why? Because he showed me new bolts that they putting. The question is, if he knew that, why didn t he tell me when we both were looking at the car when he put it up and say, Oh hey look! Here are the new bolts. Sometime, it s actually easy to see it: when people are so quickly defensively and inconsiderate toward the costumer, it already SAYS A LOT ABOUT THEM. Don t take my word for it. Read other reviews that are here not just the nice one, but read the real ones as well.

They replaced the water pump, transmission lines, and serpentine belt on my truck today. The price was more than fair, the turnaround was less than a day, and they're professional all around. Otego Tire and Auto is the only place in the area I'll take my cars to. I can't recommend them highly enough. Even living in Oneonta, the short 10 minute drive is more than worth it.

Our truck broke down away from home and we managed to make it to Otego Tire and Auto. Shawn determined what was wrong, repaired it and had us on our way in less than 2 hours. What a wonderful shop with friendly people, reasonable rates and outstanding service. Thank you so much!

Wonderful, normally my son the mechanic, infact he is the only one I previously let work on my car but due to his busy schedule I had to find a garage for pressing matters. A friend suggested this place and I can t say enough good about them. They told me the same thing my son did and were very knowledgeable. I m very pleased.

Absolutely the best! Our wiper fluid froze for the second time. We went to their shop, they took the car, cleaned the lines and had us back on the road in less than 15 minutes and they wouldn't take any payment! Best service around!

Unbelievable! Had slow leak in wife's tire while on vacation. Not only did they squeeze me in for repair, but also fixed it for free. Very friendly and way too nice. I would go back there for life if I lived in New York!

Went in for an estimate and they fit me in and fixed the problem right away recommend by the previous owner who says this is where I would get good honest service since as a single mom I ve been burned to a crisp by many mechanics in this town! I will definitely come here for everything as well as recommend this place to anyone looking for good honest service! Thank you

I tried their online tire buying feature and boy, was that great! Was able to price different brands and then compared their prices against TireRack, Walmart and our local BJ's and their price beat them all! Made the appointment right online and then was called up by a real person to verify all the info. When they were installing my tires, they noticed that a critical tailpipe hanger was broken and welded it up... for free! Place is nice and clean, people very friendly and they really know their stuff. They have a customer for life in me.

Went in after a recommendation from customers at Jake's deli. John was able to offer alternatives to what we felt was a costly and complicated solution to our friends heater core issue. I highly recommend places such as Otego Tire and Auto since the staff could have easily not gone the extra mile to present other option.
