Our experience here was truly exceptional. On the way from Watertown to Rochester our car started to buck and stall as we entered Oswego. Under time pressure we looked for a local garage that was AAA affiliated and found Oswego Auto & Tire. I managed to get the car there and was helped by Steve. What a kind gentleman. It was snowing--he first said to bring my wife & daughter in from the cold. He said they'd give the car a quick look to see if something minor was the problem so we could resume our trip (a medical appt). When it was apparent more time was necessary we made arrangements with a very helpful local car rental office and were able to make our Rochester appointment. While there, Steve called to say the car was fixed and we could pick it up on the way back. This shop helped us immensely in a tough situation. Our car was fixed and the bill was fair. We were treated with courtesy and respect. We saw people come & go while in their waiting area--every person was treated that same way; it seemed Steve knew everyone's name. They--and we--were treated like family. If we lived closer, we would be regular customers. Words really can't covey how they helped us. We are very grateful.

Tyler and Steve are awesome and they do good work.I had an issue that needs replacement of control arms and they fixed it completely. I also drive German engineering which deters many local shops from doing work. They took the work without issue and They were timely, transparent and easy to work with. 10/10 would recommend

I got a Subaru Forester from an independent dealer in Oswego on 3/9. I got it checked by mechanics in Syracuse on 3/11, and an engine oil leak was found. The car was under a 1-month warranty. I called Tyler, who is the appointed mechanics by the dealer, and was told the earliest appointment was on 3/19. I drove one hour on the snowy morning of 3/11 after working a night shift. Tyler acknowledged the leak and I was told that the repair would take about 2.5 hours. I waited for the 2.5 hours. Then I was told, All set. The car is ready . I drove the car back to Syracuse and smelled some burning rubber after parking. I called Tyler and was told it was normal. I brought the car to be checked by the mechanics in Syracuse. They told me Nothing was done. There was no repair at all . I called Tyler and he told me to bring the car back. The earliest appointment will be on 3/27. Oswego Auto and Tire, where Tyler works, has great reviews. But what has happened to me has made me suspicious of their honesty. I can only give a one star and this is what they deserve. I will bring my car there to be fixed on 3/27 and I will see what will happen. If there is anything wrong with the car in the near future, whether it is the leak or something else, I would highly suspect the shop has done something behind my back.Will keep this post open.Response to the owner: I always respect and give priority to local business which are honest and are good at what they do. You have to take the responsibility for what you have done. I will not bring my car back with your attitude. Will end this discussion.

The dude at the front desk was awesome, I think his name was Tyler, gave me all the info I needed on warrant information and even went above and beyond to get my warranty information for me. Great work and was done and diagnosed in no time. Great place to bring your vehicle and very trustworthy guys. Will definitely be revisiting if needed!

Oswego Auto has polite, friendly staff. Tyler scheduled my repair as soon as possible. My auto repair was completed fast and efficiently. We were back on the road the same day!

Very helpful and quick work! We brought a car in that we were trying to do some minor repairs on before selling. Turns out we needed to repair more than we thought! The shop (and Tyler in particular) helped us get the car in tip-top shape in no time - and at a reasonable price. Definitely will come back.

Finally a garage that s honest and has fair pricing. Tyler was super friendly and extremely helpful when my truck broke down and I needed a place nearby to get towed and they had me up and running fast! I can t recommend enough!

Tyler at the front desk was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. The work was done perfectly but very quickly, with Tyler calling and checking in every step of the way. Will be going there for everything in the future, 10/10 would recommend.

I absolutely love dealing with Tyler he always is kind and understanding, he cares about you and your car! That mechanic that worked on my car did an amazing job as well. They did an alignment after putting new tires on and now the car driver better than it ever has. I drive about 45min past many shops just to go to them they have been tending to my vehicles for years.

Worst experience ever! I had my car towed there 04/21/2023 for a safety recall. They told me I needed rotors that they never replaced before it was brought to the dealership. When I brought my car in to switch out my tires for this winter 2024, I was told by my regular mechanic that I needed new rotors. I brought in my receipt from Oswego Auto and Tire from April and they took pictures of my rotors that Oswego auto and tire said were replaced. They were still the original rotors on my 2014 Nissan. I will be filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. What a ripe off!

My daughter is a student at SUNY Oswego, her car had a check engine and numerous other warning lights, wouldn't go over 10mph, Tyler and the team fixed it in a day, reasonable, very courteous. We have a wheel chair van which we need for our daughter. They are aware of this,and always do their best to keep us rolling.Most recent,we had a small emergency, they got us in that day and back on the road for the holiday weekend.

My car broke down on Thursday right before the holiday weekend, and I had to have it towed to Oswego Auto and Tire. Most garages in the area were booking out at least a week, so I was afraid I was going to have to pay for a rental for a while. I called right before they closed for the day to let them know my car would be there, and Tyler said they would take a look at it the next morning. By two o'clock that next day, they had found and fixed the problem, a failed ignition coil, and my car was all set to go! I can't thank them enough, they saved me at least $400 on a rental, worked on my car faster than any other garage would have, and were incredibly pleasant to work with!

This is 100% an A+ service!!!! Steve & Tyler, along w the rest of the crew are the BEST! After 8 years of having the same type tire on my Jeep - they informed me I had the wrong tire and guided me to the best tire in the type for my off-roading style. They weren t trying to sell me the super-expensive ones I have been buying, just to make a buck - they were truly interested in my well being. Steve at one point even said - we will make sure you are safe.I have even rented U-Hauls from there and it was so easy. Great guys for sure and I will definitely recommend them to everyone!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Auto tire replacement, Oil change
